Story
Meet the Handsome Jake II! He is a 2-year-old, 60lb Blue Heeler, with black, grey, and a touch of tan. Our family picked him up in Canton, TX a little over 2yrs ago. He has been an inside family member from day one. He is very affectionate with our children. Jake is a very energetic and loving pup who loves to run and play. He always keeps an eye on where everyone is. He is glued to everyone's hip to make sure we are supervised. He loves to jump up and give hugs but at the end of the day he is fine laying next to you for some rest. He does not get along with other large dogs and currently lives with us. He is currently having food aggression as well as aggression with toys. Jake likes to cuddle up with his humans which is me sitting on my chair and him laying next to me. An ideal home for Jake would be one with no other animals or someone who is highly experienced with Healers. Jake is crate/leash/house trained and knows his basic obedience commands. He is one smart pup! This amazing pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt Jake II today! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Jake II, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Chili is a heeler mix who was found wandering out and about by a Good Samaritan. When this kind soul offered Chili a ride, she never looked back and away they went! Chili's new friend really wanted to keep Chili, but her dog had other ideas and it soon became clear that Chili would do better in another home. Chili is microchipped and attempts were made to contact her original owner, but that person never responded. We suspect that's because Chili is deaf. However, she's also smart as a whip and eager to please. Her foster mom has been able to teach Chili many commands using sign language and would be happy to share what she knows with any potential adopter. Chili is playful and silly and loving and would be a great addition to any family that has a little time and patience to continue her training. She's been around lots of older kids at a riding stable, where she spends her days, and has been well-mannered with all of them. She has a couple of dog buddies, too, but kitties aren't her thing. Chili is happy and healthy and would love to live her best life with someone like you. Please consider opening your heart and home to this beautiful puppy who has so much to offer. You'll be glad you did. For more information, please TEXT Mary at 214-783-2060 and she'll call you back!

These pups are in Dallas, Texas too!

Story
Meet Ruger – Your New Best Friend! Are you a fan of Aussies? Then Ruger, at only 42 pounds and 3 years old, might just be the perfect match for you! This handsome, intelligent Australian Shepherd came to us as a stray after his previous owner never claimed him from a small shelter. Despite that, he’s proven to be a resilient and loving dog, ready for a fresh start in a forever home. At first, Ruger was understandably anxious in his foster home, but day by day, his sweet, smart, and playful personality has blossomed. Now, he’s a bundle of joy and energy! Ruger would love to have another playful dog or kids to romp around with. If you have a big backyard, that's a bonus—Ruger adores playing in sprinklers and will happily engage in a game of fetch (when he’s in the mood, of course!). More than anything, Ruger loves being close to his people. Whether you're inside or outside, he’ll stick by your side, always ready to be your loyal companion. He’s also quite the quick learner—he mastered the doggie door in just one day and hasn’t marked in the house. He does well in the car, loves walks, and loves to chase squirrels. At night, Ruger sleeps quietly in his crate, though he'd be thrilled to snuggle up with you if given the chance. If you’re looking for a smart, loyal, and loving dog, Ruger is ready to bring joy and companionship into your life. Could you be the family he's been waiting for? We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Meet Arlo â&#194&#128&#194&#147 Your Goofy and Playful Best Friend! Arlo is a 14-month-old Australian Shepherd with a big heart and lots of energy! Weighing around 40 lbs, he is playful, affectionate, and loves making new dog friends at daycare and the park. He enjoys belly rubs, chasing toys, and going for long walks. Arlo is healthy, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations, ready to find his forever home! Arlo is friendly with all dogs and loves to play. He is smart and highly trainable, especially when food is involved! He already knows sit, lay, spin, shake, and more, and even completed a two-week professional training program, where he did great around farm animals like horses, chickens, and cats. At home, Arlo is extremely protective of his space, but once he knows you, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s your best friend for life. He is fully potty-trained, crate-trained (and loves his crate!), and walks well on a leash. He may get excited when seeing other dogs on walks, but with a little guidance, he settles down and walks calmly. Because he can be protective, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d do best in a home without young children or frequent visitors. Griffin, Griff, Lil Griff, Griffyâ&#194&#128¦whatever you call himâ&#194&#128¦just call him yours! Griffin is a one year old, medium sized, moderate energy male dog who is not quite a boy but still not quite a man. He can be a little shy and timid initially but once he is comfortable, you are in for a treat! Griffy is a cuddle bug but still has the energy to get those super entertaining puppy zoomies out in the yard. He plays well with others and would likely be happy in a home with another gentle dog who he can play with and learn from. He has been left alone in the house and he is not destructive, but is also happy staying in a crate or kennel while you are out. Lil Griff would like a patient and calm household with humans who are willing to help him come out of his shell. He loves toys and treats and is ready to learn some new tricks to earn both! All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
