Story
Meet Hannah! Hannah is a shy and timid girl who is 2 years old and searching for someone who can give her lots of patience and love. Hannah was rescued from a severe hoarding case, so she had a rough start in life. She recently completed several training sessions and has come a long way. She would benefit from an experienced dog lover who can continue to invest in her training. Hannah is incredibly smart, crate-friendly, walks well on a leash, dog/cat friendly, and rarely barks. She`s mostly potty-trained, so a fenced-in backyard and someone who is often home would keep accidents to a minimum. She`s a beautiful girl and will make a wonderful companion for someone. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Kaida! I`m Kaida, a spirited and playful 7 month old Australian Cattle Dog/Beagle/Chihuahua mix searching for my forever home!I`m already house-trained and have mastered the doggy door like a little pro! I absolutely adore being around humans and playing with other dogs - it`s my favorite pastime! Having a confident fur-sibling will help me to keep me socialized lots & gain more confidence myself.I`ve got typical puppy energy, so I`ll need some playtime, activities & more training to keep me entertained. I am learning new things everyday like Sit, Stay, paw and more.It only takes me about 5 minutes to warm up to new friends, but once I do, I`m ready to be your loyal companion! I`m super food motivated and eager to please, making training a breeze! With just a little redirection, I`m quick to learn.I`m used to having my feedings in a crate and sleep in my crate like a big girl! Could you be the loving family I`ve been dreaming of?To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
Meet Marjorie! Marjorie is a beautiful brindle pit bull mix, about 42 pounds, at 2 years old, and is so deserving of a forever home! She has been through a lot in her short life including being a wonderful mama to a 9-pup litter in the fall of 2023 around the time she was rescued by Saving Hope, plus overcoming heartworms and a bad respiratory virus that nearly took her life. Marjorie is stronger and healthier than ever now; her puppies found homes, now she is eagerly waiting for hers! She does wonderfully in her crate at night and during the day when her foster mom is at work. As she is not destructive, once she is settled into her forever home (generally 3 weeks to 3 months depending on the dog), she can be left out of her kennel. As with so many dogs, she is naturally nervous in new situations, and thus needs continued work on building confidence. She thrives with clear direction from her person and positive feedback when she does the right thing – she tries her very best to follow all the rules! She has the cutest tippy-tap dance when excited, waiting for a treat, or when she’s working on a skill. While there are no children in her current foster home, she loves everyone and would likely do well with children 10+ as she appreciates her space being respected and a calm household would help her adjust faster.Marjorie loves nothing more than to keep busy managing squirrels and lizards in the yard. This is her main energy outlet currently, so a backyard would be ideal. She needs at least a 6-foot tall fence when off leash because this girl is athletic… anyone want an agility dog? She might be it! She exhibits prey drive tendencies so cats, small dogs or other small animals are not a good fit. She takes breaks to sunbathe and would be content to do this nonstop, but she listens well when it’s time to come inside.Marjorie is threshold trained and is working on leash skills for walks using a prong collar and cues/guidance to walk alongside her human. She gets excited at the sight of other creatures but will sit on command until her person is ready to go. When it’s time to rest, she is very respectful of furniture but if she is invited up, she will be more than happy to cuddle.Marjorie is very quiet unless she is barking at a squirrel or playing with her foster brother, who she has become quite close to (a boxer/pit bull mix). She is somewhat dog selective and has some resource guarding tendencies surrounding speci

Story
*MISTY* / 4 yrs old, female cattle dog mix / Heartworm positive --crate trained & housetrained --spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm positive & on treatment --LOVES LOVE! Very dog friendly, but wants to be the only dog & get lots of one-on-one attention. Her ideal home is one without dogs or young kids. --*Must have a completely fenced-in yard with a tall fence and should not be left unsupervised in the yard for more than a few minutes. Misty is quite athletic; she can scale an 8-ft fence with ease, and she loves the workout that digging provides. Misty's journey began as a street dog, but she managed to overcome adversity and raise a beautiful litter of six puppies, all of whom have found loving homes. She has been living with a foster and learning all about the comforts and expectations of living in a home. Misty thrives on human companionship and would benefit from having someone present during the day. If you have a flexible schedule, work from home, or can arrange for consistent human interaction, Misty will feel secure and content knowing there's someone there to support her. While Misty does enjoy the company of children, she would prefer a calm and gentle environment. Non-rambunctious kids who understand and respect her boundaries will be able to form a special bond with Misty. She is heartworm-positive and on treatment. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up-to-date on vaccines, deworming, heartworm tested, a supply of heartworm preventative, and microchip. Story
Meet Geneva!Geneva is one of the sweetest dogs her foster family has ever met. She currently lives with another dog and two young children, fitting right in with both. Playful and affectionate, Geneva loves spending time with her people and responds well to directions. She is house-trained and would do great in a home with or without another dog.Her foster family found her abandoned on the side of the road after she had been hit by a car. With lots of care and love, she made a full recovery, even undergoing hip replacement surgery. Now, she runs and plays just like any other 1 year old dog. However, it’s recommended to be mindful around much larger or aggressive dogs to ensure she stays safe. This sweet, resilient girl is ready for a forever family that can give her all the love and time she needs. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step.
