Tank is neutered. Tank will make a great family dog! He is so sweet and playful, but more on the lazy side compared with his siblings. He can be shy at first, but warms up quickly! He would do best in a home with a fence, or a home with property. Tank has a pretty clear understanding of a crate and going potty outside. Story
Hi! My name is Destiny!! I’m a spunky girl that loves to run and play! Though my FAVORITE thing to do is lay my head on you and get belly rubs! If you put a treat in smelling distance, I’ll show you all the awesome things I can do like sit, down, place, and I’ll even come right to you when you give me the release command! I’m a super smart girl. I really don’t know why I haven’t been adopted yet, I was found as a stray 2 YEARS ago and was brought to a humane society in Mississippi, where I sat for a year, until a wonderful rescue in Tennessee took the chance and brought me up to Tennessee in hopes to find a home! My care takers have been doing everything they can to find the right home for me, but unfortunately I’ve been in rescue over a year now. I do love to play with my medium/large breed doggie friends, I like that we can wrestle and tumble around! I try to get kitties and little dogs to rough it up with us big dogs, but I get to rough with them and I would do best in a home with other medium/large breed dogs! I even do good with kids 10+! I would love to join your family if you think I’d fit your lifestyle!! I’ll be the bestest girl, just give me a chance! Krazy For K9’s Rescue, Inc Located in oak ridge tn Transport available to approved homes!

Story
Sully, what a great boy! He may be around 2 years old but we think he is more like a "perma-puppy". He still has puppy-like playfulness and joy about him. He is friendly and very playful and wants to romp and run with other dogs. Sully is still learning how to be a confident dog, but we think once he settles into his new home he will blossom. Having a friendly dog companion to show him the ropes may be a huge plus for Sully, and would help him feel more secure and comfortable in his new home. Drop by the shelter to say hello or fill out an application here, http://tinyurl.com/ORAS-Adoption-Application Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black Weight: 49.5 Age: 2yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation.  We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve.  Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable.  Adopting a friend:The animals, lucky enough to find refuge with Almost Home, are all in loving foster homes. If you are interested in the possibility of giving one of the animals a new lease on life, please contact us. The contact information is listed at the end of each biography.  What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes.  Hi there! I’m America, a two to three year old Australian Shepherd with a loving heart and a gentle spirit. I’m great with kids and love spending my time playing and snuggling with them. I’m the kind of dog who’s just as happy playing as I am relaxing by your side. All I need is a family who will give me the love and care I’ve been waiting for. There’s just one little quirk about me: I’m not a fan of chickens. For some reason, they really ruffle my fur, so a chicken-free home is definitely the best fit for me. I’m also hoping to find a home with my best friend, Yukon. She’s a sweet American Staffordshire Terrier mix, and we’ve been inseparable through all the ups and downs. We’re an amazing pair, and if you’ve got room in your heart for two dogs, I know we’d make your life twice as fun and full of love! Here’s the catch—our situation is urgent. The shelter we were in had to close down after the director was fired, and now we’re left without a permanent place to call home. A kind woman has opened up her property to help the animals in our community, but we can’t stay here forever. Yukon and I need a forever family who can give us the love and care we deserve. I know times are tough, but if you’ve got room in your heart and home for a loyal, loving companion (or two!), please consider giving me (and maybe Yukon!) a chance. I’m ready to be your new best friend, bringing energy, smiles, and a whole lot of tail wags to your life. With love and paws,America & Yukon *Guest Posting**Yukon is in the second picture If you would like to meet your new best friend, contact the Adoption Coordinator at info@almosthometn.org or 865-236-0830. To fill out an application, go to www.almosthometn.org. If you can't get it to work, tell us and we will email it to you. Adoption fee $150ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for a cat is $85. The adoption fee for a kitten is $100. The adoption fee does include the kittens being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. The adoption fee for a puppy is $250. The adoption fee does include the puppies being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. Mature pet adoption fees are sometimes reduced. The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. We do reserve the right to change the fees higher or lower due to the circumstance of the animal but what was stated above are the usual adoption fees.  Microchipped pets will have a higher adoption fee.  Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of the vetting and care the animal has received with us and if it ever does, the money just goes back it to helping other animals in need. November 1, 2024, 8:13 pm
