Story
Tammy 801-791-3942We purchased Dallas from his owner in 2020 when he was a new pup as a Christmas present for my son. In the spring he moved to Idaho for work and could not take him. He loves the dog so much and kept Hoping between new locations, with new jobs, and now marriage, he would be able to get a place he could have him. But that is not in the case. Dallas is so loving and so friendly. He has never been aggressive Or try to bite Anyone. He is so hyper and has so much energy. He needs someplace he can run and not be locked up in a kennel all day. He has not had much training but seems to learn quick.

Story
Adeleine 435-695-4320Memphis is very playful she still has the mindset of a puppy, she socializes well when she gets interact she does bark quite a bit but then settles after a while but she always wants to play ideally I think having her in a home that has another dog would be very good for her and she just needs remind her she was very abused I`m her fourth owner and all of them have been homeless at a homeless shelter before me she was with an owner that was heavily into drugs and abused her quite a bit so she`s got some traumas that just need to be worked through and she has separation anxiety really bad.

Story
Kylee 801-643-1813If you are looking for your next best friend and adventure dog, rockie is your dog! Or he would make a great farm dog :) When I first got rockie, I was single and running in the mountains almost everyday. I was hoping he would adapt when I got married and had kids. Up unt kids we still were able to get out a lot, but now with 1 and kid and another on the way, I just can’t give the attention Rockie wants and needs. We go out on a walk everyday, sometimes twice, but it still isn’t enough for him. He hasn’t ever hurt my kid, but I fear everyday it could happen. He is loyal and very protective of me. He does have a little aggression in him, but that is only if you bother him when he does not want to be bothered.

Story
Hi, I am Shinzo: an 10 yr old, 70 lb male McNab mix. The first word that comes to mind when you see me is regal, being poised in my stature, walk and behavior, but you might catch me playfully hopping with my dog buddies. When we first meet I need a moment to stand back to check you out just to determine if you're friend or foe, but don't worry...I'm a love bug after I've made my decision and see that you are worthy. I get along great with the dogs in my foster house, and I am great with kids. (Sorry, I don't like cats though.) I prefer not to bark (even when others are) as I am too well-mannered, but I have a wonderful deep bark if needed. I already know how to use a doggy door and am completely trained to do my business outside. Unlike some of my herding friends, I'm not hyperactive. I do need room and time to exercise (wait till you see how good I am on a leash!) but I also enjoy a nice nap at your side. I might nudge you with my nose if I feel you're ignoring me, but you'll think it's super cute. Don't fret, this regal boy doesn't require a throne...just a home and family where I can show you what a perfect dog I am to love and to love you.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100. Story
Adopt River! This 5ish-year-old guy wants nothing more than to be snuggled by his people and give hugs. He has the best smile and is an absolutely delightful companion and the best work-from-home buddy. River will snooze at your feet during meetings, waking up occasionally to place his paw on your leg to check in. He is super quiet in the house and requires only a couple short walks a day. River loves to chew on bones and squeaky toys, sun himself in the backyard, and watch the world outside the front window. He enjoys the companionship of other dogs, but is not super playful with them. River is shy but friendly with people outside the house, but he isn't a big fan of new people inside his home. So if you're a bit of an introvert, too, and prefer to do your socializing outside the house, then River is the pup for you! And the good news is that he's perfectly happy to hang out quietly in his crate on the occasions you do have company. This guy very quickly won the hearts of his foster family, and he will win your heart, too. To meet River, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Story
She’s great at learning and is fairly treat motivated. She’s 1 year old, female, spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, last got her rabies vaccine in May 2024, great dental history, great with kids and other animals, loves to play and very very friendly. She’s well trained, knows “Sit”, “Shake”, “Leave it”, “Fetch” “Lay down”, “Spin”, “Outside” and “Kennel”. She’s fully leash trained and we’ve been working on recall skills (command word “Heel”). She has a kennel but loves to hangout with people/outside. Loves toys, treats and will play fetch for hours. Sleeps a lot but does have lots of energy, loves to play with kids. Understands boundaries if set properly (such as not being allowed on beds/couches). She knows to leave food that falls on the floor alone unless you tell her to eat it (she’s my vacuum sometimes lol). She’s in great health and has no history of worms or heart issues. Fully potty trained and is the biggest sweetheart, cuddle bug in the world!
