Story
Hallooo world. My name is HONNI (Honey), how do you do? Here is a bit of info about me:Breed: Australian Shepard/Canaan dog mixAge: 2 yrsGender: FemaleWeight: 20 kgHeight: tbdCountry of origin: LebanonHighlights: Loyal, Intelligent, Affectionate, Calm, Independent I am a faithful & chilled out girl, awaiting a family to adore and in which to bring joy. And don't you just love my unique markings?Rescuers heard me screaming and followed the sound. When they got closer, they saw a man hitting me with a wooden stick. I was crying out, desperate for help. My rescuers would not walk away from this ghastly cruel scene. Without hesitation, they came in and took me. People in the area were telling the man to either poison me or put me in a bag and throw me on the highway. Sadly, these are the horrors in my country.I had been through so much and I was terrified, but I somehow knew they were there to save me. Being I wS wearing a collar, showed I once had a home, but likely was abandoned. Life on the street was just as harsh, as my previous family.Despite everything though, I remain a sweet and friendly pup, so they named me Honey. You'll find me quite the intelligent pupper, as well as affectionate. I tend toward the calm and can be independent, so I should be able to entertain myself when you are busy. I hear something called a kong toy stuffed with peanut butter is a good distraction. SMILE. Some confidence building exercises should be included in my training regimen.Hoping we can enjoy some cuddles and adventures together. I await your calling my name. Energy Level: moderate.I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: unknownKids: unknown - rescuer states yes, but no video proof Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: Some.Leash skills: Some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Some, as I am in a shelter environment. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2158697##

Story
Hi. My name is Marco and here is some info about me: Breed: Miniature Austrailian ShepherdAge: 1 YearGender: MaleWeight:40 lbHeight: 15 inch Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, people, needs slow introduction to men Hello there! My name is Marco, and I am a 1-year-old miniature Australian Shepherd. I am a medium (40 lb) Aussie Shephard with a heart full of love and a gentle, sweet nature. Let me tell you a bit about my journey. I was bought as a puppy by a family who wanted a guard dog. Unfortunately, they didn’t realize just how small I would be. When they saw that I wasn’t going to grow into a large protector, they abandoned me in front of a shelter. It broke my heart to see my family leave me behind, but I try to stay positive. I am grateful to have a roofover my head and a safe place to stay, especially since the streets where I come from are dangerous for smaller dogs like me. I’ve been living with my foster for almost 2 mos. She takes me to the park every day where I build my confidence and social skills playing with other dogs. I’m getting used to strangers petting me and their affection makes my days brighter. Because I’m a little bit shy and unsure of myself, I can be nervous around fasting moving bikes or skateboards, sometimes joggers…..but I am improving every day – my mom tells me when to be “nice” and I’m a very good listener. I need her guidance to make sure that Ibehave appropriately, and she tells me when I’m doing a good job. I love it when my foster mom talks to me very softly and strokes my face – I just melt. I am submissive with other dogs. My mom is training me not to have any resource guarding and to sit nicely for my treats. I recentlymoved into my mom’s bed for sleep time. I love to cuddle but then I like to go to my own bed. I am very sensitive to my environment, and I like to live in a peaceful home. I just want to spreadhappiness with doggie kisses and joyful tail wags. I dream of having my very own forever family someday, one that will love and care for me as much as I will for them. I imagine myself with my own bed, squeaky toys, and going on fun walks and hikes. Please consider giving me a chance - I promise to fill your life with love and joy. My heart is big, and I’m ready to share it with my forever family. I can’t wait to meet you! Energy Level: medium - requires daily walks. I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: UnknownKids: unknown. Fears: Unknown/none observed, however requires slow introduction to men. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: yes/ basic, please be patient with me. Most passengers from the Middle East now require a fee to accompany a dog on a flight. Due to this, if a rescuer finds a flight with this requirement, we will contact you to see if you are willing to pay the passenger. You are under no obligation to do this. If not, another flight will need to be searched for, though there is no guarantee a free or lower cost one will be found. Though oft times a passenger is requesting higher amounts, the fee will not exceed $250. Our rescuers work extremely hard finding flights and spend tremendous amounts of money caring for and sending these dogs to safety. They simply haven't the extra money to cover this. Thank you for your understanding. Story
