Story
Meet Epsy – Your New Best Friend Epsy is the definition of love wrapped in fur. Rescued from the reservation along with her puppies (who are now thriving with another rescue), Epsy is ready for her own fresh start and forever home. This sweet, affectionate girl is as gentle as they come. She lives for belly rubs, soft cuddles, and simply being near her people. Epsy has a condition with her nails that precludes her from walking long distances though she does enjoy her daily walks around the neighborhood. With her low energy and easygoing nature, Epsy is the perfect companion for relaxed days – whether you're watching movies on the couch or enjoying some sunshine in the yard. Epsy isn’t just lovable – she’s the most lovable. Her calm spirit and kind heart make her a wonderful match for a laid-back home where she can soak up affection and return it tenfold. If you're looking for a loyal, soft-souled pup to be your cozy sidekick, Epsy’s your girl. Come meet her and fall in love. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/ When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. You could be a life saver! Help us save more lives by fostering a dog or cat. Story
Meet Yonka! 🐾Yonka is an approximately 5–6-year-old spayed female Red-Tri Australian Shepherd with a heart as beautiful as her markings—and yes, she’s got that classic Aussie wiggle butt when she’s happy! 💃🐶 She is super sweet, affectionate, and loves being around her people.Yonka has been reported to get along well with other dogs, but to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety, a meet and greet with any resident dogs is required prior to adoption.⚠️ Important placement requirements:A home with NO cats is required. Yonka does not do well with cats.Children must be 12 years and older. Younger children tend to overwhelm Yonka, and she will thrive best in a calmer, more predictable environment.Yonka is looking for a loving, understanding home where she can feel safe, relaxed, and cherished. If you’re seeking a loyal companion and can provide a cat-free home with older children, Yonka may be the perfect match for you! 💕

Story
I’m Little Bub or Merlin, as I have also been called, and I have the softest long fur in gray, black and white tones and my unique appearance turns heads wherever I go! I’m a very handsome cattle dog mix with big, curious eyes and a gentle spirit and I’m almost a year old. I am patient, calm, happy, eager to please, easy to leash and take on walks and I know ‘sit’. I will take treats softly from your hand and I love the companionship of people. While in foster care I did very well with another dog and I’m nearly potty trained. If you have a pleasant, social dog already in your home please bring him to the shelter to meet me too. Having a canine companion might be loads of fun and playing with older children would be a bonus. I think I’d enjoy doing just about anything with you like taking car rides, exploring the park, feeling grass under my paws, or even listening to music. I am sure to blossom into a faithful doggie companion with time, love, patience and praise. As a pup I am still learning about the world and take comfort in quiet voices, soft cuddles and patient hearts. I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines and ready, able and willing to start the new year with a new family of my own!If you are looking for a unique and gorgeous creature to bring fun and love into your life I am the guy for you. Please contact the loving folks at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays and come check me out.

Story
Meet Kasper — the best of both worlds! Kasper is a 25-lb Border Collie mix who beautifully balances adventure and chill. While his breed might suggest high energy, Kasper is actually a pretty relaxed, easygoing guy. He’s extremely observant and loves to quietly watch everything going on around him, taking it all in with those thoughtful eyes. He has the cutest way of taking treats—gently showing his teeth as he carefully accepts one from your hand—and his manners don’t stop there. Kasper walks very nicely on a leash, knows sit, and is perfectly content to calmly sit and watch the world go by. At just the right size, Kasper would be an excellent companion for hikes and adventures, but he’s equally happy hanging out on a Saturday afternoon, relaxing and watching the game with you. If you’re looking for a smart, mellow dog who can do it all, Kasper might be your perfect match. Story
Meet Jade, a gentle soul with a heart ready to bloom. Found abandoned on the reservation and being bullied by other dogs, Jade came to us scared and unsure of people. With time, patience, and kindness, she has begun to shine. She now trusts our UAF volunteers, and every day we see more of the sweet, playful pup she truly is. Jade is naturally timid with humans, but she thrives when she has a confident dog to follow. A canine companion who can show her the ropes would be a wonderful match. Once she feels safe, her playful side takes over—she loves to wrestle with other dogs, and a good game of chase (or being chased!) is her absolute favorite. With the right adopter—someone patient, gentle, and committed to reminding her she will never be abandoned again—Jade’s transformation will be beautiful. When she’s comfortable, her personality sparkles: she’ll invite you into a game of catch-me-if-you-can before flopping down for affection. If you’re looking for a tender, dog-loving companion who just needs a little time to trust, Jade may be the perfect addition to your family. *********************** Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue.
