Story
Such wonderful puppies these Aussie mixes are! With a mom like Piglet, how could they be anything else? Their names? Winnie, Lumpy, Eeyore, Robin, Roo, Pooh, Tigger, and Darby. They're 3 months old, presently around 10 pounds and will mature to probably around 40 pounds. These babies are sweet and playful, social and smart. They love toys! They love each other, too! Great litter!!! (posted 1/29/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **December 16, 2025, 4:09 pm

Best way to start your day is with a yummy breakfast, right? Well, we have a litter of Heelers who will start your day with just what you need. Four months old, they're going to mature to around 40 pounds although they weigh about 15 now. Their names are Grits, Pancake, Pop Tart, Waffle, Gravy, and Oatmeal! These babies are kind and loving, dog friendly and water-loving! They have a great time racing around the yard and, when tired, plopping into naps that will last only however long it takes for their energy to return, and then they're up and playing again! This includes gravy who has lost a rear paw probably the result of a birth defect. This doesn't stop him, though! Especially when he wears a bootie as he chases all the others! Breakfast of Champions! Story
Meet Sawyer! 🐾 At 6 years old and 92 pounds of pure love, Sawyer is a gentle giant with an even bigger heart. He’s a total social butterfly with other dogs, but can be a little shy when meeting new people. Once he feels safe, Sawyer turns into the sweetest love bug who would happily try his paw at being a lapdog. He’s just waiting to find his forever family to cuddle and adore.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/doris/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi, I’m Doris — and like my name (which means gift in Greek), I bring something special to those lucky enough to earn my trust. I’m confident, smart, and beautiful, with a sassy streak that comes from knowing exactly what I want. I’m not afraid to share my opinions, but I’m also affectionate, playful, and love a good cuddle once we’ve bonded. My favorite things? Splashing around in my pool on hot days, tossing around stuffed toys, going for walks, dressing up in fun costumes, and curling up in soft blankets. I enjoy companionship, but I also value my independence and appreciate having time and space to do my own thing. I like to feel in control of my space and belongings — especially my food — but I’m making great progress with people I trust. Because I’m still a work-in-progress, I’m looking for an experienced adult-only home with no other pets, and minimal visitors. I need a calm, structured environment and someone patient who will go at my pace when it comes to introductions and building trust. If you’re the kind of person who appreciates a one-of-a-kind companion and is willing to meet me where I’m at, I just might be the gift you didn’t know you needed. HOW AM I WITH DOGS: I prefer to be the only pet in the home. HOW AM I WITH CATS: Not recommended — I’m happiest as your one and only. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: Best suited for an adult-only home. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: Not listed – but I’m smart and independent, and I thrive with consistent structure and clear boundaries. MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I’m fully housebroken and like to keep my space clean. A calm, structured routine helps me feel safe and at home. THINGS I LIKE: My kiddie pool, stuffed toys, cozy blankets, dressing up in costumes, quiet environments, going for walks, and forming bonds with patient people. THINGS I DISLIKE: Strangers, being rushed, sharing my space or food, and chaotic environments. I do best with experienced, respectful handlers. FOHA ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCESS: https://foha.org/pet-adoption/adoption-policies/ ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet. Doris is sponsored by: Laura Dove - I hope you find your forever home soon. Check out all of the dogs available at Friends of Homeless Animals! https://foha.org/pet-adoption/find-a-dog/
