Story
Meet Marjorie! Marjorie is a beautiful brindle pit bull mix, about 42 pounds, at 2 years old, and is so deserving of a forever home! She has been through a lot in her short life including being a wonderful mama to a 9-pup litter in the fall of 2023 around the time she was rescued by Saving Hope, plus overcoming heartworms and a bad respiratory virus that nearly took her life. Marjorie is stronger and healthier than ever now; her puppies found homes, now she is eagerly waiting for hers! She does wonderfully in her crate at night and during the day when her foster mom is at work. As she is not destructive, once she is settled into her forever home (generally 3 weeks to 3 months depending on the dog), she can be left out of her kennel. As with so many dogs, she is naturally nervous in new situations, and thus needs continued work on building confidence. She thrives with clear direction from her person and positive feedback when she does the right thing – she tries her very best to follow all the rules! She has the cutest tippy-tap dance when excited, waiting for a treat, or when she’s working on a skill. While there are no children in her current foster home, she loves everyone and would likely do well with children 10+ as she appreciates her space being respected and a calm household would help her adjust faster.Marjorie loves nothing more than to keep busy managing squirrels and lizards in the yard. This is her main energy outlet currently, so a backyard would be ideal. She needs at least a 6-foot tall fence when off leash because this girl is athletic… anyone want an agility dog? She might be it! She exhibits prey drive tendencies so cats, small dogs or other small animals are not a good fit. She takes breaks to sunbathe and would be content to do this nonstop, but she listens well when it’s time to come inside.Marjorie is threshold trained and is working on leash skills for walks using a prong collar and cues/guidance to walk alongside her human. She gets excited at the sight of other creatures but will sit on command until her person is ready to go. When it’s time to rest, she is very respectful of furniture but if she is invited up, she will be more than happy to cuddle.Marjorie is very quiet unless she is barking at a squirrel or playing with her foster brother, who she has become quite close to (a boxer/pit bull mix). She is somewhat dog selective and has some resource guarding tendencies surrounding speci

Story
Meet Roscoe!Roscoe is a 1–2 year old heeler mix who is equal parts adorable, playful, and… currently taking Intro to “How to Be a Dog 101.”This handsome guy has the kind of face that makes people stop mid-sentence and say, “WAIT—look at him.” The speckles, the ears, the expressions? Truly a work of art. And to top it off, he’s the perfect size—right in that sweet spot where he’s not too big, not too small, just right for couch sharing and adventure tagging-along.Roscoe can be a little unsure at first, like he’s reading the room and making sure he understands the assignment. But once he warms up, his playful, friendly side starts to shine through—and it’s very worth the wait. He’s already house trained and crate trained (overachiever behavior), and he’s continuing to learn how to “dog” with each passing day. Toys? Fun. People? Pretty cool. Life? Still being figured out, but he’s making solid progress. He’s got that classic heeler energy, so he’d love a home that can give him some playtime, a little guidance, and the chance to keep building his confidence at his own pace.If you’re looking for a perfectly-sized, ridiculously cute pup who just needs a little patience and a lot of love while he blossoms, Roscoe might be your guy.Adopt Roscoe—because watching a good dog figure out how to be a great one is kind of the best thing ever.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Usher — the four-legged headliner you didn’t know you needed.Usher is a10-month-old Terrier mix with big energy, a bigger personality, and main-character confidence. Born to a mama named Madonna (icon status confirmed), he’s clearly destined for stardom — but he’s not riding anyone’s coattails. This boy is crate trained, house trained, leash trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He’s smart, eager to please, and loves learning new commands.Usher is playful, goofy, and delightfully clumsy. He lives for swimming, morning walks, afternoon play sessions, and meeting the neighborhood kids at the bus stop. He adores other dogs and would happily have a canine sibling, but with an active family and plenty of toys, he could also thrive as the only pup.Favorite hobbies include sticks, golf cart rides, toys, treats, lake days, deer watching, squirrel surveillance, and perfecting his signature excited butt wiggle. He loves adventures — whether that’s tagging along to work, lounging on a coffee shop patio, or diving into the backyard pool. The resident cat currently provides top-tier chase entertainment, but with consistent guidance and a confident feline, he could likely learn to coexist.Usher needs an active home that will embrace his zest for life — and once he’s burned off that puppy energy, he’s a champion couch napper and blanket snuggler. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate without a peep.If you’re looking for a joyful, adventurous, slightly chaotic best friend who will hype up your daily life and then crash beside you for cuddles, Usher is ready to take center stage. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Sheila!Hi there, my name is Sheila, I’m the coolest deaf dog in all the land. (It doesn’t slow me down) I am 2 1/2 yrs old, Australian Shepherd mix. Life is an absolute blast! I love everything and I’m always up for a good time from the moment I stretch my legs to the second I curl up for a nap. And let me tell you I’m no ordinary pup, I’m potty-trained, crate trained, use a doggy door. I love everyone from tiny humans to big humans. I love exploring the great outdoors, whether it’s going for a walk, a hike, or a jog with my human. Car rides are the bomb. And who can resist snuggling up for a good movie marathon. I’m dog friendly (when introduced properly) I would love a buddy that I can watch. (That’s how I get cues) I don’t think I could live with a cat, chickens, ferrets or rabbits, because I have a very high prey drive. If you think you have a buddy and you’re looking for a very loyal friend why don’t we meet?To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Charlie is a very sweet and energetic dog. She loves being around people and playing with kids. Charlie does have a little bit of separation anxiety. Unfortunately I do not have the time or space for her to play and really enjoy life. I just want her to go to a good home.
