Trouve is the sweetest girl! She has been with us about 3 weeks and has settled into our family nicely. She loves her people and enjoys snuggling. She plays well with our Rat Terrier mix and has enjoyed meeting our neighbors. She is looking for her permanent family. Could it be you?Trouve details1-2 years old25 poundsFriendly and lovable to all people that she has metLoves to play and be with our dogNo exposure to cats, so don't know about thatCrate trained and sleeps quietly in it all night. She loves everyone she meets. Very smart and want to please, already learned sit, down, shake. Walks great on a leashSweet Trouvè is looking for her forever family. 1-2 years old, good with everyone she has met, crate and house trained. I tried to show her coloring in the close up. Her eyelashes and whiskers on the brown side of her face are dark. The eyelashes and whiskers on the white side are white. It is the cutest thingTrouvé is about 18 months old. She weighs 25 lbs and is suspected to be a Heeler-Jack Mix. She is crate trained and house trained. She knows a couple of commands.  She is obsessed with toys and loves to play. She is high energy - not a cuddle bug at least yet - but she has been through a lot, so that's understandable. Found by our behavior vet in Johnson City, TN. The owners were found and admitted to abandoning her. She has been recently vetted and spayed. Trouvé is a dream and Doc would love to keep her but has 2 older dogs in the home who are grumpy and have vetoed this as an option. Trouvé means "found" in French. Maybe you prefer Truvee like Dolly Parton's character in Steel Magnolias? Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step. Story
Meet JosieJosie is an Aussie mix.  She has been trained and knows all of the commands. Eager to learn she became an emotional support girl.  This all sounds great until her mom got 2 new tiny puppies. We all know the story to well, in with the new and out with the old.  The puppies were allowed to chase and nip at her. She defended herself with growling and was surrendered. Saved from the pound and euthanasia, Josie is needing a new home or foster home. She is very scared in boarding. She lost her warm home and was taken to a shelter. Poor girl. Josie has done well in an adult home. At this time she needs to be an only dog. She would love to have a big backyard and a warm bed again. www.russellrescuetn.comPlease share and help Josie to find a family.November 5, 2024, 12:34 am

Story
Please contact Vivienne (viviennejames@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Meet Miss Princess!  This 8 year old 30 lbs gem had a horrible life prior to joining the Cavalry.  She was part of a hoarding case where the family had way too many dogs and could not properly take care of them.  Because of this Princess and her doggie family ended up in a rural Tennessee shelter.  She was a thin has could be and very weak.  Miss Cheryl and her mom Ruth felt sorry for her and decided to rescue her.  An immediate trip to the vet was scheduled.  Princess was diagnosed with long term untreated diabetes.  This was the reason she was so thin.  What a sham that no one noticed the symptoms but them.  Poor Princess almost died.  Her vet was truly amazed that she lived.  Her diabetes is now under control and she has gained weight.  Princess is one of the sweetest dogs ever.  She is a true love bug and so very grateful for the love and care she has received.  She is thriving and would make someone a great pet.  Unfortunately as a result of the diabetes Princess has limited vision.  She is amazing though.  After she gets the 'lay of the land' you would never know it.  She does not bump into things and can navigate stairs up and down.  It truly is amazing.  She is a very loving dog who just wants to be with her people.  If you want a canine shadow then she is the one for you.  Despite her lack of vision, Princess enjoys walking and you would never know her sight is limited.  She is a dog that you could take any where.  Princess loves to ride in the car an is always up for a trip just about any where.  She has been on several with her foster family.  She is housebroken and crate trained.  She is also trained to sit patiently snacking on a baby carrot when it is shot time.  The distraction of the carrot does the trick so giving the insulin shot is not a problem.  She is good with other dogs her size and age but not young rambunctious puppies or dogs.  She would also be fine as an only dog.  She would be happy to soak up all the attention.  If you would like to give a home to a wonderful special needs dog, Princess is the one for you.  To be considered for her forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  November 3, 2024, 10:10 pm
