Story
Echo is a sweet border collie mix who is about 1 year old. We adopted her from our local humane society and were unaware she was deaf until after we brought her home. We have done private training and she knows many hand signals. She is house broken and crate trained. She is progressing with walking on a leash, but is reactive to movement, as many herding dogs are. She struggles with resource guarding around food, which has been quite difficult with our young children, and is the reason we have made the difficult decision to re-home. Echo is a smart and very quick learner. She loves to play with her flirt pole and go for hikes. She would make an excellent companion in a home that is child-free and experienced. We will send her crate, harness, and beloved toys with her.

Ember is ready to spark LOVE into your heart & home! She is an amazing 1 year old, 55lbs, border collie mix who came to the shelter with her brother, Flame. Ember is high energy & highly excitable. She is GREAT with other dogs and would really thrive in a home with another energetic dog. Ember is the kind of dog that needs daily enrichment & mental work, or even a job, to remain content. Without this, she will get bored! She is working on her leash skills & potty training, but with your help, she'll get there in no time! Come meet her at High Country Humane, located at 11665 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Our shelter is open Thursday–Tuesday, 11 am–5 pm, and closed on Wednesdays.
