Story
Tag came to us as a stray in October 2024. While this boy would do best in a home with no cats, Tag loves to make new dogs friends! Tag is our sweet boy who has plenty of energy for an active home. Tag is already walking well on leash, mostly housebroken, and learning his basic commands. Tag is cattle dog, neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventative. Come out to the shelter to meet this playful boy!

Story
https://foha.org/pet/doris/ Hi, I'm Doris! In Greek, my name means "gift and I like to think of myself as a gift to those who are lucky enough to be my friend. I am the total package - beautiful, smart, confident, and independent. Some may say I'm a little sassy, but that's just because I have strong opinions and I'm not shy about letting you know how I feel. I take my time choosing my friends, but I am affectionate and playful with those who have earned my trust. My favorite activity is splashing around in my pool when it's hot outside, but I also love going for walks, playing with stuffed toys, and cuddling up in cozy blankets. You don't have to worry about keeping me entertained at every moment, though, as I enjoy having plenty of time and space to do my own thing. An important thing to know about me is that I like to be in charge of my environment and belongings, especially my food, but I am working on getting better at that with people I trust. Because I am still a work-in-progress, however, my ideal home would be with adults only and no other pets. I would also prefer a home without a lot of visitors, since it takes me time to build my relationships. If you are an experienced and patient owner, and are willing to go at my pace with introductions and trust building, I might be just the gift you need in your life. Ask to meet me - we might be the perfect match! Doris is sponsored by: Laura Dove - I hope you find your forever home soon. Story
https://foha.org/pet/jasper2024/ HELLO EVERYONE! I'm Jasper! You might've known me as Jekyll, but I am loving my new name change! I'm now JASPER and I have a new outlook on life. I've learned a lot about myself and I want to move forward and start my journey of finding a home of my own. My journey began as a stray, but luck turned in my favor when I was rescued and brought to FOHA. I have a lot of past to leave behind but even more future to look forward to! No one will truly know what I went through in my past but trust is something that I need to work on with new people. I'm a little head shy when unfamiliar hands come near me, but I do warm up pretty quick! My friends here can rub me all over and I just LOVE it. I just need one of my friends to help introduce me to new people and show me the way! My new name, Jasper, means treasurer or bringer of treasure. I like this because I want to be YOUR treasure! Playful and sweet, I'm ready to be the source of joy and love in your life. I would do best in a home with a friendly but fairly chill female dog, as I love playing chase with other dogs but I'm not into wrestling. I would be happiest in a home without small animals or young children. If you're in search of a loyal companion dedicated to spreading happiness, look no further - I'm your guy. Let's embark on this new journey together, creating wonderful memories along the way. Come meet me, Jasper, and let's forge a loving bond that will last a lifetime. Meet Bonnie - Bonnie is about 1 year old and 50 lbs. Bonnie is the mom to 5 adorable puppies who are now 8 weeks old so it is time for Bonnie to find her forever home. Bonnie is shy and timid and will require another young and confident dog in her forever home to help show her the way. Bonnie is so very sweet and just needs time to adjust to home life. Bonnie loves to cuddle and enjoys lots of pets. Bonnie enjoys racing around the backyard with the resident dogs in her foster home. Bonnie will need a home where someone is around a good portion of the day to help her acclimate. Bonnie will be spayed on Feb. 4th, she is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $375.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Laynee is a pint sized little lady who is looking for her furever family! She can be nervous of new people at first but with some time and patience she warms up and is SO loving. She would do best in a quiet home that doesn't have a lot of visitors as most cattle dogs can be weary of strangers especially unannounced ones their property. She would be most comfortable with older children who respect and understand a dog's boundaries. She enjoys swimming in the river and being loved by her people. She LOVES to ride in the car and would make a great adventurous hiking partner!! Laynee LOVES to chase balls and is full of energy so don't let that white face fool you she is only 4 years old! She is crate trained and house trained but could use a little work walking on leash. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. Interested in adopting?
