Story
Meet Anna Anna is a 3 year old, pitbull mix who had a rough start to life being used over and over again for breeding purposes which has caused her to be a nervous lady in certain situations. She is in search of a forever home that can give her some stability. Anna would love nothing more than to live in the safety and comforts of a home with a family that will give her the love and attention she's always deserved. She will need an owner that is patient and understanding of her past; a low-traffic, adult only home where she could be the only pet would be ideal for her. She loves going for walks, playing with toys (she's a pro at fetch!) and getting belly rubs from staff. Anna is spayed, microchipped & up to date on vaccines. If you have a nice relaxing couch with an empty seat waiting to be filled- Go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form! (It can be found under the adoptable dogs section).

Story
Albert is a 4-5 year old 43 lb neutered male that is a mix. Not sure what breeds. He is extremely loving with people! Is crate trained ( likes the door open) and housetrained. Loves to play with running after balls and playing with other dogs! In foster before with small dogs and large dogs! But when he was adopted not long ago he had an incident with a small dog and was returned. So recommend larger dogs or no dogs. We have to cat test him yet! Was about to be euthanized in Texas at a kill shelter because of lack of space, not behavior ! He is an awesome dog! So we pulled him and had him transported her after being  neutered! He was questionable with cat testing . If you are interested in meeting or adopting Albert please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also adopt to military veterans with adoption fee waived in order to provide our heroes with companion or emotional support dogs . Our other adoptable pets our posted on our website as well as the very brief application form. https://rescuepetsservingvets.org. ##1983025##

Story
Alfie is a sweet (but shy) young cattle dog mix looking for a new home. He came to us with his sisters, Coralee and Anaalee, from a rescue in Mississippi! He is neutered and likes other dogs. Alfie needs someone with patience and understanding. He would do best with some positive training to help build his confidence. Alfie would be okay in a home with older teenagers. If you would like to adopt please fill out an application at www.hillsidespca.com. Alfie would require multiple visits before feeling comfortable with you.

Story
Bambi was surrendered as a blue heeler...bought from an auction at the jersey shore last summer. I'm not going to be the one to tell her she isn't very blue heeler-ish because she's perfect just the way she is! Bambi is high energy and ready for an active family to come adopt her! She previously lives with children and gets along with other dogs, and she is housebroken and crate trained too!

We pride ourselves in our commitment to the animals in our rescue. Gypsy has some special requests since returning to ODAAT. She is an incredibly bold, adventurous, curious, protective and loyal sidekick for a single dog owner environment. She is dominant force of a dog and loves fiercely once trust & love is gained. She wants to be your one and only dog. A home with no cats and children. She needs a calm home that just wants a dog to be their best friend. She loves to kayak, hike, run through fields of grass & sniff endlessly. She requires a lot of exercise and likes to be kept busy. She is leash trained and has been through 30 hours of obedience training. Gypsy has a few quirks however we are confident that with the right family, she will thrive. If you are interested in applying for Gypsy Rose, please complete an application at www.onedogatatime.us When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. Story
This girl is 26 pounds of energy and love. She had to be captured by the local animal control officer and was prettified. She was lunging and growling and very upset. But something in her eye just pleaded for me to help her. So I picked her up from the shelter and brought her home where George (our cat) helped me show her that humans and other animals are good. George helped her calm down and let her guard down and after about an hour she was giving me lots of kisses. She is hilarious and is definitely a lover. She may need a couple of minutes to feel safe, but once she does, she is glued to you. She is extremely smart, loves to go for rides, walks and hikes or any adventure (we went kayaking) She prefers not to be left alone as she does have some separation anxiety. This little girl is ready for her happily ever after. Please visit funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption process works. Her adoption fee is $325 and if transport is necessary that is an additional $200 We are hoping to find her someone local to TN. She is a special girl who will need a special mom or dad to navigate through her fears. I may end up writing a book about her as she has given me lots of great stories.
