Story
This fella is Miguel! Miguel and his 3 siblings ended up at the county Animal Control as small puppies. They came to Animal Harbor in January of 2024 and have been with us ever since. All puppies in this litter are happy go lucky pups that are super social and just want love! Miguel is an 11 month old male Cattle Dog Mix and is 32lbs.All pets that are adopted out of Animal Harbor are fully vetted. This means they are spayed/neutered and receive a Rabies, yearly vaccinations, preventatives for heartworms as well as flea/tick, and microchipped along with any additional vetting required to keep them healthy and happy. Dogs/puppies 6 months and above are all heartworm tested (and treated if needed) and all cats/kittens are combo tested for Feline Leukemia and AIDS. If you have other pets in the home, Animal Harbor recommends bringing them to meet and greets. All pets go through a foster to adopt trial process to ensure a successful adoption!

Story
This boy was surrendered due to his owner being away from home too much. Dax needs a place to run out his energy and have fun. He loves to play so will need an active family. He is a good boy who wants to please his family. He is a bit shy but we are working with him to be a bit more outgoing. He just needs a family to work with him and give him the routine he needs. He will need to relearn house-training and probably other puppy basics. He is located in Tennessee but has Rescue Riders to transport him to his new family.

Story
These babies were brought to us after a lady’s neighbor left the pregnant mama. She kept the mom but could not keep her babies. This is a fun group of pups! They aren't very loud, do not bark a bunch unless playing. They do well in a crate, usually just go to sleep. Very sweet group that would do well with any type of family. They will probably do well with some exercise but a yard isn’t necessary if walked enough. They would do well on hikes or other outside adventures.

Story
We think this cute girl is a mix between a red heeler and some sort of terrier. She is only around 25lbs and still spunky. She has energy and loves to play. She is great with other dogs. She sometimes tries to chase the cat in her foster home. She was mainly kept outside, so if you want her to be an indoor dog, she still needs a little work with her potty training. She would also do great with activity toys when you're gone so she doesn't get bored.

Story
Morty is most likely a 2021 model. We were curious about his genetic makeup so we did an Embark DNA test on him and he is 50% Australian Cattle Dog, 13% Rottweiler, and some other mixes stirred in. As a Cattle Dog, he is athletic and wants to herd things, including dog buddies, which they don't tend to like. He does well with one other pet, preferably a female, his size and energy level, or older dogs that just ignore him wanting to play. He loves walks and does well on a leash. He could be a great jogging companion. He is very focused on his people and honestly gets jealous. He can be an attention hog. He will learn anything for a treat or a pat on the head. He loves toys and fetch. He still occasionally jumps up to say hi, so small children may not be for him. He is fully vetted, neutered and chipped. Are you his family? Story
My name is Tyler Brennan. My wife, Melanie, and I recently welcomed our first child into our home. Unfortunately, our dog, Sandy Par, goes by Sandy, is unable to overcome her natural instincts and we are in need of surrendering her to a new home. Sandy was rescued from the Huntsville Animal Shelter in October of 21'. We were told she was around 2 at that time. Sandy is a very smart dog, a great companion, crate trained, and definitely a worker. She loves going on long walks, playing, and her space. She would be a great fit for an active individual or childless family or a home with some acreage where she can run. We can provide the new family with her crates, toys, food and medicine. If there is space available please contact me at (xxx) xxx-xxxx or Melanie at (xxx) xxx-xxxx .
