Story
Hello! This is Mochi (mo-chee) and he is around 10 yrs old (could be younger since he was a stray) We are looking to rehome Mochi in preparation for our first child. I’m looking much earlier in advance so I have time to vet ppl out. Mochi is calm like 80% of the day despite being a mix of a bunch of herding dogs but definitely gets more energetic after work hours. He had heartworms after I initially adopted him 5 years ago but those were treated w no issues. He is not a super cuddly dog but definitely enjoys people and being pet. Just not hugs, being lifted, or his tail being touched while he’s resting. Hes also doesnt have the best track record w other animals especially ones bigger than him (could also be my inexperience w dog behavior though) He plays on the rougher side for some people but he is also very food motivated. I don’t want to risk the chance of my dog reactively biting my child because his tail was accidentally touched.

AUSTIN METRO AREA ADOPTIONS ONLY Happy-go-lucky GUS! Gus is a gentle soul. He is a possible heeler mix with a husky blend (?) that was rescued from a rural kill shelter. He grew up in our rescue's ranch, first as a puppy and now he is a young adult. Please, please do not pass him by. He prefers non-dominant play mates and the ladies are his favorite ("wink"). He still acts like a puppy, as he loves to come up to you for pats and snuggles. Look at his million watt smile!! He is so happy just to be near people and he is eager to please. He LOVES treats and this is just great, as he is definitely food-motivated and will be easier to train. He will need an active family who will take him on walks and runs. One who does not mind brushing up on his training, as he is used to being in a kennel environment, running around with the other rescued dogs. But we want him to thrive with his own snuggly bed, home, and a human family. He may need some more leash training but he is smart and willing. A fenced backyard will be great, as he is happiest exploring and chasing squirrels. Gus’s adoption fee of $350.00 includes his Vet exam, current vaccinations, heart worm test, preventative, fecal test, wormer, neuter and microchip.

Story
Zippy Zeke! Zeke came to us from a family who saved a dog who ended up being pregnant. She delivered 6 puppies. They kept the Mom(middle of group picture) and one puppy and gave away two. We do not know what breed mix they are but we think there might be a little Blue Heeler in their mix. They have shorter legs like a Dachshund and their bodies are a bit long. The perfect home would hav a privacy fenced yard, no pool, time for training and children over 5 years. They love their doggie pool, playing with stuffed toys and treats. Zeke’s adoption fee of $350.00 includes his vet exam, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test, wormer, heart worm preventative, neuter and microchip. Adoption decisions are based on the best overall match and not done on a first-come-first-serve basis. Thank you for your interest!

Story
Available 10/24/24; applications being accepted now. This sweet boy is a super cute mixed pup. He will likely be a small to medium size dog full grown. He looks a little bit like a jack russell terrier, but we don’t know for sure; we can only guess. He came to us with Bernie, but we are not sure they are related. For him to be the best dog he can be, he will need a lot of love, socialization, attention, crate training, housetraining and some obedience would be great. Having another canine playmate in the home would be super. Adoption Requirements: Children over 7 in the household, no swimming pool, privacy fence. Ernie’s adoption fee of $400 covers the vet exam, age-appropriate vaccines, medications, microchip, and a future neuter.
