Story
***Please do not call, email, or text about this pet until you have filled out the application on our website and read about our program.*** 8Ball has had a bit of a tragic past. His original owner passed away, and 8Ball was found beside his owner a few days later. He was taken in by a neighbor, who already had 2 dogs and multiple human children. After realizing that 8Ball needed more activity than they were able to provide, his rescuer's enlisted our help to find him the right home that could provide the stimulation he needs as a working breed. We have had 8Ball here with us at Woof Gang Rehab since August 26th. So far we are working on his anxious behaviors through balanced training, as well as his obedience. He is already prong and e-collar conditioned, crate trained, and knows sit, down, place, down-stay, heel, loose leash walking, spin, go to kennel, go potty, and no. We are just about ready to start generalizing his training out in public places and will post more updates about his training journey as soon as we can! If you would like to follow his training please follow us on IG: @woofgangrehab and @shadesofbludogtraining Please review and fill out our adoption application for more information about what is included in his supplemental program fee. 8BALL: https://woofgangrehab.org/available_dog/8ball/ APPLICATION: https://woofgangrehab.org/rescue/adoption-application/

Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!. She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Story
My name is Pauley and I would love to be your BFF kind of family member.   I am 4 months old and they tell me that I am a ONE OF A KIND sort of puppy.  My colors and my dazzling blue eyes and ears that are going to be unpredictable (will they go up or stay down)  is what makes everyone stop and turn around to take a look at me.  I honestly love everyone and every creature that I meet.  God just made me to be a happy boy inside and out.  I really like dogs, cats and I adore children.  I never meet a stranger that I didn't like.  They say that I am a forgiving pup and I have had some hard times and things done to me that most dogs would never forgive.  But all that is in the past.  I just feel that I must be kind and show people what the true love of a dog can feel like. They say it is hard to know exactly what kind of breeds are in my background but I know that they tell me I am different and very special.  I am almost 20 pounds and probably headed to being a 45 pound adult when I am fully grown. I am learning about crates, housebreaking schedules to follow and I have mastered walking on a leash.  I am ready NOW for a home and so here I am !!!!   If you want to make me a part of your life please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  I promise to be loyal through and through to YOU!        PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  October 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
Say hello to our very sweet Red Heeler mix boy that we call Bert! This handsome boy is only 6 months old and weighs 27 pounds and was born in a barn in rural Middle Tennessee to a Heeler momma who was barely hanging to life.  She was nursed back to health and has found a home already. Without knowing who dad is, we might just say that he is a “Heinz 57” Heeler mix boy that is destined to be a 35 pound dog when fully grown.  What you realize about Bery when you meet him is that he is a little shy and follows like a shadow.  He is needing some very specific one on one attention and confidence building.  He would thrive in a home with lots of loving people and even other pets are welcomed like cats or dogs.  He is very accustomed to lots of busy hustle and bustle in the foster home and this is a good thing.  He just wants to be by your side and follow you around.  We will say up front that he does not have a lot of leash practice.  His busy foster mom has been moving in to a new house and she fosters cats and other dogs and stays a little tied up with running her own business from home AND being a busy foster to multiple abandoned cats and dogs.  Bert is a healthy boy and is neutered and had all his shots finished and microchipped and dewormings done. Bert loves to play and frolic with his brother Ernie who looks more like a Red Heeler even than Bert.  If you know about the Heeler breed, you will read that they are devoted and  extremely smart.  One of the smartest breeds of dogs on the planet.  In his foster home Bert is more outgoing than when in new outside the home situations.  That will change with some practice in taking him places.   We predict that Bert will be one of those never to be forgotten  family pets that will stand out in a family’s mind as one of the best dogs they ever owned.   BERT IS HOUSEBROKEN AND CRATE TRAINED….and rides like a champ in the car.   We love his brindle red coloring and his very unique and funky ears that may change shape still as he grows.  Please write to us and tell us where you live when asking about Bert.   Critter Cavalry Rescue would like to have you email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask for the application. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well,  how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own. If you are interested in making Ernie your perfect little sidekick in life, Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
