Story
Meet Tabitha! This adorable little girl has been in Wisconsin now for nearly a year :( We've learned so much about her during this time we just know the perfect home is out there for her! She prefers the company of women, and love to hang out with other dogs. Shes quite the snuggler in bed if you let her sleep with you, or she's totally fine hanging out with other dogs to snooze. She enjoys her time outdoors and does best in a home with a fenced yard. She currently is in a foster home on a farm and enjoys all things farm related! Tabitha will do best in a home with herding breed experience! She might need more than one meeting to warm up to you, but once she does, you are her friend for life! Please help us find the perfect home for Tabitha! She's one of a kind! **Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states. Adoption fee is $350 unless otherwise noted above. Puppies under 1 year of age accept application for families with children over 6 years of age for large breeds and over 8 years of age for small breeds. Since they are still puppies, dogs under 1 will require a basic obedience and puppy training class, and spay/neuter at the owners expense. Story
Barney-Australian Cattle Dog mix-male-neutered-1 year. Meet Barney! If you love the smart, athletic and fun herding breeds, you will LOVE Barney. Barney is a happy-go-lucky dog! He loves to play fetch, go for walks and learn! Barney is a smart dog who will learn new things with ease and be a great companion for an active home that loves herding breeds. Barney does have a nub tail due to being hit by a car when he was younger and one adorable trait that came from having a nub tail is his whole butt wiggles when he`s happy to see you! It`s adorable! Please do research on the Australian Cattle Dog. They are not a breed for every family! **Note: Barney had a meet and greet with family with a few younger kids. Barney`s herding instincts did kick in and he wanted to move the children by grabbing at their feet. Common for herding breeds and Cattle dogs are no exception! We want his placement to be successful, so we are suggesting no small kids in his new home** Apply to meet this fun dog at www.cchswi.org DATCP License #266742-DS

Booker is a sweet boy looking for his forever home! Booker is a little hesitant around new people and will need a little extra patience before he comes out of his shell. Story
She is about 9 months old. She is fostered with big dogs (Great Dane) and lots of little dogs, also cat friendly. A bit shy of men at first until she gets to know them. Poppy has been spayed and up to date on vaccines, on prevention and given great Veterinary care. As just a puppy - she is new to being on a leash and pulls from it so her foster is working with her on her. She is mostly house trained and follows the dog pack around. She needs a family to continue to socialize her and help her grow. Appears to be a mix of a Collie or Australian Shepard. Expected to be a medium sized adult dog with medium to long hair requiring regard grooming. Email to Apply! Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org Fostered in Texas. *Adoption Fee includes transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Story
Jinx is an energetic, playful pup who can`t wait to meet his forever family! He is excited to meet new friends, both of the human and doggie variety, and has lived with small children before. Jinx can be a bit cautious upon initial meetings with potential new friends, but as soon as pleasantries are out of the way, his sweet, loveable personality shines! At 9 months young, he may benefit from working on his manners when it comes to jumping and channeling his energy into games and other trainable avenues, but is one smart cookie who is eager to impress! Could Jinx be the pooch for you?Medical History: It can be pretty stressful here at the shelter, so I am on an anti-anxiety medication to help me feel more comfortable while I wait for my new family to come along.Weight: 38.6 lbsAdoption fee: $400 plus tax
