Story
**Currently fostered in Conroe Texas** Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has a ton of energy and he loves to run and play. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Although, make sure it isn't a tennis ball or you'll find them in pieces! Barkley clearly was a dog that wasn't well socialized with others prior to coming into rescue. So far, he has done well with large female dogs, but he clearly lacks social skills. He does not like male dogs, and smaller dogs he is much to pushy for. He very clearly wants to be friendly, but struggles due to a lack of social skills. We believe with continued socialization with healthy, playful dogs will yield continued success with him! We suggest no cats though since he has a prey drive and goes after the squirrels and chickens. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. While he still struggles with impulse control, he has continued to show great results. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. Story
Boogie was found wandering the woods. He is approximately 2 years old. He's neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is house trained, crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs. He is playful and energetic. He knows basic commands such as sit and come. He enjoys playing fetch. He walks well on a leash. He does well off leash when walking in the woods and likes to stay by his people. He has a lot of energy and would be best suited for an active family. When not playing he prefers to be close to his people. He has a high prey drive around smaller mammals and birds such as squirrels and chickens when not supervised but appears to get along well with our cat. He does have herding instincts and could be cultivated into a working dog. He is heartworm positive but has been on the Moxy/Doxy cycle for a few months and will be rechecked soon and doesn't show any impairments from it.

Story
Hi I'm Thelma! My sister Louise and I were dumped in a cardbox in a nice ladies driveway when were babies. The box had a shipping label on it and the people even confessed to leaving us behind but law enforcement still did nothing to defend us so the community came together and helped the nice lady get us taken care of at the vet! We've been staying with a friend of the lady but she was in an accident and sustained permanent damage to the nerves and bones in her neck so we are looking for new families that can keep up with our puppy energy! Quote from foster: " Thelma is the definition of a 'velcro dog', she would live in your skin if you'd let her. She is great around the ponies and cows and loves to play with the cats. Given free range of the property she still doesn't wander far from the house. She's smart as a whip and with a little dedication from someone more able bodied she would train really quickly. She loves the water and I catch her in the ponies trough almost daily. he really is a great dog and I love her, I just can't be what she needs right now." Thelma needs to be the only female dog in the home. She is a wonderful playmate for males though. Thelma is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.
