Story
Trenton is a 2-year-old neutered male Heeler/Hound mix with handsome red and white coloring and beautiful speckling that makes him just as unique as his personality. He came from a situation where there were many dogs and limited positive human interaction, so he is still learning how to build confidence and trust with people.Trenton has already made great progress and continues to improve every day. He is starting to seek out human affection more and more, showing just how much he wants to connect—he just needs a little time and patience to fully come out of his shell. Once he feels safe, he has the potential to form a strong and loyal bond with his people. He is doing much better on a leash and has really begun to enjoy going for walks. Walks are becoming a great way for him to build confidence and explore the world at his own pace. He is also very treat-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for training with positive reinforcement.Trenton would do best in a calm home without young children, where the environment is quiet and predictable so he can continue to gain confidence. When meeting other dogs on leash, he has seemed okay with gentle, respectful dogs, but he can show some barrier reactivity and may be selective about his canine companions. Because of this, a meet and greet will be required for any dogs already in the home.Trenton would likely thrive in a house with a secure yard where he can safely explore, stretch his legs, and continue building confidence at his own pace. With the right patient and understanding family, Trenton has all the potential to blossom into a devoted, affectionate companion.

Story
Roo is a 1-year-old spayed female Heeler mix with a gentle spirit who is still learning that the world—and the people in it—can be safe. She came from a situation where she didn’t receive much positive human interaction, so she is understandably unsure and a bit aloof around people right now. Roo is not aggressive; she simply prefers to keep her distance until she feels comfortable.Roo is starting to make progress and is doing better on a leash—she’s even beginning to enjoy going for walks. Walks are becoming a great way for her to build confidence and explore her surroundings at her own pace. While she may be hesitant at first, once you’re able to catch her, she allows you to hold her and love on her, showing that she does have a sweet and affectionate side just waiting to come out. She will need a patient and understanding owner who is committed to socializing her and helping her learn that humans are safe and kind.Because of her sensitive nature, Roo would do best in a calm home without young children, where she can build confidence in a quiet and predictable environment.Roo can show barrier reactivity with other dogs, but when properly introduced to calm, respectful dogs, she has done okay. Because of this, a meet and greet will be required for any dogs already in the home to ensure it’s a good match.Roo would likely thrive in a home with a secure yard where she can explore and decompress while continuing to grow. The family who gives Roo the patience and compassion she needs will get to witness something truly special—the transformation of a shy, uncertain dog into a loyal and devoted companion.*Currently Offsite for Training and Socialization. Story
Bear is a wonderful 2year old pup. I got him from a family friend at 8weeks. He is great with kids and other pets. He loves to be outside and belly rubs. I am getting married and we are moving to a place I absolutely cannot keep him. Its breaking my heart. I have his sister too, Bella, and would love for them to go together. But its not a deal breaker. A family or person who would love him and spend time with would be a great fit.

Story
Bella is a fun loving super friendly 2 year old dog. I got her from a family friend when she was 8 weeks. I am getting married and moving to a place where we cannot have dogs. It's beyond impossible for us to keep her. I am heart broken. She is smart and obeys commands. She is great with kids and other animals. She just wants to be loved on. I also have her brother Bear who I would like to go with her, but that's not mandatory.

Story
Meet Baker!! Baker is an 8 year old tri-pawd, but don’t let that fool you! He still has plenty of energy and loves to play! Baker originally came to us from a local animal shelter after being hit by a car and sustaining an injury to his front leg, causing it to be amputated. He has fully healed from his ordeal and doesn’t even miss his leg! Baker still has a good amount of energy and LOVES to use his brain for training. He can be pushy if he thinks he could get away with it, so an owner that can be a strong leader that sets boundaries is a must. Otherwise, he is like a kid and will try to run the show:)! Baker gets along great with other dogs and has lived well with cats. Baker is VERY smart, and knows all his basic commands, such a good boy! He is a big snuggle bug, too! He loves to get his belly rubbed and says “thank you” with the sweetest puppy dog eyes! He is crate trained and potty trained as well. Baker is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. If you think you could be Baker's family, please visit our website to fill out an application to learn more about him! www.maziesmission.org
