Story
This is Rip, he is not very big, house trained, crate trained, good with other dogs, doesn’t mind the inside cat but watches it. Sweet, polite, submissive, but needs a home with no horses or at least close site of them. Our old place wasn’t an issue but new house back yard borders the horse pasture and directly across from the barn, it drives him crazy to see them so close. We are afraid he or horses will get hurt or both if horse kicks thru fence at him or he were to get to them. He’s protective, will bark at strangers but will stop when told and immediately sit or retreat, he’s lovey and sweet. He loves attention but not pushy. Like a feather if he wants get in your lap. Waits till you tell him it’s ok to eat his food. Will include his crate.

Story
Hello I'm Radar! Everyone always talks about my ears! I am a young adult and have some puppy energy. I love to chew on toys and I may need some help learning what is okay to gnaw on. I love to play with dogs and I love people! I would do best in a home with other dog friends to play with. I have spent most of my puppy life in a shelter so I am working on house training. I enjoy my crate and love to snack on some frozen kongs while you are out. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Radar is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
Vienna is a gentle, sweet and loving blue heeler mix. She loves to snuggle at your feet and look lovingly into your eyes. She is great with other dogs but doesn’t want to play with them; if a dog is being too energetic in her face she does let them know with a nice little rumble. She is appropriately 6 years old. When found, Vienna had been living on the streets in rural Louisiana for over a year. Despite that difficult life, she is good with (older) children, though we’re unsure how she’ll respond to cats. She likes to go on short walks in the park and really enjoys watching other dogs play, even though she has no interest in joining them! Story
Josi is a sweet almost 7 year old, 46 pound gal looking for a relaxed home. She would love a female owner with no children and no cats. She?d be fine in a home with a male, but bonds better with female humans Josi is looking for a calm environment where she can get belly rubs and relax. She is house/crate trained. Josi would do well as a solo pet or with a calm dog companion. She enjoys going for walks, zoomies in the backyard and watching tv. Josi is a low maintenance dog looking for the quiet life!October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

She's a sweetheart but she can't seem to stop focusing on our cat. She's a lot to handle and would probably be better off with someone with some land she can play on. We thought walks and a nice backyard would be enough, it doesn't seem to be the case.

Story
Hi, my foster mom says I am a bundle of joy and energy, I need a family with older children. She says I get excited and might be too rough with small kids. I don`t like the fly swatter thing. I am a good girl and I learned to use the doggy door. If you don`t have one I will go to the door and wait for you to come open it. I will sit, lay (down), and stay for a bit anyway. I love to play fetch with my tennis balls. I have lots of squeaky toys. I like to sleep on the bed and I am a bit of a bed hog, but I will share with you. I will go in the crate and I will sit there like a good girl but you will see how sad it makes me. I do not jump up on people but I do want everyone to pet me. As you can see from my pictures I love to layout on the sofa. The vet gave me a clean bill of health what ever that is. My foster mom could not care for me so I am at the rescue now. Come visit me … I love walks and belly rubs. ?? Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, insurance for 30 days, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry
