Story
Hero is the hero we all need! Hero has come such a long way since entering his foster home.  He was very scared and unsure at first, but with some encouragement he has gained a lot of confidence. He is unsure with new people but warms up pretty well and is sure to be your velcro dog once he trusts you. He is a big lover like a teddy bear, he loves to cuddle.  Hero does great walking on a leash and loves to learn new things. He knows how to sit, stay and some oter basic commands, he is a smart boy! Hero is potty trained and crate trained! I have 2 small dogs of my own and he has gotten along with them well, he likes to tease them to get them to play with him and they chase eachother around. He loves to play with toys, tug-o-war is his favorite. He sleeps in his kennel at night like a little angel. Hero is the best boy!   ##1981545##

Story
Meet Poppy! Poppy is a female purebred Aussie - She along with 6 others came from a breeder who recently shut down. They all lived outside their whole lives in Texas in large kennel runs. So being in a home is new to her. She has been kenneled with four other females and is currently living with a female in her foster home. If a potential adopter has a male dog she will need to be introduced to make sure they can get along. She is dog friendly and very shy but still does well with people. She does best with other dogs that give her space and aren’t overly trying to play all the time Due to living outside her whole life, She will need a patient owner to show her life outside of a kennel isn't so scary. She is a very sweet girl that is slowly opening up! She is already adjusting to being inside and she seems to enjoy getting into her crate, it is her own little space. Leash training is going to take quite a bit of work. The foster family is working on this but it is something that will likely need to continue to be worked on after adoption. Comes with 2 free dog training sessions and fully vetted

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Sienna, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Sienna – A Sweet, Loving Pup Ready for Her Forever Family! Sienna is an 8-week-old Australian Shepherd mix, possibly with some Husky in her background. At 7 lbs, she’s expected to grow to around 40 lbs as an adult. Sienna’s journey to find a loving home hasn’t been easy, but she’s ready for her happily ever after. Found as a stray in Texas along with her littermate Sadie, Sienna was living a rough start to life. The sisters were covered in fleas and in desperate need of care. Sadly, due to overcrowding, they were placed on the euthanasia list at the Houston shelter. But thanks to the incredible efforts of rescuers, Sienna is now happy, healthy, and thriving in her foster home. Sienna is a sweet, playful, and affectionate pup who loves people and other dogs. She’s curious, smart, and ready to learn as she grows into a loyal and loving companion. Whether it's playing with her foster brother or cuddling up for a nap, Sienna is sure to steal your heart. Sienna is now on her way to Colorado to find her forever family. She’s looking for a home that will offer love, care, and plenty of playtime. Whether you're an active family or an individual who’s ready to give Sienna the attention she deserves, she’s sure to be the perfect addition to your life. Since Sienna is still a puppy, she’s a blank slate – ready and eager to learn! She’ll thrive in a home where she can receive the time, love, and training necessary to help her become the well-behaved, confident adult dog she's destined to be. With the right guidance, including puppy kindergarten and positive reinforcement training, Sienna will blossom into an amazing companion who will form deep bonds with her family. Every puppy needs a family who can invest in training and socialization as the puppies grows. Sienna will need positive, force-free obedience classes (virtual or in-person) to set her up for success and to ensure she’s a happy, well-behaved pup that can go on adventures and be a joy to have by your side. This kind of commitment pays off tenfold when you have a dog who is not only well-behaved but also an absolute joy to be around. Training is an adoption requirement of ours, and we are not open to adopting to a home who doesn't have desire to train a new puppy. Sienna will be up to date on her vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs. However, she will still need 1 more parvo/distemper vaccines before it is safe for her to walk on public ground. Extensive new research shows that she is far too young to be spayed at this time. Spay is required to be done before she turns 1 year old (7-8 months of age is recommended) and spay is required to finalize any adoption. Farfel's Rescue covers the full cost of her spay if our rescue vet is used. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet dog! An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE**. If you're truly interested in adopting Alfie please be sure to submit the Farfel's Rescue adoption application that can be found at the link above or at farfels.com. Rescue site applications such as Petfinder or Adoptapet don't provide enough information for us to determine a great match for this very deserving dog and therefore aren't useful. We're sorry, but in many circumstances, we're unable to get back to those those that don't submit a Farfel's adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue!

Story
Asta is a 7-month-old Border Collie. She is sweet as a button. Super snuggle bug. LOVES to play with dogs. Great with all people and kids. Has a lot of energy so she must go to someone that can keep up with a busy dog.  Probably a home with another playful dog would be best. Cannot stress an active household enough!!!  Great in the crate but she is with me almost always and LOVES it!   Put in an application at EAPL.com Her adoption fee is $375    November 21, 2024, 4:18 am
