Meet Tex, a sweet boy of about 9 months. A true cattle dog!! Their foster parents have been very attentive to him and his sister Charlie. It shows in their behavior and personalities. As you can see below, Tex LOVES water!!!! He thinks he is a fish!!! He loves play pools and if there's not a play pool, he will try to get in a 5gal bucket with his front paws. He's very playful and wants to be around people. Loves people! He has done well with our five dogs and a new barn cat. I would not recommend chickens. Sadly he wants to play with them! He would be wonderful in a family setting... We are only asking for transport cost to PA, RI or other states in which we travel to! These are two super sweet kind dogs and will provide your home with unconditional love and joyous laughter. Meet Charlie, a sweet girl of about 9 months. A true cattle dog!! Their foster parents have been very attentive to her and her brother Tex, also listed. It shows in their behavior and personalities. As you can see below, Tex and Charlie really love each other. We wanted to adopt them as a bonded pair but it has proven to be to much. She loves to play pools and interact with people and other animals. Charlie has shown no aggression with the barn cats and they do not seem to bother her at all. She is very playful and wants to be around people. Loves people! She is a more laid back dog than Tex. Charlie has done well with our five dogs and a new barn cat. I would not recommend chickens. Sadly she wants to play with them! She would be wonderful in a family setting... We are only asking for transport cost to PA, RI or other states in which we travel to! Story
Remy is playful, eager to please, food motivated and very intelligent. He absolutely loves other dogs and has made a lot of canine friends on daily walks. He would do great if he had a canine sibling and a fenced yard to play in. Remy is loyal and wonderful to his family. He loves running after a ball or a stick or frisbee and is learning to bring them back to his person. He also loves his toy collection and will go his basket of toys and pick something out when he is bored! We told you he is smart! He needs a slow introduction with strangers because people he does not know appear to make him nervous. He is crate trained and potty trained, and would make an excellent jogging or hiking companion. He knows basic commands like sit, down, shake, and he knows to wait patiently for his food at mealtimes. He is currently in a home with a kitten and the two of them get along great. If you are interested in this beautiful and active dog, please let us know. Thank you for your interest in Remy (formerly Caramel)! ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Poochie is rumored to be the life of the paw-ty especially if it involves water and sand! From tail-waggin' adventures to epic fetch sessions, this pup is all about spreading good vibes. And with his laid-back attitude and groovy personality, Poochie is sure to be the coolest pooch in the neighborhood. Even the coolest dude like Poochie can suffer greatly from living at shelters. Poochie has not been handling the stressful kennel life well and he's in dire need of a foster home or a forever home. Poochie tends to pull on his leash, but he's working hard to become a better walking partner. Poochie is very affectionate and loves attention and would be a sweet companion to anyone looking to have the handsomest, chilliest pup by their side. Story
Nacho and his brother Taco are 50% Australian Cattle dog, 25% Jack Russel and 25% Supermutt! (per Embark DNA test). Notwithstanding their mix, both are moderate energy dogs and very well mannered. Nacho is smart and very alert. He likes TV -no joke. He enjoyed watching the women's soccer finals during the Olympics on his foster dad's lap and barely moved during the game. He knows how to relax!! He would love to go to a home with a fenced yard and another playful dog. He is best buds with one of the foster's other dogs and has met many doggy friends at the adoption events that he loves. Here is what Nacho wanted you to know about himself -well this was before we got the DNA results and did not know he was only 1/2 Aussie!G'day, mate! An Aussie cattle dog here, what they call a 'red heeler' from Down Under, partly my color and part my nature. I am still a youngster and love to play. Crikey! My foster da' says I am smart, alert and eager to learn the tricks of the trade. No worries in the crate and I'm house trained (mostly), do well on a leash, come to the whistle and I chase down and bring in the toys.. Ideally, looking for a person or family with another dog and a fenced in yard so that we have room to run. And, I am fine with the little blokes and sheilas (meaning I really like children too!). Come on down to the adoption day and have a look, stop by and say 'G'day!'.If you would like to say G'day to Nacho please let us know. He would be very pleased to make your acquaintance! Story
Hi, I’m Howdy. I'm a Chocolate Aussie Mix (and full of love). I have hazel eyes, my ears have their own adorable personality and I weigh under 40 pounds; making me a “medium sized” good boy! I was born in Mississippi (but I’ve moved to the DMV for true love). I like: walking & hiking in whatever weather and season you like, zoomies, squirrel patrol and napping in the sun. My foster mom hasn’t seen me around cats, but I am an easy going and silly guy! I'm a curious and playful boy looking for my forever humans to look after and share adventures (and the occasional snack). I’m an outdoor enthusiast who believes every trail is better with a wagging tail. I am smart, eager to please and fun - I’ve got the heart of a loyal life-long companion. Whether it’s playing catch or a snuggle on the couch, I yearn to be a part of your family routine. I get along great with my foster family’s other dogs, but I’m happy being a one and only too.  I’m getting accustom to living in a house, and I’ll never leave you hanging when you need a quiet cuddle. I am perfect for you if you want a fur-ever friend who is full of joy, makes you laugh and is your daily companion.  ♥&#239&#184&#143 ps my foster family is so happy to talk to anyone who wants to know more about me! Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org November 17, 2024, 5:07 pm
