Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!. She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well,  how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own. If you are interested in making Ernie your perfect little sidekick in life, Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 28, 2025, 12:57 pm

My name is Cancun and I am a little 3 month  old red Heeler mix pup that is just as cute and fun as you can imagine from my looks.  I am 12 pounds and was just neutered last week and completed all of my shots and wormings and am fully ready to spread my wings and find my own dog pad in this world.  My foster mom found me and my sister and brother on her front porch steps in a box and she never knew who left us there. She said that word is out that she has a big heart and does rescue work.  Well I am thankful for her and what kind of care she has given us.  I love other dogs, adore cats and I am a great little guy to play with people at all times. I am working on potty training but as you can guess I am not there yet because I am too young.  I need leash training and I do understand about crates and why I have to love being in one.   If you are interested in me please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   I will be a 25-30 pound boy when I grow up.  Just the perfect smallish medium boy that will have lots of positive energy and lots of smarts!  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 16, 2025, 8:33 pm

Alfie is just the sweetest boy who is only 10 months old, weighs 48 pounds and has overcome so much in his young life.  This boy has overcome such a deep shyness with meeting new people and his foster mom has helped him learn confidence and the acceptance of affection from people.   He is a kind and sweet dog that is a medium energy, a kind spirit and good with other creatures in his life.  He is good with cats, dogs and just needs a slow introduction with new people. He loves his walks on the leash in the neighborhood and they have helped him build such a confidence that he never had when he first came to Critter Cavalry Rescue.  He is a Blue Heeler mix and we think he is oh so handsome.  Alfie is going to be a special rescue dog for someone.  Someone with patience and the desire to see a dog blossom every day in to a radiant soul that will make you the center of his universe and love.  If you would like to consider this boy please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 17, 2025, 1:39 pm

Story
***Please do not call, email, or text about this pet until you have filled out the application on our website and read about our program.*** 8Ball has had a bit of a tragic past. His original owner passed away, and 8Ball was found beside his owner a few days later. He was taken in by a neighbor, who already had 2 dogs and multiple human children. After realizing that 8Ball needed more activity than they were able to provide, his rescuer's enlisted our help to find him the right home that could provide the stimulation he needs as a working breed. We have had 8Ball here with us at Woof Gang Rehab since August 26th. So far we are working on his anxious behaviors through balanced training, as well as his obedience. He is already prong and e-collar conditioned, crate trained, and knows sit, down, place, down-stay, heel, loose leash walking, spin, go to kennel, go potty, and no. We are just about ready to start generalizing his training out in public places and will post more updates about his training journey as soon as we can! If you would like to follow his training please follow us on IG: @woofgangrehab and @shadesofbludogtraining Please review and fill out our adoption application for more information about what is included in his supplemental program fee. 8BALL: https://woofgangrehab.org/available_dog/8ball/ APPLICATION: https://woofgangrehab.org/rescue/adoption-application/

Story
BELLA IS CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING WITH HER, PLEASE REACH OUT TO PRAS-FOSTER@NNVA.GOV.Here is a bit from Bella`s foster:`Bella is a very sweet and sometimes shy girl. She is cautious with new people but as long as they approach her calmly she warms up quickly. She is a cattle dog so she wants to control the chaos around her. She will do best in a chill environment with few people and fewer animals (less chaos). She shows some signs that she didnt come from the best of homes as she sometimes cowers when you move too fast around her. She also has separation anxiety and will need you to be patient and work on it with her. She does well with other dogs that are more relaxed and not in her face. She gets riled up when she`s in the yard and she sees other dogs in the distance or in a yard nearby. She likes to cuddle and enjoys all the belly rub and any love she can get. She loves to run and play and be anywhere her person is.`Hi there, I`m Bella! I`m a cuddly, smart, and gentle girl, but don`t let that fool you - I can be quite the goofball! I love a good laugh and a playful romp. Energy? I`ve got it in spades! Yet, I can be a little shy at times. Loyalty is my middle name. I`m a Cattle Dog, so I`ll need an experienced owner who understands my breed. I get along well with my fellow canines (so long as they are appropriate), so if you have other dogs, that`s great- I`d love to meet them! Adopting me means gaining a loyal friend who will always keep you smiling and active. So, what do you say? Are you ready for a life filled with laughter, love, and loyalty? That`s what I offer. Choose me, and let`s start our forever journey together!*No small children- she can get anxious*Any children who live in the home or frequent the home should be monitored to ensure appropriate behavior around this dog. *She IS good with dogs, so long as they are appropriate and not too rowdy. A dog to dog meet will be required. *She will need to meet with any family in the home to ensure it is a good fit. *Cattle Dog experience preferred.

Story
So, I rescued Scout when I was on a training mission in the woods in Northern Va. He had been in the woods for quite some time and was in bad condition so I brought him home and he because the most lovable dog in the world. Unfortunately I know he needs lots of land to run on to keep himself busy instead of being stuck with me where I work all the time. He is super energetic and playful and goofy. He’s the best things that’s happened to me but I know I can’t support the lifestyle he needs.

Story
We are looking to rehome one of our dogs Brodie. He is so sweet but has a lot of anxiety when he is home alone for long periods of time and does not do well with us gone all day for work. We have had him for 2.5 years since he was a puppy. He’s been neutered, completed dog training, is crate trained and house broken. He follows commands like sit, heel, and house (he goes to his crate). He does great on walks and is good with kids. He also has the sweetest underbite and the vet always says he’s the best boy. His ideal home would be someone who works from home or someone retired who is looking for a shadow, because Brodie will follow you everywhere and. We’re really sad to be making this decision but we know he will be much happier in a home without two full time jobs.

Story
Hi, my name is Gimli! I am a 4-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Pit mix. My first nickname was “wigglebutt” because just about everything makes me happy. I absolutely love playing fetch, hide-and-seek, going for walks, obedience training, and cognitive challenges. I know many tricks, including roll-over, spin, find it, and high five. If you give me a task, I’ll stick with it until it’s done! I’m also a big fan of cuddling—especially on chilly days under a warm blanket. I’ll thrive in a home without other pets since I have a history of resource guarding. I’ve been working with CPDT-KA certified dog trainer Amy Willoughby, and my current family is happy to sponsor training with my current trainer to help me settle into my new home

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 16, 2025, 8:33 pm

Meet Alice, our darling brown and white girl that has the most memorable face and sky high ears you have ever seen.   This girl was born around the middle of May and is thought to be combination of lots of breed influences.   For starters we think that Cattle Dog and Aussie might be a mixture that are dominant for her.  She is one smart little girl that adorable her foster family and all the other big dogs (several German Shepherds are her mentors and big sisters) and many foster cats are present as well in the home.  Her boundless happy puppy energy catapults her through the days as she grows in to a true beauty inside and out.  She is so playful and loving and always ready for the next BIG ADVENTURE!  She loves to chase toys and explore the backyard for new things to do and maybe a few squirrels to make friends with.  She absorbs whatever you teach her like a sponge.  Her foster mom is an excellent trainer and knows the importance of teaching manners and commands.  Her friendly nature makes her easy to meet new people and she is does not shy away from new experiences either.  She is a snuggler when she is tired and very loving as she sits beside you to watch a good TV show.  This girl will be an excellent recall pup since she is learning that now and is so eager to please and be with her humans.  If you are interested in this beauty who will grow to be a 45-50 pound girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Let us know where you live: city and state when you are inquiring.
