Story
Meet Frankie!Frankie is a young pup that is approximately 4 - 6 months old, and we are guessing he is a Border Collie mixed with a few other breeds. He came to our shelter as a stray from local animal control, and went unclaimed. Frankie seems to be a bit more outgoing than his sister, Holly, but he can still be a little nervous in new situations. He is still trying to figure out what toys are, but our volunteers are really working on getting that playful side to come out! So far he seems to be enjoying going for walks, spending time playing with his sister, and hanging out with the volunteers during socialization time. Frankie currently weighs around 30 pounds, and he may still grow a bit more as she matures.Frankie's adoption fee is $250, and he is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, received dewormer, and will receive monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention while in our care. His neuter surgery is scheduled for a future date that the shelter will honor, but a potential adopter will need to bring him back for this appointment. Meet Holly!Holly is a young pup that is approximately 4 - 6 months old, and we are guessing she is a Border Collie mixed with a few other breeds. She came to our shelter as a stray from local animal control, and went unclaimed. Right now she is a bit shy at times, but once she warms up she enjoys being around the volunteers. We don't know what her past was but he doesn't seem to know much about toys yet, but our volunteers encourage her everyday to investigate new things. She enjoys going for walks, playing with her brother Frankie, and snuggling in dog bed. Holly currently weighs around 25 - 30 pounds, and she may still grow a bit more as she matures.Holly's adoption fee is $250, and she is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, received dewormer, and will receive monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention while in our care. He sleeps well in his crate but will happily nap snuggled up at your side too. Tank wants nothing more than to please his people so while he does love treats, he’s just as happy with a head scratch and “good boy”. He has good recall because he never wants to be too far from his people! He’s great with other dogs. He has his bouts of puppy energy but otherwise is content going on short walks and following his people around the house. He’s a smart pup and caught on to sit, shake, lay down, spin around and wait very quickly. Tank would make a great addition to any home!

Story
Hi everyone, PLEASE SHARE. Meet the “Perfect Gentleman”. “Ozzy” is an Australian Shepherd. D.O.B. 11/12/2019. He is currently available for adoption. He is such a sweet boy. He loves to go on walks, plays fetch, crate trained, house broke, and plays so well with other dogs. He loves all humans!! He’s great with kids and elders as well. He will cuddle with you anytime, anywhere, and would love to be a lap dog if you let him. He doesn’t chase free range chickens, however he will invade a cats personal space. We are working on this. The cats and kittens in our home are kind to dogs, and “Ozzy” cannot keep his eyes off of them. He is crated when we are not home and when we are home, we keep a close eye on him when he is around the cats, and reward him when he ignores them. I can’t honestly say that he would not do okay with a cat in the home, but it will take consitant training to keep them compatible. He is fine with dogs and loves to play with them. His energy levels are appropriate for an Australian Shepherd. He is a smart boy and can most likely be taught anything you want him to learn. He enjoys his walks and he is very playful and gentle. All the hard work is done. He just needs a home to live in that has lots of love to give. UTD with vaccines and is neutered. Fostered in Stevens Point, WI Adoption fee is $350 Apply to adopt at www.lastpawrescue.org "501(c) 3 approved WI Agriculture license number 285589-DS."
