Story
Kylie needs a new home because she is not getting along with the other dog in her home. Her family is very sad to have to rehome her. Here is what they say about this beautiful dog: 'Kylie is an absolutely wonderful dog! She is very loving and attached to all her people. She is not always a fan of service people that come to the house, but any others, if we like them, she likes them. She loves to play ball and will catch it in the air and bring it to you. Kylie is good on walks but sometimes pulls when she heads home. I just stop and make her wait. She loves squeaky toys and Kongs. She is very treat motivated and takes treats extremely well, with just her lips, and will wait for anything if you tell her to 'wait'. She likes to cuddle next to us on the sofa, too. We feed her in her crate and she will go straight to it if you tell her to. She has passed all the obedience training at Petco and passed their Canine Good Citizen Test.' Thank you for your interest in Kylie! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=18246 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Kylie, or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Edward is a full on, breathtakingly beautiful dog. A real show stopper! His gorgeous coat just shimmers in the sun. Not just a beauty king, he makes it even better with his extra sweet temperament. He has been bred to be a friendly, good dog. Perfect for a very best friend and family dog. When he has met other dogs, he has wanted to play and has been very good with all he has met. He is quite young, at only 7 months old, so he is the perfect age for you to teach him everything you want him to know. You can see from his expression in his picture that his eyes shine with intelligence, so the learning should be fun for both of you. He should have many, many years to love you with all his heart. He has been completely vet checked and declared 'perfect' in addition to having all his shots. Ready to play with your new family member? Story
Age: 2 years Size: 58 pounds Estimated breed: Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix Spotty needs a home with: resident dog(s), fenced in yard, no young children   Update 7/7:  Spotty is super dog social guy who needs to be with other dogs. He absolutely adores every dog he meets. Spotty is still a little reserved around people but has been making huge strides and seems to improve every day! He has gone through professional training to work on self- confidence and is able to go on walks now and trust more than he used to. Spotty is super submissive and needs a home with a very social dog that will hang out and play with him all day. He loves to play with dogs more than anything. Spotty is also house trained and crate trained. He requires a fenced yard as he can get spooked and we don’t want to take chances of him trying to flee. Spotty has endless potential if you give him the time and patience he needs and deserves to come out of his shell! -------- Spotty is estimated to be about 1.5 years old and 45 pounds. He was found as a stray in SC and was completely petrified at the shelter. He sat in a corner shaking and had to be carried just to move out of his kennel. He came to us very nervous and shy but with the help of his canine friends, he is slowly learning to trust and thriving in his foster home. He has also met and done training with our trainer where he is now comfortable going for walks on a leash and exploring the outdoors!   Spotty gains comfort from other dogs, so he requires a home with a friendly resident dog to help show him the ropes. Spotty would do best in a home without young children as he is still gets timid around new people and retreats. With time and patience, he will show his new family how goofy and happy he really is. All he needs is someone who is understands that just needs a little time to know he is safe. His best quality..... he is AMAZING with other dogs and wants to be their best friend. If you have a dog that has been wanting a sibling, Spotty is your guy!   To adopt Spotty, please apply on our website! www.keytolionsheart.org/adopt   Please note we cannot guarantee the breed or adult size of any of our dogs. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training. November 4, 2024, 12:43 pm
