Story
Meet Red Sedona — a striking pure Red Heeler whose beauty is only matched by her incredible spirit. At just 2 years old, she has already done the hard work of raising six puppies, showing unwavering devotion and strength along the way. Now that her babies are off to find their own homes, Sedona is ready for something she’s never truly had before—a family all her own. Sedona is the kind of dog who leaves an impression the moment you meet her. According to her foster mom (a self-proclaimed Corgi enthusiast), she’s everything you could hope for in a Heeler—intelligent, loyal, intuitive, and deeply affectionate. She doesn’t just want to be near her people—she wants to be part of everything you do. Whether she’s curled up beside you, resting at your feet, or gently sneaking into your lap, Sedona’s love is constant and genuine. She does wonderfully with children over 6, showing a natural respect for boundaries and an ability to listen when corrected. She’s eager to learn and thrives on guidance, already knowing basic commands like “sit” and picking up new skills quickly—her dog door success in under five days is just one example of how sharp she is. Like many Heelers, Sedona has a gentle herding instinct and may softly mouth at fingers as you move about. It’s her way of communicating, not hurting, and she responds very well to redirection. With consistency and love, she continues to blossom into an incredibly well-mannered companion. She’s a dream on a leash, happy to walk calmly by your side, and just as content to relax quietly for hours while you work or unwind. And when her playful side comes out, expect plenty of affection—she’s earned a reputation as a champion kisser and isn’t shy about sharing it. Sedona may take a little extra time to warm up to men, but once she feels safe, her loyalty runs deep. She’s looking for a home that will appreciate her intelligence, embrace her loving nature, and give her the stability she deserves.   SHE MUST HAVE A FENCED YARD After giving so much of herself so young, Red Sedona is ready to be cherished—not as a mama, but as the beloved companion she was always meant to be.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 10, 2026, 5:08 pm

Story
MAX - 6 years old, kid/cat/dog social, typical cattle dog behavior   Max is a vibrant and active boy surrendered for being too hyper and needing more room for his energy.   This dog needs exercise, playtime and room to move.  This dog needs exercise, playtime and room to move.  This dog needs exercise, playtime and room to move.    Reinforcing the fact that this boy is always on the move, please do some research on cattle dogs bc they, like all other breeds, have specific characteristics which may or may not align with your family's lifestyle.   Max is fun. He is the one bouncing off the walls. He is ready to go at all times.   He was silly in our shelter playgroup yard with the other dogs. He ran and chased and grabbed other dogs in his cattle dog style... always with a smile on his face!   Max is also great with children and cats.   He has some separation anxiety and is known to be destructive in the home if left alone. We recommend crating in these instances. PS He is already crate trained so there you go!   If you have done your research on the breed and feel Max would fit in perfectly with you and your family, come on in to meet him!  He is currently in a back kennel so if you don't see him, please just ask!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 30, 2025, 9:42 am

Penelope is a very sweet and adventurous girly. She loves exploring and sniffing around just as much as she loves cuddles and attention. She loves treats and already knows how to sit! She is very smart and would love an owner who will teach her some new tricks!
