Story
Hi! I'm Salsa! I'm an approximately 6 month old, female, Queensland Heeler mix who weighs 48lbs. I was surrendered by my finder on 01/06/2025 because they could not keep me. I was part of a litter of 6 puppies that was found and now it is just me and my sister. I love attention and love to be praised! I am a good girl looking for a furr ever home. I have grown up around other dogs but if you have one in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. I love to run and play and love kids. I play hard but nap even harder. As soon as I wear myself out during play time, you can find me snoozing on something comfy. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination and basic boosters! Meet and greets are by approved application. Please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application and RAC staff will be in touch with next steps!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. March 12, 2025, 3:12 pm

Story
Meet Littlefoot! This little tripod is one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet. She was found as a stray along with her puppies in South Texas a few months ago. Since rescuing her, we have gotten her fully vetted which included amputating her front limb, as she was born with a deformity that was causing her some pain. She’s a little over a year old, good with dogs, but prefers a mellow companion. She’s extremely sweet with people and would like to be a cuddle partner for hours on end. She’s also potty trained and crate trained. She has not been cat tested so unfortunately, we do not know how she would do with kitties. Because Littlefoot was a "street dog" the first year of her life, new things can be scary at first. So we will require a patient leader that can teach her that the world is not a scary place. Our trainer will be happy to continue to work with her on confidence building once she enters into your home, as all of our pups come with 3 free at home sessions with one of our trainers. If this little bundle of energy and love, sounds like the perfect match for you, please visit the link and fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a phone call to chat about her . Please note we do not ship dogs out of state. If you’re currently not in the Dallas Fort Worth area, you will have to come to Dallas to meet her.

Story
Hi there, I'm Casanova! I'm a young chap with a heart full of sweetness and a mind full of curiosity. I love exploring new things, but I'm also quite the gentleman. I've mastered the art of sitting politely and shaking hands, all ready to impress you. I'm also leash trained, so walks with me will be a breeze! I do have one little quirk though - I prefer if my ears aren't touched. I'd do best in a home with older kids who can understand and respect my boundaries. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love to my forever home. Adopt me and let's create beautiful memories together! Please call 972-524-4709 with any other questions or if you would like more information. Story
I am a %100 Disabled American Veteran. I had a Service Dog for 10 years. He passed away on Christmas Eve. I have a puppy that is training to do his job. I have some serious health issues and I have a total of 5 dogs. Shad O is way too high energy for me and it is disrupting my health issues and causing me a hard time with training the puppy. Shad O is a great dog. He loves to cuddle. He is great with kids, other dogs, cat curious. He is very energetic and needs a home with another dog or kids so that his energy needs get met. I was hoping that he goes with the service dog program that gave me this website. Shad O is 11 months old, neutered and shots updated and microchipped. He is house trained and potty trained. He really needs a home ASAP, as I don't know how much longer I will be able to physically and mentally be able to keep him

Story
Lucy came to us as an owner surrender. Sadly, she was never spayed and kept having litter after litter.  We agreed to take the puppies as long as they gave us Lucy as well. We wanted her to finally have a home where she could be a cherished pet. Lucy is an extremely sweet and happy girl. She gets along with dogs of all sizes, cats and she adores children. She is in great shape! Our vet thought she was only 3 years old because her teeth are pearly white. However,  Lucy is 9 years young We think she would be a fabulous companion to a lucky human.  ##1622253##

Story
Hi! I'm Sapphire! I'm an approximately 3 year old, female, Blue Lacy/Lab mix who weighs about 65lbs. I was surrendered to the shelter on 12/16/2024 because my owners could no longer care for me. I was adopted and returned due to my inability to accept the cats in the home. So now I am once again available for adoption and hoping to find my fur-ever family soon! I am a sweet and social girl who loves people! I do well taking baths and walking on a leash. I am smart and sassy and love to play! I am absolutely obsessed with toys and stuffed animals. When I find one I like, I'm not likely to let it go. I will need a family who has time to work on my basic training and has the patience and love to give me as I learn and adapt to a new environment. Due to being shuffled around and being displaced for the last few months, understandably, I have some anxiety when in a new home. I do not like wire kennels so a plastic one is suggested to help me learn the rules of the home and the daily routine of my new family. I like to jump up and give hugs, but it is all about giving love to my people. I have done well with other dogs, but I can be dominant and not every dog appreciates my confidence. if you already have a furry companion at home, a meet and greet is very much encouraged to make sure we get along before taking me home. I do not do well with small dogs, small mammals or cats. Dogs my size or larger only please! My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccine and basic boosters, and I am heartworm negative! If you are interested in making me the newest member of your family, please visit https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ to fill out an application and RAC staff will be in touch to schedule a meet and greet!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
