Story
Daisy is a 7 yr old Aussie or possible Aussie/BC mix, spayed on 1/13 and good with cats and kids. She is heartworm positive, and is already started on pretreatment. Ewenity will cover treatment costs for the heartworms. Daisy is being fostered in Palmetto, Florida. She just arrived at her foster's house on 1/19 and is extremely sweet and settling in nicely. ABOUT DAISY: *Very loving! She is as cuddly as they come. She would love to be a lap dog, and she will soak up all the attention you're willing to give. *Good in a crate. She is good in either an airline crate or a wire one. No separation anxiety. *Rides well in the car. *Good with cats. She ignores the cats in the house who are free-roaming; however, we have seen intense interest in birds. Her notes from the shelter say NO CHICKENS and I believe this is correct. *Super-social with people. She is sweet and submissive but will go up to anyone for pets, including kids. *Not destructive in the house, although she will get up on furniture. *Excellent leash-walker. Does not pull, and is not reactive to other dogs or people. *Not a barker. *Does not seem to have any basic obedience training. We are starting the fundamentals. *Dogs: See SPECIAL NEEDS below *Size: 37 lbs. She needs to gain a little weight.

Story
Snickers is a purebred almost 2 year old (Dec 2024) Miniature Australian Shepherd. Beautiful coloring and a lovely soft coat. A little shy at first but gets more confident. Cautious with people but does prefer women to men, cats and other dogs. He can be protective of his home. An energetic, alpha/pack leader owner and breed experience is preferred as he can nip and be a biter. Training has improved this behavior tremendously. Australian Shepherds need a very dedicated owner as they get very attached and protective, also: 1. Owners must invest time in training. 2. Aussie's need to be mentally stimulated and kept occupied as they are very intelligent. 3. They need rigorous daily exercise such as hiking, running and games of fetch. If you can provide a home to Snickers with these criteria, please complete an adoption application. Thank you $400 adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, and all vaccinations and preventatives up to date. Adopters should have the following: Single family home with fenced yard and preferably another pup to play and socialize with. Please, no long hours left alone and not crated for more than 4 hours. ** All canine pets should be altered, current on all required vaccinations, including rabies and on monthly flea, tick and heartworm prevention. ** PawLife Rescue Group reserves the right to approve or deny any application for any reason.
