I'm young and full of life, always ready to play and explore. I'm smart too and I like to learn. I love making friends, especially with other dogs. I've been told I have a friendly aura that makes everyone around me feel comfortable and happy. I think I would make the perfect addition to any family. I'm just a sweet, smart, loyal, and friendly dog looking for a forever home where I can share all the love I have to give. Why should you adopt me? Well, because every home is brighter with a loving friend like me in it!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Donations help us offset boarding costs and additional medical treatment for those dogs who need it.  K-9 Lifesavers receives NO federal funding and survive with your generous support! Introducing the charming River! At just 7 months old and weighing around 35 pounds, she brings joy wherever she goes. Currently thriving in a loving foster home with cats, dogs, kids, and even farm animals, River is beautifully socialized. While she might playfully chase the cats, her gentle nature ensures they are safe. River is already spayed, walks gracefully on a leash, and boasts impressive recall abilities. Although she starts off a bit shy, she quickly opens up to those she adores, revealing her intelligence and eagerness to please. Rescued from the streets of San Antonio, River will be joining us on 1/11/25. Please remember, we cannot guarantee her precise breed or age; our information is based on the best estimates available. Come meet River and see if she could be your new best friend! Apply today: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AWSH/Dog

Story
This 5&#194&#1506-month-old litter of Australian Kelpie and German Shepherd mixes are so sweet and cuddly! Christine is the only girl. The boys are Danny, Mick, John and Peter. They had a very rough start to life, emaciated and very sickly. Luckily, they were rescued and nursed back to good health. They weigh between 9 and 13 pounds now and are expected to mature to around 40-45 pounds. Each pup wears a medium black and tan coat, but Mick stands out with his white collar and chest! These puppies do well with other dogs and people. They enjoy playing with toys and running around in the soft grass! Adopt one of these good girls or boys today! (ME, 11/17/24)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.November 25, 2024, 3:32 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Heloise is young, friendly, extra sweet tempered, and full of life and love. She would be best in a family that likes the outdoors and activity. Hiking, camping, fun walks, jogging partner, all these will make her day! She has shown herself to be quite dog friendly, too, wanting to play and hang out with other canines. A smart, very good girl who is waiting for you to let her know what you want her to know. She truly wants to please all the time and at only 7 months old, is eager and ready to learn for a lifetime of trust and companionship. A happy dog, she will bring smiles to your face every day. She has had a total vet check up and all her shots. She is the complete package for a best friend and family dog! If you are interested in Heloise, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 15, 2024, 11:32 pm
