Story
🌟Joey Tyler! 🌟 Now being fostered in Pittsburg PA ! But can be transported to the East Coast and PNW Joey is an energetic and bouncy 10 month old Blue Heeler and Aussie mix. He loves walks and hiking, chasing, digging, chewing, obedience training, and watching TV. He loves to learn, and is food motivated. Joey is fully house broken and crate trained, and he knows most basic commands - “come, sit, stay, drop it, leave it, up, down, gentle, look, and crate”. He is good on a leash and well tempered on walks, not reactive towards people or dogs passing by. So far he has proven great with most all other dogs, and loves to play with older kids (but he was too much for the little ones under 6yrs old). And he did well when meeting goats and horses, although does not have experience with them yet. Joey has never met a cat, as far as I know, and would probably like to chase it. He loves to play chase and would thrive in a home with breed experience and a way to channel his fun energy! Ready for lots of love and adventures? Georgie is waiting for his forever home! 🐾 Don't miss out on this amazing boy! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Here’s the 411. I was cruising around the streets in Central Utah when the local Sheriff’s office decided that wasn’t a good thing. There was the old good cop/bad cop routine because I came into their holding pen packin’. I played along and answered their questions. Name: Olive M age: 2 1/2 yrs breed: Heeler/Hound mix (best guess) weight: 42 lbs. I wouldn’t give in to the question of how much I was packing, (I didn’t know!). The Sheriff knew I couldn’t stay and an arrangement was made for me to go to a rescue and that’s how I came to be with Rescue Rovers and my fosters. I’m so glad they took me in! I’m no longer packing pups; I delivered 6 beautiful pups and now I’m looking for my forever home. I’m house trained and walk well on a leash with the right collar. I’m timid with people I haven’t met but once I know & trust you I will be by your side and a good companion. I LOVE to play fetch! Being a submissive dog, a firm but gentle hand will do for me with encouragement to get me to follow your direction. My energy level is med-high. I need a home with children 8 and older because I’m unsure of younger kids; their movements are scary for me. I’m a hound mix and small animals are prey to me so no cats please!! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi I am Briggs Stratton, nice to meet you! I am a two year old neutered 35 lb red heeler mix.   I am such a happy boy!  My foster pawrents don’t know what happened to me in my past, but I am fearful of new people. My foster pawrents have had me working with a dog trainer daily for the last couple of months. I’m one of those dogs that will love his people so much , but will most likely be a dog that will always need time to warm up to new people, including my new family. I am so ready for my forever home!  Training  will be required of my new family so I can continue to be the best dog I can be. My trainer tells me I am very smart, too smart, which means I pick up training quickly , but also that I pick up every bad habit quickly as well.    I will do best in a dog experienced home with knowledge of the  herding breed. An adult only home or home with older kids would be best for me. I have never met a cat, but because of my breed, I would most likely want a cat free home.    I am great on leash. I am crate and potty trained. I sleep in my crate, as well as stay in my crate for 8+ hours a day while my foster pawrents work.    I do well with other dogs , but would also do fine as a solo dog in my new home .   Besides my fear issue, I am a pretty mellow guy. My mom would give me a 5 on the energy level scale, but I do occasionally  get the zoomies.    A few things about me: —I am e-collar trained/continuous training as a reminder for me would be  required —Walk well on leash —Potty trained —Crate trained —No food or toy aggression —Loves dogs of all sizes     My favorite thing to do is roll around and lay on the grass. It feels so good!  I love splashing around in water. Just in case you didn’t know, the water bowl is not just for drinking.  I also love to sit by my foster mom so she can give me loves and hugs. It feels so nice to finally have someone to love me.    Please reach out to Rescue Rovers if you would like to meet me. https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2024, 8:02 pm
