Pepper is an American Cattle Dog who survived on the streets by eating garbage (and probably begging for food by batting her pretty eyelashes at passers-by) until a kind person stopped and picked her up one day. For a dog with a rough start in life, Pepper is a happy, healthy, friendly girl. She is housetrained and loves to play, and play, and play. This dog is very smart and active, and would not do well as an only dog unless her family is home a lot of able to take her with them. Her ideal home is probably someone with a ranch where she can tag along while you do chores all day, but she'd also love a home with a big easygoing dog who likes to wrestle and play a lot, or someone who wants to play flyball or do agility with her (she can jump HIGH!). She can be a bit annoying to older or very small dogs, although it's only because she wants to play with them. Pepper is very devoted to her people, loves to snuggle with you at night, and she is reluctantly learning that the crate is not so bad (treats help!). She is a great dog for an active home!
