Codie - Codie is a 2 year old super sweet lab mix that has been in foster care his whole life, patiently waiting for his forever family. His sister, Roxxie, was with us as well, but she was adopted this past year to a wonderful family. Codie loves to go on walks and loves the dog park & being around other pups. He is very shy at first with humans and other pups, but it just takes him a little time to warm up. He just has to make sure he can trust you. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He loves snacks and cheese. That's the way to his heart. He is fully crate trained and potty trained. If there was ever a dog that was autistic, I believe Codie to be. He is so smart and has really come out of his shelter but it really does take time. He would love to live in his kennel if I would let him, but I won't. It's going to take a special family who will take the time with him. He would thrive with another pup to lead the way. He follows Snoop around and steals all the toys and loves to grab things in the house to take to his kennel. 😂 If you are missing something, he usually has it. He is so sweet and so funny. Meet Calico 🐾❤️ All I can say is that Calico is perfect. She raised her litter of eight puppies and did a terrific job. Her teeth are white and sparkly so we guess her age to be about 2 or 3. She is a good size at forty two pounds. She could be a shepherd mix with maybe some heeler. That could explain her speckled legs. Calico just completed heartworm treatment and is ready to find her forever home. She is pleasant, kind, loving, and easy going. Of course Calico goes to the bathroom outside and walks well on a leash. No crate needed here, she has perfect house manners. She doesn't mind car rides either. Calico has been living with 11 other dogs and 4 cats. Sure she might chase a cat if it runs, but I consider her cat friendly. She likes to fetch and play with toys. She also likes to lay next to her human for naps and bedtime. She greets neighborhood children and guests with her tail wagging. If you are looking for the ideal adult dog then Calico is your girl. Meet Redmont, an Australian Cattle Dog/Pittie mix named after the Birmingham neighborhood he wandered as a stray dog for at least a week, capturing the attention of all the residents. After outsmarting many neighbors who tried to catch him, he was finally captured when he followed another dog into a fenced-in yard. Although he was very scared of humans at the time, his love of other dogs helped lead him to a better place. 🐾 He’s been in a foster home for 9 months now, and with the help of professional assistance and dedicated foster parents, he has transformed from a skiddish dog scared of humans into a dog who will approach people with his tail wagging.🐕‍🦺 His foster parents find it remarkable that even though he was so scared of them, he never once growled or snapped at them. He’s a very gentle, sweet dog who plays really well with the other dogs in his foster home. He would love to be adopted into a home with another dog, and would be fine with another dog who is more of the alpha. He’s looking for guidance from the other dogs around him, and he will walk away when another dog corrects him. He may look muscular and tough, but he’s really a softy. Redmont is estimated to be about a year and a half old. When he plays with other dogs, you can really see his youthful energy. But after playtime, he’s happy to chill and take a nap. This smart boy is completely house trained! Redmont loves going for walks, and walking was one of the biggest factors in his transformation. He is looking for an active family that loves walking as much as he does, and he would prefer a fenced-in yard where we can safely run and play. As you can see below, Tex LOVES water!!!! He thinks he is a fish!!! He loves play pools and if there's not a play pool, he will try to get in a 5gal bucket with his front paws. He's very playful and wants to be around people. Loves people! He has done well with our five dogs and a new barn cat. I would not recommend chickens. Sadly he wants to play with them! Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Hopkinton, MA Meet Dingo! He is an 10 year old Miniature American Shepherd and weighs 18 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Dingo is nervous around strangers! He hasn’t been tested around older children. No cats, dogs or younger children, due to his reactivity! Dingo nipped a dog sitter who tried to take his food away (he resource guards high value food). He also nipped a grandparent after he growled at the owner’s baby and the grandparent grabbed his collar to pull him away. Dingo had a TPLO on his left leg and some arthritis, so he is sensitive around his knees. He is currently on fluoxetine for his anxiety. Dingo is given an omega and glucosamine supplement. He is also on a course of doxycycline for a recent positive anaplasma test. The owner is surrendering him because he nipped two people. His reactivity has increased and the owner has younger children. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Olly is hostile around strangers! He is good with older children, cats, and dogs! He is nervous around younger children! He is housebroken, but isn’t crate-trained. Olly bit a woman while on a walk. This happened because she approached him and stuck his hand out too quickly. Olly has fear aggression (he didn’t have a great start in his previous home) and will need to continue further training on this. No children, cats or dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. He resource guards some items. Cookie is very smart! He loves to play and go for walks! Cookie bit the owner’s son when he was a puppy. Her son was trying to take toilet paper away from Cookie when it happened. He has bitten the owner when she has tried putting his leash on or taking it off of him. Cookie has bitten the owner while he was startled waking up from sleep. He has also bitten the owner’s husband on several occasions. He needs to be muzzled when he sees the veterinarian. The owner is surrendering him because of his bite incidents and being unpredictable. He is also reactive towards strangers, cars, and other dogs. They have worked with a trainer, but he hasn’t improved. He needs to go ASAP!
