Story
Canaan is a Heeler/pyranees mix (dob: 10/16/21). Not a big dog at only 50 lbs Original owner rehomed to a family friend at around two months old. New owners did not complete his vetting so we had it done. He is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is now microchipped and his heartworm test was negative. He is good with other dogs, cats, kids, teenagers and adults. He has to learn to trust at first. Housebroken, crate trained. Great temperament. Very loving and playful dog. He would be a great walking Buddy or jogging partner. Commands he knows: sit, wait, leave it, back (when you want him to back up out of a space), out, crate, bed, place, quiet, outside, potty, get a toy, come, walks well on a leash, get in the car. He’s super easy to train, very willing to please and loves treats. Sweet and smart, ready to join your family. He holds stuffed toys in his mouth for comfort and doesn’t destroy them. You can complete an application for adoption on our website. www.chloespetrescue.org/application . Canaan’s adoption fee is $225 which includes his vetting.

Story
Hi, Ross here! If you are looking for a best buddy who likes to be on the go and have fun, I’m your guy. I was born this past July and am an Aussie Mix, like my Mom, although we are not sure about my Dad’s breed. I'm sweet and cuddly, with soft white fur, and sparkly dark eyes.   I'm great with kids, cats, other dogs. I like going new places and meeting new friends.  I'm very well adjusted!  I'm crate trained and housetrained.   I would love a person or family who will make me a part of their whole live, for my whole life. I’m available on a Foster-to-Adopt basis. Approved fosters will: Keep the puppy safe and well taken care of (all pets in the home must be up to date on shots and heartworm prevention) Children in the home must be over five years old. Provide adequate socialization, structure and predictable routines.  Provide positive reinforcement training only; no prong, shock, or choke chains will be provided or tolerated. RHS will provide training resources for you as well as offer a rescue rate with our trainer should you want home or classroom training Take the puppy to all vet appointments at our vet (at RHS expense) Pay $50 deposit upon placement, to be applied to the final adoption fee Adopt the puppy once all medical care is complete, including spay or neuter at least 6 months of age. STIL INTERESTED?  NEXT STEPS: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor, and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $135 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets.   ##2466427##

Story
This smart, beautiful girl has a wonderful spirit and gentle soul.  We just love her to bits.   She's a pretty savvy chick.  She figured out the doggie door pretty quick and takes herself out to go potty or a respite from the hustle and bustle of a busy doggy filled houshold. She's sensitive and sweet and can read a room in 10 seconds flat.  Good vibe, bad vibe?  She knows.  She loves hanging out with the resident dogs and patrolling the backyard for squirrels. Glory has also discovered the toy basket and loves to empty it and even take toys out the doggie door.  She enjoys walks with her foster mom and her "pack", exploring new neighborhoods and fields. Oh - and she's been a momma - raised to kiddos, Ross and Betsy.  Also available for adoption.  She was a good mom, and is a most excellent dog.   You'd be lucky if she was your dog.   ##2466424##

Story
Six months old, about 40 pounds, and already a professional at stealing hearts. Betsy has a sweet, loving disposition and a gentle soul. She enjoys soaking in the good stuff once she feels comfortable, but like many young dogs, she can be a little nervous in new situations. With a bit of patience and reassurance, her confidence blooms and her affectionate personality really shines. Betsy is looking for a forever home that will give her time to settle in, show her the world at her pace, and celebrate all her small wins. In return, she offers devotion, soft eyes, and a whole lot of love. If you’re looking for a young dog who will bond deeply and thrive with kind guidance, Betsy might be your perfect match. Message us to learn more about adopting Betsy or to schedule a meet-and-greet. Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. Story
Meet Littlefoot! This little tripod is one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet. She was found as a stray along with her puppies in South Texas a few months ago. Since rescuing her, we have gotten her fully vetted which included amputating her front limb, as she was born with a deformity that was causing her some pain. She’s a little over a year old, good with dogs, but prefers a mellow companion. She’s extremely sweet with people and would like to be a cuddle partner for hours on end. She’s also potty trained and crate trained. She has not been cat tested so unfortunately, we do not know how she would do with kitties. Because Littlefoot was a "street dog" the first year of her life, new things can be scary at first. So we will require a patient leader that can teach her that the world is not a scary place. Our trainer will be happy to continue to work with her on confidence building once she enters into your home, as all of our pups come with 3 free at home sessions with one of our trainers. If this little bundle of energy and love, sounds like the perfect match for you, please visit the link and fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a phone call to chat about her . Please note we do not ship dogs out of state. If you’re currently not in the Dallas Fort Worth area, you will have to come to Dallas to meet her.
