Story
Meet Frankie!Frankie is a young pup that is approximately 4 - 6 months old, and we are guessing he is a Border Collie mixed with a few other breeds. He came to our shelter as a stray from local animal control, and went unclaimed. Frankie seems to be a bit more outgoing than his sister, Holly, but he can still be a little nervous in new situations. He is still trying to figure out what toys are, but our volunteers are really working on getting that playful side to come out! So far he seems to be enjoying going for walks, spending time playing with his sister, and hanging out with the volunteers during socialization time. Frankie currently weighs around 30 pounds, and he may still grow a bit more as she matures.Frankie's adoption fee is $250, and he is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, received dewormer, and will receive monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention while in our care. His neuter surgery is scheduled for a future date that the shelter will honor, but a potential adopter will need to bring him back for this appointment. Meet Holly!Holly is a young pup that is approximately 4 - 6 months old, and we are guessing she is a Border Collie mixed with a few other breeds. She came to our shelter as a stray from local animal control, and went unclaimed. Right now she is a bit shy at times, but once she warms up she enjoys being around the volunteers. We don't know what her past was but he doesn't seem to know much about toys yet, but our volunteers encourage her everyday to investigate new things. She enjoys going for walks, playing with her brother Frankie, and snuggling in dog bed. Holly currently weighs around 25 - 30 pounds, and she may still grow a bit more as she matures.Holly's adoption fee is $250, and she is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, received dewormer, and will receive monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention while in our care. She is very submissive with other dogs, very social and would do best with furry friends to bond with and a fenced in yard to play in. She's a very good girl and is eager to please. She sleeps very good after playtime and often makes little cute dreaming sounds. She's great with kids and is all around a wonderful girl. Very loving and has cases of FOMO(fear of missing out!) Story
Barney-Australian Cattle Dog mix-male-neutered-1 year. Meet Barney! If you love the smart, athletic and fun herding breeds, you will LOVE Barney. Barney is a happy-go-lucky dog! He loves to play fetch, go for walks and learn! Barney is a smart dog who will learn new things with ease and be a great companion for an active home that loves herding breeds. Barney does have a nub tail due to being hit by a car when he was younger and one adorable trait that came from having a nub tail is his whole butt wiggles when he`s happy to see you! It`s adorable! Please do research on the Australian Cattle Dog. They are not a breed for every family! **Note: Barney had a meet and greet with family with a few younger kids. Barney`s herding instincts did kick in and he wanted to move the children by grabbing at their feet. Common for herding breeds and Cattle dogs are no exception! We want his placement to be successful, so we are suggesting no small kids in his new home** Apply to meet this fun dog at www.cchswi.org DATCP License #266742-DS
