Story
Hi, Im Coco, a 2.5-year-old Aussie-doodle looking for my forever home. I’m playful, snuggly, and full of love. I’m great with my humans, love toys (especially fetch and tug-of-war!), and have excellent recall off-leash. After a good walk, I’m relaxed and enjoy playing with my toys or snuggling. While I can be a bit nervous around new things and dogs, I just need a confident, experienced leader who can guide me. I’m great with my commands, love my daily walks, and am very polite during meals. I’ve been to training and daycare, but I need reassurance in new situations. I would thrive in a home with no other dogs, as I can be territorial. I also prefer older kids (13+), and I am not good with young children and need to be in a one-dog only home and no cats. I’m spayed, up-to-date on shots, and in excellent health. I need an experienced dog owner who can help me overcome my anxiety and continue my training. I’m loving, loyal, and would make the best companion for the right family!

THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.   Please contact Kyla at kyla48@gmail.com for more information or to adopt. Breed: Merle Australian ShepherdAge: Just over a yearWeight: 46 lbs Hi everyone, I am the courageous Kilo and here's some information about me. Some amazing people rescued me from a ranch in Guadalajara, Mexico, back in January when I was just 5 weeks old. The ranch owner explained that of the 20 or so dogs there, only a few were his. Most had wandered in from the nearby town. My parents were both merle Australian Shepherds, which unfortunately left me with blindness and deafness, making me vulnerable on the ranch. The workers feared I wouldn’t survive, but I was lucky enough to find a foster mom who took me in. Over the next month, I traveled with my foster mom across Mexico, and when I returned to Vancouver at 9 weeks old, I was adopted! Unfortunately, due to unforeseen family circumstances, I was returned to my foster. I was very loved by the family, and rehoming me was an incredibly difficult decision for them, but they wanted to ensure I was in the best possible situation moving forward. I’m back at my foster and she would love to see me in a stable and loving environment.  She says that I'm an incredibly adaptable and resilient dog, but because of my blindness and deafness, I would do best in a home where I can get used to the layout and settle into, and could benefit from a routine. Being a very smart girl, I know all the basic commands like “sit,” “shake,” and “lie down” through touch signals. I have been house-trained and will let my people know when I need to go outside. Walks and car rides are my favourite thing! Leash walking is no problem and I sleep like a baby in the car. As a real Miss Congeniality, I get along with people, cats, and dogs of all sizes. Having another dog around, ideally one who could serve as a guide or companion to help me navigate the world, will be amazing. Despite my seeing and hearing limitations, I am an energetic girl who loves to play, so an active home is important, however I do enjoy cuddling and lounging around. I'm happiest when I get regular exercise and affection.  My foster mom says I am a lot of work, but also a lot of love. Due to my age, I am not yet spayed (the vet recommended waiting until my second heat). My foster mom says that I truly deserve the best, being a sweet, affectionate, and resilient girl who will bring joy to the right home! My adoption fee is $100. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.   Please contact Kyla at kyla48@gmail.com for more information or to adopt. ##2260275##

Story
✅️Currently located in South Korea✅️ Meet Jane❤️ Jane was brought to and staying at the Gimje City Shelter with her siblings Marvel, Captain, and Wanda. Later, the parvo virus was circulating at Korean City Shelter, and she was in a hurry to be rescued due to the concerns about her health. * Toward People: It takes time to make friends with people who she has never met before. Is a little cutie for those who are close to her! Has unexpected charms and becomes more cheerful in a familiar environment. * Toward Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs, maybe because she has been with her siblings. * Separation Anxiety: Is still a little puppy, so she's a good self-resting, and shows little separation anxiety. A new environment may require some training though. * Potty Training: Is smart enough to use the potty pads. A new environment may require some training. *Hygiene: Accepts baths and toenails trimming patiently. Does not like teeth brushing, but tries to be patient. * Walk: Has not had a walk experience because she is getting the vaccination. * Car Sickness: Moved quietly without getting carsick even during a long distance ride. * Is so smart that she has already learned "Sit" and "Hand" ** Health Status: Got her hair on the ears and tail shaved for the skin treatment, and got through the treatment. Her hair is growing gradually. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @_adogs_jane

Story
Say hello to Mr. Bailey! Just look at this handsome boy! He is a gentle 5 year old Australian Shepherd mixed with Australian cattle dog blue heeler. He is an abandoned rescue from up North. His current foster home is working with him to get a bigger picture of his story so will update as we go. She does say that he just skittish or uncertain but is very sweet. She also says that he walks really well on leash and is an easy dog to handle. He gets timid and may growl a little when he sees another dog coming but is not aggressive and does not react, just cautious and still uncertain. Bailey is house trained, vaccinated and neutered and is fine with other dogs. He has not been tested with cats as of yet so not certain but we feel that he may be just fine. Someone who has some experience and patience with a dog of his breeds as they are loyal and highly intelligent and need activity to keep them healthy and happy. An adopter who can help him come out of his shell would be the ideal home for him. Please contact us for more information and if you are interested in giving a forever loving home to Bailey!

Story
Hi, my name is Bambi! I am a gentle, special needs angel currently living with dogs just like me in the Middle East until I can find my forever family! I am excited to find a home patient, experienced and as in love with me as I will ABSOLUTELY be with them!  Name: BambiBreed: Australian Shepherd / Shepherd MixAge: 3 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 23 kgHeight: 65 cmHighlights: loves other dogs, bonds quickly with humans, playful, kind - currently living in a home with other disabled dogs When my guardian angel found me in the street, I was only 8 months old. I could barely walk and I was barely strong enough to get around. My rescuer was so kind and took me to her home where I have been nurtured ever since. I live with other super playful disabled dogs and I am really happy! The vet thinks I was hit by something on my back when I was a puppy and that is how I became paralyzed from the waist down. I have no feelings down there so my guardian angel human helps me when it comes to peeing and pooping. I am slowly getting better but I will need a family as loving as her that is willing to take me to physiotherapy sessions and help me gain the strength back in my muscles down there! I am super kind and bond quickly with humans. I love being around others but I also do really amazing on my own! No separation anxiety for this girlie. I am independent despite my disabilities! Fun fact about me: I can walk using my two front legs for a really long time without getting tired and I LOVE having a house with a yard. I am a big fan of exploring new places! Energy level: Medium - my disability doesn't slow me down! I love to play Get along with:Dogs: yesCats: UnsureKids: Unsure Fears: Unsure, please be patient with me to work through any that may come upTraining: I am a VERY quick learner and though I have disabilities, I do love to listen. Please be prepared to continue training with me.Leash skills: Please be patient and prepared to continue training with me as my walking looks a little different.House trained: Please be prepared to support me with this as I work with physiotherapy to gain some independence back Health notes: As mentioned above, I am paralyzed from waist down! Besides this, I am a happy, healthy girl :)! I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $650.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation from the Mid East, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Most passengers from the Middle East now require a fee to accompany a dog on a flight. Due to this, if a rescuer finds a flight with this requirement, we will contact you to see if you are willing to pay the passenger. You are under no obligation to do this. If not, another flight will need to be searched for, though there is no guarantee a free or lower cost one will be found. Though oft times a passenger is requesting higher amounts, the fee will not exceed $250. Our rescuers work extremely hard finding flights and spend tremendous amounts of money caring for and sending these dogs to safety. They simply haven't the extra money to cover this. Thank you for your understanding. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs originally from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2124517##
