Story
5 year old female, spayed blue heeler (ACD). She is incredibly smart and well-behaved. She is completely potty trained and only touches her toys, not items around the house. She knows a lot of tricks. I am unable to care for her anymore due to my new career and work hours. She does well with other animals and kids. No health issues.

Story
Hello, this is Poppy. She is almost 2 years old. She definitely has a lot of personality and a lot of energy. She loves to go on long walks and play with her toys. She definitely has found a place in my heart and is the biggest goofball I've ever met. I love her to death but a recent incident in my occupation has caused me to rethink having her which I am heartbroken over. I love her to death but I just can can't keep and give her the love and attention that she truly deserves. I am unsure of how she handles well with kids or other pets. But she has such a sweet nature and loves attention. She does need a little bit more training on the leash. And a little more work on house training.

Story
Iris came to us from a rural animal control in Missouri, VERY pregnant and quite skinny. She soon gave birth, and now that her babies are all grown it's time for her to be the center of someone's world! Iris's speckled coat is stunning, and her sweet, snuggly nature is just icing on the cake. Her foster shared, "Iris is going to make anyone a great companion! She enjoys walks and even goes for runs. Iris will also snuggle up with you on the couch and watch your favorite show. Just beware, she snores when she gets really tired! Its the cutest noise 😆" Apply for this amazing girl today! All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-dogs

Story
Meet Tabitha! This adorable little girl has been in Wisconsin now for nearly a year :( We've learned so much about her during this time we just know the perfect home is out there for her! She prefers the company of women, and love to hang out with other dogs. Shes quite the snuggler in bed if you let her sleep with you, or she's totally fine hanging out with other dogs to snooze. She enjoys her time outdoors and does best in a home with a fenced yard. She currently is in a foster home on a farm and enjoys all things farm related! Tabitha will do best in a home with herding breed experience! She might need more than one meeting to warm up to you, but once she does, you are her friend for life! Please help us find the perfect home for Tabitha! She's one of a kind! **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states. Adoption fee is $350 unless otherwise noted above. Puppies under 1 year of age accept application for families with children over 6 years of age for large breeds and over 8 years of age for small breeds. Since they are still puppies, dogs under 1 will require a basic obedience and puppy training class, and spay/neuter at the owners expense. Story
Hi there! I’m Strawberry, a sweet and shy little girl who loves adventures but sometimes gets a little nervous along the way. I’m a medium-sized adult dog with lots of energy, and while I might be a bit anxious at first, once I feel comfortable, I’m all in for exploring the world around me. I love going on walks, playing in the yard, and sniffing around new places—there’s so much to discover! But I’ll admit, I do feel a bit unsure in new situations, so I’ll need someone who can be patient and help me feel safe as we go on our little journeys together.I’m looking for a kind, understanding person who can take it slow with me while we build trust. I might need a little extra time to adjust, but once I do, I’ll be your loyal and enthusiastic companion.I would need to be the only dog, and children might scare me. If you’re someone who enjoys quiet walks and sharing moments of adventure, I’d love to join you. Let’s take things one step at a time, and I promise we’ll have a lot of fun together!Weight: 53lbsMedical: Overall I appear to be a healthy pup, but please take me to my new vet soon so I can stay healthy and happy!Adoption Fee: $375 + taxEligible for Goodpup Scholarship!
