Story
Mary Jane is a spayed cattle dog mix. She’s 3-4 years old, 40 lbs. She’s grown up with kids but is territorial in and around their home towards other people and kids. Outside her own neighborhood she’s shy and needs some time to warm up to new dogs and people. She’s nervous but interested in other dogs. She chases cats. MJ is obedient, smart, food-motivated, and great with her family and kids. Owners have tried a dog trainer but simply don’t have the time to devote to exposure and advanced training. She goes to the dog sitters homes and after a 15 minute warmup period does well with other dogs. If you’re interested in a fun little dog that needs her own person, please fill out an application at sccpets.com (at no cost or obligation to you). Her adoption donation is $200.November 5, 2024, 12:47 pm

Story
We got Rooster when he was a puppy from a family friend about 1.5 years ago. He came into our family of 5 (3 kids), 2 cats, & 1 very small dog. He is crate trained and obeys a handful of basic commands. He is walked daily; however, he would greatly benefit from more activity and work. Rooster is very much a working dog, and our family doesn't have the time to dedicate to this. Our issue with his obedience stems from our tiny dog. The tiny dog has different rules than Roster, like being aloud on the furniture, bed, laps, etc. Rooster wants to get the same privileges as the tiny dog, and this causes behavior issues like jumping up, barking, and not following his basic commands. We think he could be a very dog in a different environment like a farm, property, with other dogs like him, lots of activity, etc. Like most dogs, Rooster just wants to please you and get attention.

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ow1snfQd7sg&t=1s Las Vegas is a beautiful girl who had to raise not one but two litters at an abandoned house. Look at the video to see when I first found them. She had 3 older puppies and 3 babies with her. She weighs around 35 lbs and is great with other dogs. She is ok around cats, not aggressive, but will chase them if they run, so no kitties in her home. She is very submissive with humans and mostly with other dogs as well. The only time she can get a little dominant is when it comes to feeding time (only with other dogs, not with humans) but can you really blame her? She had to fend for herself and all of her babies and make sure she and them don't starve. She is fed with several other dogs and there are no actual issues, she just growls sometimes and wants to eat first or have her own bowl, but she has NEVER attacked or gone beyond growling. She is such a sweet and deserving little momma and she should finally get a break and get some rest in her very own home with her very own family. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Adoption fee: $485 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Video (copy and paste the link into a new browser window) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UITPKGHPYo Sissy was see being dumped by a woman on a rural road with her sister, a beagle mix, and a yorkie. They were terrified and Sissy and Sassy were only about 4 months old at the time. It took me all day to find and catch all 4 of them. Sissy is about 7-8 months old now and weighs around 30 lbs or less. She hasn't grown in a while so I think she is full grown now. She appears to be a heeler mix and her sister looks just like her too. She is great with other dogs and with cats. She is a bit more on the independent side and doesn't crave lots of attention from her human but does enjoy receiving it when attention and kisses are given to her. She loves water and romping in the woods. She follows like a champ off leash and does well in a crate too. She will be a great adventure buddy to someone lucky. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well.
