Story
Meet Marjorie! Marjorie is a beautiful brindle pit bull mix, about 42 pounds, at 2 years old, and is so deserving of a forever home! She has been through a lot in her short life including being a wonderful mama to a 9-pup litter in the fall of 2023 around the time she was rescued by Saving Hope, plus overcoming heartworms and a bad respiratory virus that nearly took her life. Marjorie is stronger and healthier than ever now; her puppies found homes, now she is eagerly waiting for hers! She does wonderfully in her crate at night and during the day when her foster mom is at work. As she is not destructive, once she is settled into her forever home (generally 3 weeks to 3 months depending on the dog), she can be left out of her kennel. As with so many dogs, she is naturally nervous in new situations, and thus needs continued work on building confidence. She thrives with clear direction from her person and positive feedback when she does the right thing – she tries her very best to follow all the rules! She has the cutest tippy-tap dance when excited, waiting for a treat, or when she’s working on a skill. While there are no children in her current foster home, she loves everyone and would likely do well with children 10+ as she appreciates her space being respected and a calm household would help her adjust faster.Marjorie loves nothing more than to keep busy managing squirrels and lizards in the yard. This is her main energy outlet currently, so a backyard would be ideal. She needs at least a 6-foot tall fence when off leash because this girl is athletic… anyone want an agility dog? She might be it! She exhibits prey drive tendencies so cats, small dogs or other small animals are not a good fit. She takes breaks to sunbathe and would be content to do this nonstop, but she listens well when it’s time to come inside.Marjorie is threshold trained and is working on leash skills for walks using a prong collar and cues/guidance to walk alongside her human. She gets excited at the sight of other creatures but will sit on command until her person is ready to go. When it’s time to rest, she is very respectful of furniture but if she is invited up, she will be more than happy to cuddle.Marjorie is very quiet unless she is barking at a squirrel or playing with her foster brother, who she has become quite close to (a boxer/pit bull mix). She is somewhat dog selective and has some resource guarding tendencies surrounding speci

Story
Meet Roscoe!Roscoe is a 1–2 year old heeler mix who is equal parts adorable, playful, and… currently taking Intro to “How to Be a Dog 101.”This handsome guy has the kind of face that makes people stop mid-sentence and say, “WAIT—look at him.” The speckles, the ears, the expressions? Truly a work of art. And to top it off, he’s the perfect size—right in that sweet spot where he’s not too big, not too small, just right for couch sharing and adventure tagging-along.Roscoe can be a little unsure at first, like he’s reading the room and making sure he understands the assignment. But once he warms up, his playful, friendly side starts to shine through—and it’s very worth the wait. He’s already house trained and crate trained (overachiever behavior), and he’s continuing to learn how to “dog” with each passing day. Toys? Fun. People? Pretty cool. Life? Still being figured out, but he’s making solid progress. He’s got that classic heeler energy, so he’d love a home that can give him some playtime, a little guidance, and the chance to keep building his confidence at his own pace.If you’re looking for a perfectly-sized, ridiculously cute pup who just needs a little patience and a lot of love while he blossoms, Roscoe might be your guy.Adopt Roscoe—because watching a good dog figure out how to be a great one is kind of the best thing ever.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Charlotte! Charlotte is the sweetest 3 year-old Australian Cattle dog mix you’ll ever meet. She is house and crate trained, and uses the doggy door like it was invented just for her. She absolutely loves attention and will soak up all the pets and cuddles you can give. She’s a smart girl who enjoys learning and is currently working on her leash skills. She has been spayed and is current with all her vaccines.Charlotte loves a good game of chase with the squirrels as they scurry along our fence. She would thrive in a home where she can get regular exercise and mental stimulation. A yard or space to run would be a big bonus! She would be fine as the only dog in the home. Because of her activity level an apartment would not be the best fit.Charlotte has such a loving and loyal nature and will make a wonderful companion. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Meet Mika! This fun-loving 7 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix is the perfect blend of playfulness and companionship. She’s both kennel and house trained, making her an easy fit for a loving home.Mika isn’t a fan of cats but would do well with calm, larger dogs—or she’d be just as content as your one-and-only pet.