Have you ever seen such a beautiful little girl with a more infectious happy smile? This is our beautiful blue heeler mixed girl called Ariel. She is as pretty as her name and looking for an immediate home. This girl has spent 2 months at a small town Tennessee shelter with her two brothers. It's not a place for puppies and Critter Cavalry is springing them (all three) from the shelter on Monday October 14th. They need a foster home for each one or a forever home. This girl is happy and has the most delightful white stocking legs sprinkled with the most adorable freckles. She is a soft wavy fur that is semi-long and certainly may speak that there is an Australian Shepherd mixed in with the Heeler breeding. Ariel and her brothers were brought in as strays to the small town shelter and she is 5 months old and weighs about 26 lb. She is destined to be a 40 to 45 lb adult girl. She will be a beauty and she will be a love.  Her breed is Uber to learn an easy to teach. She will be your shadow, your best friend, and your comforter when you need a little extra love. She does not have leash training skills yet but those will come easily for her. We are looking for a home, or even just a temporary foster so that she can learn what it's like to be an inside girl with the privileges of a loving family or person to show her how good humans can be. She will be ready now. She will be spayed on Wednesday October 16th and fully vetted and vaccinated and microchipped. We would love to see her wagging her tail and giving this beautiful smile to a forever family very soon. If you would like to consider this precious girl called Ariel, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. She is currently in Tennessee and can transport northward   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
My name is Axel and I am a Blue Heeler mix male that weighs about 28 to 30 lb and I am looking for a fun and active family. Critter Cavalry Rescue has promised me a great life and future that will give me all the love and comforts that a dog deserves. Me and my siblings have been in a Tennessee small town shelter for almost 2 months. We've done pretty good because we're getting decent care but a shelter is not a place for puppies to grow up. I am the kind of boy that will be happy and loving and go on all the great adventures or hikes that you want to go on. I just need someone to give me the opportunity to show what a terrific type of dog I can be. I am good with other dogs and I'll be fine with cats too because I think they're pretty cool. I will need some help on getting into a good house breaking schedule and potty break timeouts.   I am a dog that is very adaptable and above all very lovable. I would be great with kids, a young adult couple, a single person, or an empty nest couple.   I could be a second or third dog or I could be the only dog. A secretly fenced yard would really be fun, so that I could just hang out for hours on my own.  If you read up about the Heeler breed, you will learn that they are very smart and very devoted to their families. We aren't on the go all the time and have chill buttons that certainly can be punched. I would love to hang out and watch some TV with you or stay at your feet while you're reading or working on the computer. I just need exercise everyday to some degree. I'm not a shy dog and I'm not a anxious dog, but I am a good dog to consider as you're forever best friend. If you were interested in making me a part of your future life with a dog, I'll be a good one, I promise. Story
Hi there, I'm Toby in Norfolk! As an 8-month-old puppy, I am full of energy and curiosity. I love exploring new places, sniffing new smells, and playing outside. I'm extremely food motivated, quite smart and a quick learner! I love playing fetch, chase, and keep away. I go on walks daily, sometimes when my foster parents are on bikes (and I can jog). I need exercise every day, because with activity, I'm much more well-mannered. I'm very affectionate once I get comfortable with you. My foster family is working on my stranger-danger and improving my social skills since I had little human interaction or training as a younger pup. I'm neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. I can be a bit nervous and shy at first, I'll probably even bark at you, but once I get to know you I'm as loving and loyal as they come. I'm very obedient and always eager to please. I learned how to use the doggie door in one day, but I occasionally still have excited-pee moments. I get a bath, my nails trimmed, and my teeth brushed with no complaints! I know several commands like sit, wait and down and I usually sleep through the night in my own dog bed without any fuss. I have a big case of FOMO, so I'm good in a crate for about 3 hours with a chew bone or lick mat, but I still may cry and bark when left. I love to go bye-bye and I'm great in the car. My foster family takes me on lots of field trips, and I go to work with my foster dad sometimes too. I have two foster fur sisters that I continue to learn from daily. I'd do best in a home with another doggie sibling to help build my confidence and continue to learn how to dog. I'll need an active parent or family as I have a lot of energy, but I really do settle down after exercise. I'm working on down and because I still jump up on my favorite people, older kids would probably be best for me. I'm looking for an active and patient home that will nurture my playful puppy spirit and provide lots of fun and love. I promise I'm worth it! Adopt me and let's make some wonderful memories together! (Toby will need more than one meet and greet due to his shyness) If Toby sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
