Story
Dalton, a sweet 3-year-old Blue Heeler mix who has had a tough start to life. He is a bit scared and unsure of new people and new situations, which can cause him to become nippy. But don't let that fool you! Underneath his fear is a loving and loyal dog who just needs a patient and understanding owner to help him build his confidence.Dalton has a lot of potential and with time, patience, and proper training, he will become a wonderful companion. He needs an adopter who is willing to work with him and help him overcome his fears. Positive reinforcement training methods will be the key to helping Blue feel safe and secure in his new home. He has shown great progress when working with our junior volunteers over the age of 8, but he still needs a low stress home where he can feel safe and secure. With his beautiful coat and bright, curious eyes, Dalton is sure to capture your heart. He loves to play and go for walks, but can sometimes be timid around new people or loud noises. He would do best in a quiet, low-stress home with a patient and understanding owner who can give him the love and support he needs to flourish. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who just needs a little extra TLC, Dalton may be the perfect match for you. With your help and guidance, he will become a confident and happy dog who will always be by your side. Curious to find out more about Dalton? Story
Meet Lucki, a confident Cattle dog mix always on the lookout for his person. He is the perfect size at 40 lbs for any home with a play area. A confident, calm pet parent would be best suited to be Lucki's partner in crime! He enjoys his outdoor time, playing fetch, tug of war, or even nice long walks are shared activities that he would love partaking in with his favorite person. Don’t forget about treats either as this guy would do anything for a tasty milk bone! Although he prefers to be with his person, he does get along with most dogs.Lucki is crate and housetrained, He can walk on a leash pretty well, and is trying to work on being more social! We recommend a household with older kids, no cats, and no more than one other dog. For more information about Lucki please contact his foster mom Liz at (214) 616-6128. If would like to meet and shake paws with him, fill out our application online at https://shelter2rescue.org/DogAdoption.html If you are interested in fostering a pet , please visit our website www.shelter2rescue.org to fill out an application

Story
Meet Paloma, a stunning and intelligent adult Cattle Dog/Collie mix with the athleticism and independence to match her beauty! This girl is the definition of a strong, confident lady, and she’s always ready for an adventure—whether it’s a game of fetch with her larger, playmate pals or a good ol’ squirrel-chasing session in the yard.Paloma’s a dream when it comes to house and crate training. She’s well-mannered in the home, although she’ll need to learn the specific rules of her forever family. She’s got no problem sharing a blankie and snuggling up in bed—she’s a quiet, respectful bed buddy who loves being close to her humans, but never takes over the space (she's too polite for that!).Car rides? Absolutely! And when she’s not on the road, you’ll often find Paloma perched at the highest point of the yard, keeping an eye out for any squirrels or cats that might be testing her boundary patrol skills. No one gets past her watchful gaze!Paloma’s ideal home would be with someone who can make her feel special—she’s a one-and-only type of gal, and she thrives on that close bond. She’s fine with a crate when necessary, but she prefers the company of her people. Expect her to be a devoted, loyal companion who will love you with all her heart. If you're looking for a smart, strong, and playful girl with a heart full of love to give, Paloma might just be the perfect match! She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you are interested in learning more about Paloma, please text Liz at 214-616-6128. If you are interested in meeting & potentially adopting her, please find out application here www.shelter2rescue.org If you are interested in fostering a pet , please visit our website www.shelter2rescue.org to fill out an application

Story
Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       Meet Roman!   This friendly and unique three year old cattle dog/Shepard mix came to the shelter as a stray.  Everyone assumed an owner would come because Roman was picked up with a medical cone on him due to a skin infection. Our rescue was called, and we got him to the vet.   They confirmed he had a skin infection, but assured us he was otherwise a healthy dog.   With medication, his hair is grown back, and he is looking and feeling great. Roman is a great size at 34 pounds and is potty & crate trained.  He enjoys playing outside and loves to play ball.  If you would like to meet this super cute guy, please email wendee@sterlingtile.netJanuary 28, 2025, 6:58 pm
