Story
Meet Luna! Luna is 2yo (36lbs) in need of a loving home. I have taken her to be thoroughly checked out by a vet - clean bill of health, fully vaccinated & is on flea/tick/heart worm prevention meds Luna has been a great mom! She’s very sweet, not food aggressive, I haven’t heard her bark once, she’s good with other dogs - shy at first but warms up quickly, you can touch her anywhere without any reaction. She’s hesitant being picked up but again you won’t get a reaction other than her naturally wanting to stay on the ground. She loves attention & being close & does fine in a kennel for a decent amount of hours. I can’t say she’s fully potty trained but since I’ve had her I let her roam freely inside my house & she hasn’t had an accident, I can open the door & she will handle her business outside. As of now she is no longer nursing, she is still lactating but her breast will shrink down in the next 3-5 weeks (per vet).

Story
This gorgeous girl is compact and full of love. She is quiet and mild mannered. She looks bigger in picture than she actually is. She is the size of a heeler. She is about 30lbs. She is still getting used to shelter life so she is still scared but will come to you when you hold your hand out to pet her. SO FAR, she doesn't seem to mind the other dogs and just wants to be loved on. We are working on leash walking now, as she will walk for a minute and then freeze up and we have to carry her. She needs a place to run and play and really come out of her shell

Story
Dalton, a sweet 3-year-old Blue Heeler mix who has had a tough start to life. He is a bit scared and unsure of new people and new situations, which can cause him to become nippy. But don't let that fool you! Underneath his fear is a loving and loyal dog who just needs a patient and understanding owner to help him build his confidence.Dalton has a lot of potential and with time, patience, and proper training, he will become a wonderful companion. He needs an adopter who is willing to work with him and help him overcome his fears. Positive reinforcement training methods will be the key to helping Blue feel safe and secure in his new home. He has shown great progress when working with our junior volunteers over the age of 8, but he still needs a low stress home where he can feel safe and secure. With his beautiful coat and bright, curious eyes, Dalton is sure to capture your heart. He loves to play and go for walks, but can sometimes be timid around new people or loud noises. He would do best in a quiet, low-stress home with a patient and understanding owner who can give him the love and support he needs to flourish. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who just needs a little extra TLC, Dalton may be the perfect match for you. With your help and guidance, he will become a confident and happy dog who will always be by your side. Curious to find out more about Dalton? Meet Lucki, a confident Cattle dog mix always on the lookout for his person. He is the perfect size at 40 lbs for any home with a play area. Don’t forget about treats either as this guy would do anything for a tasty milk bone! Although he prefers to be with his person, he does get along with most dogs.Lucki is crate and housetrained, He can walk on a leash pretty well, and is trying to work on being more social! Story
Meet Paloma, a stunning and intelligent adult Cattle Dog/Collie mix with the athleticism and independence to match her beauty! This girl is the definition of a strong, confident lady, and she’s always ready for an adventure—whether it’s a game of fetch with her larger, playmate pals or a good ol’ squirrel-chasing session in the yard.Paloma’s a dream when it comes to house and crate training. She’s well-mannered in the home, although she’ll need to learn the specific rules of her forever family. She’s got no problem sharing a blankie and snuggling up in bed—she’s a quiet, respectful bed buddy who loves being close to her humans, but never takes over the space (she's too polite for that!).Car rides? Absolutely! And when she’s not on the road, you’ll often find Paloma perched at the highest point of the yard, keeping an eye out for any squirrels or cats that might be testing her boundary patrol skills. No one gets past her watchful gaze!Paloma’s ideal home would be with someone who can make her feel special—she’s a one-and-only type of gal, and she thrives on that close bond. She’s fine with a crate when necessary, but she prefers the company of her people. Expect her to be a devoted, loyal companion who will love you with all her heart. If you're looking for a smart, strong, and playful girl with a heart full of love to give, Paloma might just be the perfect match! She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you are interested in learning more about Paloma, please text Liz at 214-616-6128. Story
Raymond (formerly Nyx) is 8 months old and weigh in at 35lbs. He is pretty close to the size he will finish at. Raymond is friendly with EVERYONE, people and pets.He is crate trained, leash trained, knows "heel" and "go potty," will go up and down the kiddie slide, and is learning to jump through a hula hoop. He is a very smart boy and loves learning. Even the occasionally grumpy chihuahua in the house fell in love with him on his first day in the foster home (after showing her teethsies for about an hour). He is great at following cues. She told him he was too much puppy, so he settles down around her and they share the indoor/outdoor cushions.Raymond is the poster child for "great family dog."You will find our online application at www.shelter2rescue.org If you are interested in fostering a pet , please visit our website www.shelter2rescue.org to fill out an application

Story
Meet Hannah! Hannah is a shy and timid girl who is 2 years old and searching for someone who can give her lots of patience and love. Hannah was rescued from a severe hoarding case, so she had a rough start in life. She recently completed several training sessions and has come a long way. She would benefit from an experienced dog lover who can continue to invest in her training. Hannah is incredibly smart, crate-friendly, walks well on a leash, dog/cat friendly, and rarely barks. She`s mostly potty-trained, so a fenced-in backyard and someone who is often home would keep accidents to a minimum. She`s a beautiful girl and will make a wonderful companion for someone. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Pecos is 2 years old. He is calm, cuddly, and friendly. He was previously a foster and gets along well with other animals. He loves to play and cuddle. He does get a bit of separation anxiety so someone who is home often or has a large and comfortable space for him to play in while away is perfect. Perfect for families or families with other dogs. Very much “man’s best friend” kind of dog. Loyal and very well trained.

Story
I found Finn on a back East Texas road at 8pm at night back in November. Based on the shape he was in and his behavior, Im pretty sure he had been dumped there a couple weeks prior. He is the sweetest dog and initially integrated very well with the rest of my pack (which includes a 70lbs alpha female, two chihuahuas under 5lbs, a 50lbs intact male, and an altered 50lbs male). Finn was a bit of a grump with my unaltered male initially (hes always been fine with my older male) and its gotten to the point where my male has had enough and is started to go after Finn. At this point its escalated enough that I cant keep Finn even though Id like to. He was 40lbs when I found him but he needs to be closer to 45lbs (we are slowly getting there!). Since Ive had him Ive gotten him up to date on shots, dewormed, on heartworm meds, and neutered. Id say hes about 90% housetrained but he does have accidents if you go too long without taking him out (I'm talking HOURS). He's very loving.
