Story
Meet Clark! Clark is an adorable and sweet Blue Heeler that is approximately 3 years old. He has typical dense heeler fur that he loves to have you scratch. He loves attention, does well with other dogs but would prefer to be an only dog. He has been exposed to cats and will leave them alone. He is not recommended for homes with small children because he can be protective of his food, treats, and people. He is overall just a sweet, cuddly, friendly, and fun little guy once he warms up to his person / people. It will take time for him to adjust in his new home so his new people need to be patient and loving. He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area. If you are interested please submit an application at forrescue.net

Story
Shelby is a 4 year old Red Heeler. He previous owner passed away and their family was unable to care for Shelby, as she has a lot of energy and loves attention. Shelby was scheduled to be euthanized, but I could not let that happen. I took Shelby in to help find her a great home. She is the sweetest dog and lives for attention. Unfortunately I cannot keep her as I already have five other dogs, work full time, and I’m in the process of getting my masters. Shelby would do best in a home where her person would have more time to spend with her, take her out for walks and rides, and play fetch. Due to her owners pervious health, Shelby was never exposed to strangers, other dogs, etc. She has come such a long way since the first time I met her, so I wouldn’t rule anything out! Please reach out if you are interested in hearing more about Shelby’s story 🐶♥️

He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2059610##

Story
Meet Junebug. This girl had a rough start at life. She was found as a stray at about 6 months old and brought to a high kill shelter. She was at the shelter for 4 months before finding herself on the euthanasia list. Luckily for her a foster stepped up to pull her from the shelter and saved her life. Since she wasn't socialized as a young puppy, Junebug can be a little timid when first meeting new people. However after she meets you the second time she becomes your best friend. Junebug has been around cats, and she does great with them! She tries to play with them sometimes but she has never been aggressive at all. She loves other dogs.  There are two other dogs at her foster's house and she loves to run and play with them. She is a submissive dog at first, but once she is comfortable all she wants to do is play. She is crate trained; however, she does cry in the morning when she knows it is time to get up. She is house trained but does need to be let out on a regular basis. She is VERY smart. She knows how to sit, lay down, shake, touch, and spin. She LOVES frozen peanut butter kong balls! She also likes squeaky toys. She rides well in a car and she does great on a harness and leash. She will let you dress her up in cute little outfits as well. She is a sweet girl who deserves to find an amazing family.  <3 We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Most of our adoptable pets are in Houston but all are living with local foster families rather than a shelter, making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Colorado & Canada. Junebug is scheduled to arrive at a foster in Salem, OR on February 1st. After she arrives in Oregon, she will be available for meet and greets with approved applicants.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716    ##2288853##

Story
Brocco is an 8-year-old neutered male Australian Shepherd who spent his first six years with a breeder. He’s a well-behaved boy who is looking for a quiet home with mellow people. In his current home the man of the house makes him very nervous. He loves to snuggle with his person and loves walks off leash. He has excellent recall. He likes cats and is good with other dogs, but big boisterous dogs make him nervous and he’ll avoid them. He is looking for a home that is quiet and calm, willing to give him time to acclimate and show you the wonderful personality he reserves for those he loves and trusts. If you are interested in adopting Brocco, submit an adoption application at www.pottersangelsrescue.org
