Story
Hi, we have had Ruby for almost 5 months. We got her from a family friend who was in desperate need of getting rid of her as his dog was trying to harm her. We took her in, in consideration we could get her trained as an emotional service animal for our 4 year old special needs child. Ruby is very possessive (which is good and bad), as she nips our children, while thinking she’s protecting me. My children have no interest in her and she may be jealous of them, but she’s a very timid dog. We’re not sure how she was treated in her previous home, but we are very scared she might hurt our kids, thinking they’re going to hurt me. She is very scared of everything and will not use the bathroom outside if there’s a distraction, as she’ll bark. So much so, if any distraction, such as kids or other animals, get close to her, she will bark so much, her bark will crack and she’ll urinate. I’m unsure of what to do, and the vet recommended a distraction bag, and it still hasn’t been a success.

Story
This heeler gal is looking for a new home. If you play fetch with her she will become your best friend. Fetch is her favorite thing ever! Maggie has great skills in: -Manners! She knows how to sit, stay, place, and kennel with the best of them! She went to our PACK Program and learned all kinds of fun things. -Snuggling! She enjoys a good snuggle with her people after a game of fetch. -Playtime! Maggie likes to play with her humans the most. If toys are put up and the dog is submissive, she may get along with them. If your home has kids older than 10 (little ones freak her out a bit), and are looking for a dog to play fetch with, she may be a good fit for you. She doesn't love kitty cats, so it's best she isn't in a home with them. When it comes to the other dogs, we will do a dog meeting to make sure it's a match. She would also thrive being the only queen in the house. Apply to meet this beauty today!

Story
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Bozler! He is currently enrolled in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is almost ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'down', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Bozler is a lover, once he gets to know you. He's a dog that takes some warming up, and it seems to be on his own timeline. Sometimes he loves attention and affection, and other times he can be a bit aloof and independent. We do think that once he knows who is family is, he'll bond well with them. He is unsure of himself with other dogs. He can be around them, he's just still learning how to play. He does better with female dogs, and tends to get grouchy towards other male dogs. He has come a long way with his training, and in the past four weeks his stubborn streak has lessened. He wants to learn new tricks and please his people more. We do think this is just from his confidence getting better each and every day. One thing Bozler cannot go home with are cats! He does not like them at all! He can also be a bit sensitive to handling and proceeds with caution from time to time. Due to this, we reccommend no kids under 10 in his new home. He is potty trained and kennel trained. His handler says he doesn't get into any trouble when he is left out of his kennel either. He gets a 10/10 rating in this category! Bozler really just needs someone to understand his emotions. Sometimes he wants to be a cuddle bug, and sometimes he wants to be left alone. He will graduate towards the beginning of November, and is looking for that perfect new home. Apply today.

Story
If you’re into running, biking, hiking (anything outdoors), cuddling, and laughing, then Kyah is your girl!    Kyah is a 10-year-old blue heeler/Catahoula mix. Kyah is shy and unsure when you first meet her, but once she warms up to you, she is a ball of love. Kyah has never lost her puppy spirit, as she loves to play with all her favorite toys (her Sasquatch stuffed animal is her favorite).  Kyah was abused as a puppy, so she has her quirks. She needs someone who will be patient with her as they learn her personality. She would be best in an active home with one person or an active couple. A home with no kids would be the best option.   Kyah has been very compatible with cats in past experiences. December 2, 2024, 5:53 pm

Hey there, I'm Odie! I'm a ball of energy in the form of a dog. I love to run, play, and explore, so I'm hoping to find a home with a big yard where I can get lots of exercise. I've got some doggie friends, but I think I might prefer to be the only four-legged pal in the house. I'm great with kids and would make a fantastic addition to a loving family. Let's go on long walks and have fun together!November 5, 2024, 1:55 pm

Story
Looking for a loyal sidekick who’s equal parts sweet, smart, and adventurous? Meet Kylo, a lovable pup with a heart of gold! While he can be a little shy when first meeting new people, patience (and maybe a few treats) are the keys to his heart. Once he warms up, you'll see his playful, energetic side shine through. He is crate trained, house trained, and ready to be your adventure partner. Whether it's a scenic hike, a stroll through the neighborhood, or a backyard game of fetch, he’s all in. His treat motivation makes training a breeze, and he’s eager to learn and please. He’s also a dog-friendly companion, so he’d love to have a canine sibling to show him the ropes. If you’re looking for a pup who’s as sweet as he is smart — and you’re willing to give him the patience and love he deserves — Kylo could be your perfect match. Ready to meet your new best friend?

Story
This is Harvey, a cattledog mix who is looking for that special someone. Harvey is a very shy boy at first, and may take a second to warm up to you. With time and maybe some treats, he becomes a total sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be by your side. He can be very jumpy once he becomes comfortable, so we recommend him going home with older kids. Harvey sis heartworm positive, so he is available for foster to adopt. Think you can let him crash on your couch while he gets his treatments? Stop by to meet him today!
