Story
Tammy 801-791-3942We purchased Dallas from his owner in 2020 when he was a new pup as a Christmas present for my son. In the spring he moved to Idaho for work and could not take him. He loves the dog so much and kept Hoping between new locations, with new jobs, and now marriage, he would be able to get a place he could have him. But that is not in the case. Dallas is so loving and so friendly. He has never been aggressive Or try to bite Anyone. He is so hyper and has so much energy. He needs someplace he can run and not be locked up in a kennel all day. He has not had much training but seems to learn quick.

Story
Adeleine 435-695-4320Memphis is very playful she still has the mindset of a puppy, she socializes well when she gets interact she does bark quite a bit but then settles after a while but she always wants to play ideally I think having her in a home that has another dog would be very good for her and she just needs remind her she was very abused I`m her fourth owner and all of them have been homeless at a homeless shelter before me she was with an owner that was heavily into drugs and abused her quite a bit so she`s got some traumas that just need to be worked through and she has separation anxiety really bad.

Story
Kylee 801-643-1813If you are looking for your next best friend and adventure dog, rockie is your dog! Or he would make a great farm dog :) When I first got rockie, I was single and running in the mountains almost everyday. I was hoping he would adapt when I got married and had kids. Up unt kids we still were able to get out a lot, but now with 1 and kid and another on the way, I just can’t give the attention Rockie wants and needs. We go out on a walk everyday, sometimes twice, but it still isn’t enough for him. He hasn’t ever hurt my kid, but I fear everyday it could happen. He is loyal and very protective of me. He does have a little aggression in him, but that is only if you bother him when he does not want to be bothered.

*friendly - clever - fun* My adoption fee has been sponsored! I am only $15o to adopt. Vixen is a stunning girl that lifts the spirits of all around her! She'll greet you with her tongue lolling to one side in a goofy grin and then drop into a play bow. She loves to play with other dogs and is pretty good at matching their play styles, although she prefers to wrestle. She also plays well with children, but should avoid homes with cats. Vixen is an attentive and smart dog that picks up on training quickly. She knows sit and is learning "lay down." If you're looking for some extra sunshine to get you through winter, Vixen is the girl for you! Visit www.cachehumane.org for more information on how to adopt me!

Story
Hi, I am Shinzo: an 10 yr old, 70 lb male McNab mix. The first word that comes to mind when you see me is regal, being poised in my stature, walk and behavior, but you might catch me playfully hopping with my dog buddies. When we first meet I need a moment to stand back to check you out just to determine if you're friend or foe, but don't worry...I'm a love bug after I've made my decision and see that you are worthy. I get along great with the dogs in my foster house, and I am great with kids. (Sorry, I don't like cats though.) I prefer not to bark (even when others are) as I am too well-mannered, but I have a wonderful deep bark if needed. I already know how to use a doggy door and am completely trained to do my business outside. Unlike some of my herding friends, I'm not hyperactive. I do need room and time to exercise (wait till you see how good I am on a leash!) but I also enjoy a nice nap at your side. I might nudge you with my nose if I feel you're ignoring me, but you'll think it's super cute. Don't fret, this regal boy doesn't require a throne...just a home and family where I can show you what a perfect dog I am to love and to love you.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100. Story
Adopt River! This 5ish-year-old guy wants nothing more than to be snuggled by his people and give hugs. He has the best smile and is an absolutely delightful companion and the best work-from-home buddy. River will snooze at your feet during meetings, waking up occasionally to place his paw on your leg to check in. River would love a big backyard to run around in and then relax in the sun - he'll spend hours out there enjoying the fresh air, if you'll let him! River loves to chew on bones and squeaky toys and watch the world outside the front window. He enjoys the companionship of other dogs, but is not super playful with them. (Though he does enjoy a good game of a chase in the yard!) River also isn't a big fan of new people inside his home. So if you're a bit of an introvert, too, and prefer to do your socializing outside the house, then River is the pup for you! And the good news is that he's perfectly happy to hang out quietly in his crate on the occasions you do have company. This guy very quickly won the hearts of his foster family, and he will win your heart, too. To meet River, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Story
Chopper is a 2-ish year old blue heeler mix. Chopper was a community dog on the reservation, and was rescued after he had an encounter with a porcupine and needed medical attention. He has had quills removed twice, and deeply embedded quills are expected to continue to surface for several more months. Chopper is a sweet energetic boy that loves attention and cuddles. He thinks everyone is his best friend, and he has enthusiastic body wiggles when he wags his tail. He is crate trained and house trained. Chopper does sometimes pee when approached, but has been making great progress when approached gently. He loves to play and wrestle with his dog friends, and also loves a good cuddle on the couch. He loves to jump around and try to do aerial acrobatics when his meals are being brought to him. As Chopper is still new to being a pet, he will need an adopter that will be patient while working on general skills, such as basic obedience, learning to walk on a leash, and how to ride in a car. Chopper is a wonderful dog with a huge personality, and with the right training will be an amazing companion.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. Story
Frankie is a 10 month old dog, and is a shepherd and cattle dog mix of some sort. Frankie came to us as a medical rescue off a reservation, with horrible lacerations on one leg. He has now healed up beautifully and is hoping to find his forever home! Since he was a feral dog, he is very timid and lots of things scare him easily. While he is comfortable and does extremely well in his foster home, he will need a family that can be patient helping him learn basic commands, how to walk on a leash, and how to ride in a car. Frankie is one of the sweetest dogs, and loves to cuddle and follow his people around his house. He loves to play with toys, chew on bones, and lounge in a soft doggy bed or on the couch. He does happy dances at meal times, and loves butt scratches. He is house and crate trained. Frankie will ABSOLUTELY need to have a fenced in yard and another dog in the home that he can play with that will help him gain confidence in his new home. Frankie's adoption fee is $200 and he is fully vetted- fixed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and health checked. To be considered, please apply online at caws.org. Thanks! Story
Meet Mikey! A 6 year old hound mix who is a spirited, energetic pup that thrives on adventure and loves being the center of attention. With a personality as big as his energy, Mikey is a playful and affectionate companion to his family—especially when he's around people he knows and trusts.Mikey's ideal day is filled with high-energy activities like fetch, tug-of-war, and long walks on trails where he can explore to his heart's content. While he's content lounging in the backyard or sunbathing when indoors, he's always ready for action, and his exercise needs are high. If you love being outdoors and staying active, Mikey will be your perfect partner. He's crate-trained and house-trained, and he's a good boy when it comes to his daily routine. Mikey is a well-behaved pup at home, but he can get a bit anxious outside his familiar environment, especially around other dogs or unfamiliar people. He's not a fan of dog parks, and interactions with other dogs can be unpredictable, so he'd be happiest in an environment where he's the only pup in the family or with a family that can give him the time and space he needs to feel comfortable.Once he feels secure, he's all love and affection. His family can attest to his sweet side, and Mikey's also quite clever - he knows a few fun tricks, including shake, spin, and roll-over.Mikey is best suited to an active family who can provide him with plenty of exercise and a structured routine. He does well with a fenced-in yard to explore, and he'll need a home where he's the sole pet or with older kids who can respect his boundaries. Mikey would thrive with people who are patient, understanding, and willing to work with his quirks and needs. He's a sweet, loving dog at heart. He's got a ton of personality, and when he's comfortable, he's playful, loyal, and a great companion. If you're an active family looking for a loyal, fun, and loving pet, Mikey might just be the perfect match for you!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