Hi, my name is Bambi! I am a gentle, special needs angel currently living with dogs just like me in the Middle East until I can find my forever family! I am excited to find a home patient, experienced and as in love with me as I will ABSOLUTELY be with them!  Name: BambiBreed: Australian Shepherd / Shepherd MixAge: 3 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 23 kgHeight: 65 cmHighlights: loves other dogs, bonds quickly with humans, playful, kind - currently living in a home with other disabled dogs When my guardian angel found me in the street, I was only 8 months old. I could barely walk and I was barely strong enough to get around. My rescuer was so kind and took me to her home where I have been nurtured ever since. I live with other super playful disabled dogs and I am really happy! The vet thinks I was hit by something on my back when I was a puppy and that is how I became paralyzed from the waist down. I have no feelings down there so my guardian angel human helps me when it comes to peeing and pooping. I am slowly getting better but I will need a family as loving as her that is willing to take me to physiotherapy sessions and help me gain the strength back in my muscles down there! I am super kind and bond quickly with humans. I love being around others but I also do really amazing on my own! No separation anxiety for this girlie. I am independent despite my disabilities! Fun fact about me: I can walk using my two front legs for a really long time without getting tired and I LOVE having a house with a yard. I am a big fan of exploring new places! Energy level: Medium - my disability doesn't slow me down! I love to play Get along with:Dogs: yesCats: UnsureKids: Unsure Fears: Unsure, please be patient with me to work through any that may come upTraining: I am a VERY quick learner and though I have disabilities, I do love to listen. Story
Say hello to Mr. Bailey! Just look at this handsome boy! He is a gentle 5 year old Australian Shepherd mixed with Australian cattle dog blue heeler. He is an abandoned rescue from up North. His current foster home is working with him to get a bigger picture of his story so will update as we go. She does say that he just skittish or uncertain but is very sweet. She also says that he walks really well on leash and is an easy dog to handle. He gets timid and may growl a little when he sees another dog coming but is not aggressive and does not react, just cautious and still uncertain. Bailey is house trained, vaccinated and neutered and is fine with other dogs. He has not been tested with cats as of yet so not certain but we feel that he may be just fine. Someone who has some experience and patience with a dog of his breeds as they are loyal and highly intelligent and need activity to keep them healthy and happy. An adopter who can help him come out of his shell would be the ideal home for him. Please contact us for more information and if you are interested in giving a forever loving home to Bailey!

Story
** Health Status ** - Is scheduled for tooth scaling. - Has some spinal stenosis, thus his gait is slightly unstable. However, his condition does not require surgery. - The surgery to remove the lump has been completed. The liver is inflamed and needs to be managed while the eyes have nuclear sclerosis. - He has a lipoma on his instep that has been bleeding, and is being watched carefully if there is continued bleeding. Meet Haesol❤️ After roaming for an unknown period of time, Haesol entered a local temple in search of food and refuge. Fortunately, the monks took good care of Haesol, but there were cats in the temple that they had tended, so they were unable to continue caring for him. Haesol was rescued thanks to the efforts of an Adogs volunteer who learned about the situation. * Toward People: Shows curiosity about strangers, even if they're new to him! Shows interest but doesn't enjoy being touched. Relaxes with familiar people. * Toward Dogs:He accepts doggy friends who come up to him rather than approaching first. He stays still when they approach rather than playing or reacting. * Separation Anxiety: He doesn't have separation anxiety in the house and usually sleeps even when he is with other dog friends. When he is confined to an unfamiliar place, such as a kennel or hotel room, he barks demandingly after about 10 minutes, but in his comfortable home, he doesn't bark at all. * Potty Training: He's good at peeing on a pad when he's at home, and he's good when he goes outside, but he prefers to do his poops outside. * Hygiene: Is terrified and dislikes bathing, either because he is not used to it or because of his hump on the body. * Walks: He walks well without pulling on the leash. Sometimes he goes where he wants to go, but if you give him a little tug on the leash, he will follow. * Car sickness: He doesn't like to ride in cars and sometimes barks. * He doesn't bark at all, except once in a while when the leash is tightened to show his discomfort. * He doesn't like to have his paws touched, so he barks and runs around, and he gets scared when there's a sudden loud noise, like a bus. * He has a calm and relaxed nature. At home, he is very relaxed and not very interested in toys. He is very curious and enjoys going for walks. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @easystar_imbo
