Story
Longmire is guessed to be around a year old. He is a fun guy! He tested well with other dogs. He wants to rough house and wrestle. He will need a dog who can tolerate his shenanigans. He cannot live with cats. He would not respect their boundaries and was too interested in being friends. He has a lot of energy so children will need to be used to that. PA Kennel License #1333.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.•Lewistown PA• Gypsy Rose was adopted through ODAAT and has been returned. We pride ourselves in our commitment to the animals in our rescue. Gypsy has some special requests since returning to ODAAT. She is an incredibly bold, adventurous, curious, protective and loyal sidekick for a single dog owner environment. She is dominant force of a dog and loves fiercely once trust & love is gained. She wants to be your one and only dog. A home with no cats and children. She needs a calm home that just wants a dog to be their best friend. She loves to kayak, hike, run through fields of grass & sniff endlessly. She requires a lot of exercise and likes to be kept busy. She is leash trained and has been through 30 hours of obedience training. Gypsy has a few quirks however we are confident that with the right family, she will thrive. If you are interested in applying for Gypsy Rose, please complete an application at www.onedogatatime.us When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter.. This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a "first come first served" basis. Applications are found on our website www.onedogatatime.us.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 9:50 pm

Story
Meet Fawn, she is a mix breed with a lot of personality. She's about five years old and has as much energy as any puppy. Unfortunately, a combination of new traveling job and a second baby on the way has made it difficult for us to keep her. She is incredibly friendly, but a little high strung. We're looking to place her with someone who already has dogs so she has someone to play with and run some energy out of her. We would also like someone with a large fenced in yard so she can run. She's a very social dog, but is crate trained and is perfectly well behaved when left at home alone. She is great with our 18 month old and any kids we have come over, as well as with other dogs when we have to board her. She is a certified Canine Good Citizen. She sheds a lot, so be prepared for that. Other than that, she is anxious and still behaves like a puppy, despite her age. She is a good dog, but our home is too small for her and two kids under 3.

Story
Age: 4 months Size: 20 lbs Estimated breed: Cattle Dog/Shiba Inu mix Perfect home: Working breed experience, no kids under 12, no cats/small animals Update from my foster 7/29: Lucy is a proud graduate of a board and train program! During her time away, Lucy focused on learning foundational skills and general manners. She knows “sit,” “leave it,” and “go crate.” She’s also gained self-confidence and how to entertain herself , which is a super useful skill for a young puppy to have. Lucy is a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and playing with other dogs. She can be a little much for kitties and small dogs, so she’d do best in a home with dogs her size and larger! She loves to chill in the yard, soaking up the sun and chasing birds and butterflies. Playing fetch and playing with a flirt pole are also super fun and help satisfy Lucy’s prey drive and burn energy! Due to her prey drive, Lucy is not a dog who can ever be trusted off-leash, and will need a home either with a secure fence, or an owner committed to leashed potty breaks and daily walks. Lucy is such a sweet girl who can’t wait to show off her new skill with a forever family. She promises to repay them with tons of love, kisses, and fun!   Lucy and her siblings were found living on the streets of Texas, where homeless dogs are too many to count and shelters are already dangerously overcapacity. It's clear these puppies were born and raised as strays, as they were so shy and timid with people. Their luck turned around when good samaritans picked them up and kept them safe until we could fly them up to PA to begin looking for their forever homes!    Lucy is around 11 weeks old and weighs 10 lbs. We are guessing she is a cattle dog/shiba inu mix, but since we don't know who her parents are we can't say for sure. She is a little spitfire who does great meeting new people and adores playing with other dogs. She loves to run and play with her doggie foster siblings in the yard and is discovering how fun toys can be. Lucy can be stubborn and becomes frustrated if she doesn't get what she wants, so she'd excel in a home experienced with working dogs. She will thrive if given training, boundaries, and consistency while still young! Due to some of her herding tendencies, we feel she'd do best in a home without young children under 12 years old or cats/small animals. With time, patience, training, and plenty of love, Lucy will blossom into a confident young girl!    To adopt Lucy, please apply on our website! https://www.nirvanaanimalrescue.org/adoption-application   Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our animals. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training.   PA Kennel License #18366 July 30, 2024, 10:27 am
