Story
Nitro was abandoned in March and was scheduled to be euthanized through our local animal control. But we just couldnt let that happen. Not to such a sweet boy. He is really the best rescue we couldve found. He is house broken, crate trained, great with kids and other dogs. He just needs a family to love. We transport all over the US.

Story
Please read the pet description IN IT'S ENTIRETY before applying.  Thank you for your cooperation. NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 2/14/2025:  Mardipaw - female - approx 7 months (approx DOB 7/14/2024) - 23.12 pounds - Australian Cattle Dog Reason for intake:  Mardipaw landed herself at Bossier City Animal Control.  They asked for our help and we took her in.  What a gorgeous and SWEET dog... she rolls on her back for belly rubs.  Just precious!  She has some dangling rear dew claws that we'll have removed when she is spayed, along with everything else.  She's heading to our vet the week of 2/17/2025.  Stay tuned! NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS:  Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed.  Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining.   In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason.  We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption.  In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered.  Please note…  we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.  Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.  We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”  ~ Gandhi Be responsible ~  Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life.  Blessings.
