Story
This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well,  how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own. If you are interested in making Ernie your perfect little sidekick in life, Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 19, 2024, 12:02 pm

Story
PICKETT Pickett was born in 2015. He is about 45 pounds, mostly black. He is a mystery mix. LOVES EVERYONE! He gets along with all people - he's a hugger and kisser Loves other dogs - moderately playful. He does try to hump the first time meeting, but is easily corrected. Loves cats. Great on the leash. And in the car. He's not young, but has tons of puppy like energy. LOVES toys and bones. Good house manners. HOWEVER, when unsupervised he should be crated or he may chew inappropriately. He was with a rescue for the last seven years and was never chosen somehow - despite his super friendly adorable personality. That rescue closed, he went to a local shelter, and knowing him personally, I had to bring him here HE DESERVES A WONDERFUL HOME. He's a hoot! Story
Are you one of those crazy people that love herding dog antics? Do you find it helpful when a dog nudges, nips and assists you along your way? Do you ever look at a gaggle of geese and think `someone needs to instill a little order in that lot of slackers`? Then you need Russ. Russ`s owner went off to serve his country. Russ was left with Mom and Dad. The plan was for Russ and his owner to reunite eventually. Unfortunately, Russ`s owner will not be able to take his little buddy back after all. Mom and Dad would have kept on keeping him, but Russ developed the unpleasant habit of guarding Mom from Dad when they were all at the house together. Alone with Dad, Russ was fine.Come meet him and see if he can explain himself. I`ve asked him but he`s not talking. Maybe he`ll spill the beans to one of you crazy heeler folk.

Story
Meet Myrtle! This sweet girl was found as a stray, so we do not know her background. What we do know is how friendly she has been with staff since coming in. She loves meeting new friends and quick to make them, she has a wiggly butt because she gets so excited to meet new people. She cannot live with small animals or cats, which is mandatory; staff can explain why if you are curious on details. We do not know her history with dogs or small children.

Story
Meet Stella This beautiful Terrier mix is just such a sweetheart, with selective hearing lol. She gets distracted pretty easy, but she is treat motivated so it helped me get these pictures. Stella is 6 years old, and she was surrendered due to no fault of her own. Her owner said she is great with kids, good with other dogs, not good with cats (she likes to chase them), crate trained and is house trained. She said that Stella loves her butt scratches and likes to play chase with balls. These pictures do not do this sweet girl any justice. Come meet her in person and get to know her. You can call 804-520-9397 extension 5 if you have any questions or our interested in adopting.
