Story
AUSTIN METRO AREA ADOPTIONS ONLY Happy-go-lucky GUS! Gus is a gentle soul. He is a possible heeler mix with a husky blend (?) that was rescued from a rural kill shelter. He grew up in our rescue's ranch, first as a puppy and now he is a young adult. Please, please do not pass him by. He prefers non-dominant play mates and the ladies are his favorite ("wink"). He still acts like a puppy, as he loves to come up to you for pats and snuggles. Look at his million watt smile!! He is so happy just to be near people and he is eager to please. He LOVES treats and this is just great, as he is definitely food-motivated and will be easier to train. He will need an active family who will take him on walks and runs. One who does not mind brushing up on his training, as he is used to being in a kennel environment, running around with the other rescued dogs. But we want him to thrive with his own snuggly bed, home, and a human family. He may need some more leash training but he is smart and willing. A fenced backyard will be great, as he is happiest exploring and chasing squirrels. Gus’s adoption fee of $350.00 includes his Vet exam, current vaccinations, heart worm test, preventative, fecal test, wormer, neuter and microchip.

Story
Zeke is seeking his furever home! This boy's tail has not stopped wagging since he entered his foster home. He's such a happy-go-lucky guy that gives sweet kisses and warm cuddles. He also loves to run around and play in typical puppy fashion, so a home with a fenced in yard would be the ideal fit for Zeke. Also because he's a young puppy, we are recommending children over 5 as young kids can sometimes overwhelm young puppies (and vice versa). Zeke is going to make such an amazing addition to his furever home, you gotta check this guy out! Zeke’s adoption fee of $350.00 includes his vet exam, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test, wormer, heart worm preventative, neuter and microchip. Austin, TX area adoptions preferred. Adoption decisions are based on the best overall match and not done on a first-come-first-serve basis. Thank you for your interest! More pictures of Zeke on our website.

Story
AUSTIN, TX AREA ADOPTIONS ONLY Nova is a star! A blue heeler mix, she came to us from a family who saved a dog that ended up being pregnant. We rescued her and her siblings. She has a cute little overbite, for which she’s seen a doggie dentist (yes, they exist!) and had a couple of baby teeth removed. She was on a medical hold until those teeth were pulled, but now she’s ready for her perfect forever home! The rescue will cover the cost of her follow-up doggie dentist appointment at the end of November too. Nova has done well with her foster dog siblings as well as foster human siblings. We are recommending a home with children 5 and over simply because young children can sometimes be overwhelming for puppies like Nova. The perfect home would also have a privacy fenced yard and no pool for her safety. Nova’s adoption fee of $350.00 includes her Vet exam, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test, wormer, heart worm preventative, spay and microchip. Story
Mousey is an adorable dog and will make a perfect family pet! She loves all other dogs and romps and plays all day at the ranch with many other breeds...kind of like a dog park in reverse. She came from a very high-kill shelter in California and had been dumped as a puppy in the hard streets of a high-crime area. She had one friend in the world, Sopita, who was also saved by Dogtown. When she first got to the ranch, she could not be separated from her friend, but she quickly found a hundred other buddies and learned that life can be a good thing after all. Mousey loves to play, chase a ball and also fun to cuddle. Please get in touch and meet our precious Mousey who wants a family to call her own.May 22, 2024, 5:48 am
