Story
Meet Cookie, a spirited senior dog with a zest for life! Despite being about 8 years old, Cookie plays like a puppy and has a boundless love for the outdoors. She enjoys playing with balls, chasing squirrels, and has a special talent for playing soccer all by herself. Cookie was found as a stray in Little Rock, AR, and a kind Samaritan brought her to our rescue group, ArkanPaws. She has been living on our rescue farm for over a year now, and we're eager to find her the forever home she deserves. Cookie is independent and prefers solo play over interacting with other dogs. She has a very high prey drive, so she needs to be in a cat-free household. With her impressive mousing skills, Cookie would make a great addition to a farm, helping keep the rodent population in check. Fully vetted and on heartworm prevention, Cookie is ready to bring joy and excitement to her new home. Her adoption fee is $350, covering the cost of transport from Arkansas to New England. If you're looking for a playful, independent, and energetic companion, Cookie is the perfect match for you! Adopt Cookie and let her playful spirit brighten your days!         4o ##2097442##

Story
Curly is an adorable one-year-old Cattle Dog Mix who is eagerly looking for a forever home. With her calm and quiet demeanor, Curly has won the hearts of everyone she meets. She possesses a loving nature especially once she forms a bond with her human companions. Her foster mom has enjoyed taking care of her and has stated that her company was most endearing. They spend many nights cuddling as the foster works on her computer. Even though her foster mom will miss her, she knows Curly is ready for the next big step in her life in finding a loving family! How did Curly come into the ArkanPaws program? There is a video of her walking across a bridge with several other abandoned dogs in an area known for dumping unwanted pets. The ArkanPaws volunteer returned with live traps and by the next morning she was secured. At first, she was afraid and it took about one week to win her trust. She still is shy when initially meeting strangers but warms quickly when she feels safe.  One of Curly's most endearing qualities is her gentle and sweet nature. She approaches life with a relaxed attitude, always ready to take things at her own pace. While she may initially be reserved, it doesn't take long for her to warm up to people, and once she does, her affection knows no bounds. She enjoys being petted and following her person around the yard and house. How did Curly get here name? Her cute little tail is what she is named for! Her appearance is very unique with her dappled short coat and corkscrew like tail. Her coat sheds very little and is easy to maintain. Curly will do best with older kids who are eight years old and up. She’s learning to like toys and has a zest for treats. With proper interaction, she has the potential and curiosity to engage in play. She's doing very well with the cats in her foster home. Curly is curious, but does not advance, or act aggressive in any way with them.  She’s crate trained and still trying to master potty training. Her foster mom is working with her to walk on leash. She is fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, all core vaccinations, and has been examined by a licensed veterinarian. Her current weight is a healthy 38 pounds. Her adoption fee is $450, which covers her transport and all of the vetting she has received. She has been tested for heartworms and the result was negative. ArkanPaws is not licensed in the state of Massachusetts and unable to deliver there. ArkanPaws is a non-profit agency and all adoption fees supports other pets in need.  ##1771554##

Story
Hello, My name is Sammy. I have three brothers available for adoption. Our lives began being homeless with our human parents. We (our mom, dad, and siblings) lived in the back seat of a car. This is where we were born. Our human mom worked at Waffle House. Our foster mom went into the WH for breakfast one day and started talking to her waitress about dogs. That began everything.   Once our foster mom found out we were living in the backseat of the car, she started pursuing us babies, coming into rescue to get the type of homes we so deserve. So, here we are. I am incredibly handsome, neutered, leash-trained, and house-trained. I love to give hugs and get them, too. My ideal home is one where the family knows heeler herds, loves to go for walks and hikes, is active, but enjoys quiet time in front of a fireplace. I am ready to come home. Please request an application from alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. When you receive it, complete it thoroughly, including the email addresses of your three references. Story
Meet Hati! This good looking fella is estimated to be about a year old. He's a really playful pup who loves both toys and having the zoomies. Hati does like other dogs, but he does seem prefer females pup over other males. We don't know for sure what breed Hati is, but our best guess would be some type of cattle dog or a type herding breed. Hati would do best in a home with school aged kids and up and no cats.

Story
Meet LooLoo, a brave little 35-pound cattle dog mix with a true survivor’s spirit! This spunky girl was just minding her business in her yard at a rooming house in Memphis when, in an unfortunate incident, police responding to a call mistook her protective barking for aggression. Without provocation, she was tragically shot in the leg. Fortunately, her owner surrendered her, ensuring she could receive urgent medical attention and a chance at a much brighter future.Despite her injury and eventual amputation, LooLoo hasn’t let it dampen her zest for life. She’s still recovering from surgery, but her resilient spirit shines through, and we hope to fit her with a prosthetic once she's fully healed. PAWS New England will be covering her journey to find mobility and comfort.LooLoo is good with other dogs and would do best in a home with children over 12, as she hasn’t yet been tested with younger kids. Story
Meet Macaroni, a gentle giant with a heart full of love and a personality as comforting as a cozy blanket. This sweet red heeler mix has had a rough start in life, but he’s ready to leave his past behind and find a forever family to call his own.Macaroni’s story began in the rural Mississippi countryside, where he and his siblings were abandoned in a creek as tiny puppies. Thankfully, he was rescued and given the chance at a new life, and now he’s thriving in the warmth of human love. Despite his rocky beginnings, Macaroni is as affectionate and easygoing as they come.Macaroni loves everyone—young and old—and is always eager for affection. He can get a little excited and might jump up to give you a big, enthusiastic greeting, so we think he’d do best in a home with older children who can handle his joyful exuberance.Macaroni is dog-friendly, though he prefers female dogs. With patience, he’s shown that he can adjust to male dogs, especially if they’re given time to get to know each other. He’s crate-trained and is working on his leash and house training, but he’s a quick learner and eager to please. One of Macaroni’s favorite pastimes is running and playing in the backyard with his canine friends, but when the day winds down, he’s ready to settle in for the night and snuggle up inside and wait for his belly rubs.Macaroni would do best in a home with a large yard where he can stretch his legs, and a family who enjoys the quiet comfort of a laid-back companion. He would love to have a couple of female dog buddies to share his space with, and he’ll certainly return the favor with affection, loyalty, and endless love.If you have the space, the time, and the heart to welcome a sweet boy like Macaroni into your home, he’ll reward you with devotion and the kind of companionship that only a dog like him can give.
