We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. ___ Meet Mylo – a 4-year-old, neutered, 44-pound Cattle Dog mix with a tongue that just can’t be tamed and a heart that’s even bigger. Currently in a foster home in San Antonio, TEXAS, Mylo is ready to transport out of state once his forever family is approved and ready to fall in love. Let’s start with the obvious: Mylo has a perma-blep. That’s right—his tongue is just a little too long for his mouth, and it’s almost always peeking out like he’s mid-lick or permanently saying, “hi.” A vet has checked it out and confirmed there’s nothing wrong—he was just born with extra tongue and endless flavor to sample. It doesn’t cause him pain, but it does mean he occasionally needs a little extra hydration. He also has a slight protruding bone at the base of his rib cage—again, no cause for concern, just more proof that this boy was truly “born this way.” We like to say he’s one part goofball, one part model, and 100% original. Mylo is an affectionate, silly, and curious guy who loves to play and explore. He has a bit of that classic Cattle Dog energy—he thrives with daily activity, enjoys long walks, and loves a good romp in the yard. He plays well with dogs of all sizes and currently lives in a multi-dog home with pups ranging from tiny Chihuahuas to an 80-pound Boxer mix. He does well reading other dogs’ social cues and adjusts his play accordingly. He’s also very vocal when he plays or gets excited—growling, grunting, and making silly noises are just part of his charm. Once you get to know him, you’ll realize it’s just his voice, not a sign of anything aggressive. He enjoys meeting new dogs on walks, though he might sound a little intense at first—again, that vocal streak—but he’s friendly and well-mannered. He’s shown some interest in chasing cats, so to be safe, a feline-free home is best. Mylo has met children of various ages through his foster family and has done well overall. Due to his occasional jumping and enthusiasm, we recommend a home with older kids (10+) who are steady on their feet and understand how to interact with an active dog. He’s loving and playful, and with continued positive training, will only improve his manners. This boy LOVES walks and has a zest for getting out and about. He can pull on leash when excited, so a no-pull harness or Gentle Leader may help make walks more enjoyable. He’s fully house trained and has been trusted to stay loose when unsupervised, usually sticking to his gated area and dog bed like a gentleman. While he hasn’t been crated in his foster home, he’s done very well with the freedom and would likely thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not, or with a flexible schedule. Mylo is currently fed separately from the other dogs—not because he’s aggressive, but because he prefers not to share his snacks or special treats. (Honestly, who among us does?) With his people, though, he’s playful, cuddly, and incredibly affectionate. He greets his foster dad with enthusiastic hops and playful vocalizations, looking like the happiest dog in the world—with his tongue hanging out and his tail wagging in full swing. He’s also very smart and responsive to redirection. He listens when called, loves being praised, and wants so badly to be a good boy. Like many herding breeds, he thrives on routine and benefits from clear communication and a bit of structure. He may occasionally flinch at quick movements or new objects (like a broom), so a patient home that understands his background and lets him settle in at his own pace will help him feel his best. Currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS, Brody is ready to transport out of state once his forever family is approved. Brody is that rare, wonderful balance of being active enough to enjoy outdoor adventures and mellow enough to fully embrace a lazy day of Netflix and cuddles. Whether he’s chasing a toy in the backyard or melting into your side with his signature tongue-out smile, Brody is the definition of a lovable goofball. He doesn’t mind getting dressed up for holidays or themed events—he’s happy to strut in his rodeo best or festive costume, just as long as he’s doing it with his people. Brody has done best with friendly, laid-back female dogs and tends to prefer a more relaxed playmate. Because of his size and love for running, he may be a bit much for smaller or more timid dogs, but he’s also fully content being your one-and-only pup, as long as he has space to stretch his legs and get some zoomies out in the yard. A home with a secure backyard is ideal for him to enjoy some off-leash play. He’s a gentle sweetheart with people—always happy to meet new faces and has done well with the children he’s met. Because of his playful energy, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids (8–10+) who are steady on their feet and understand how to respectfully interact with dogs. Brody would love nothing more than a buddy to play with, run around the yard, and then wind down with for snuggles. No cats for Brody, please, as he’s not quite sure how to share space with feline friends. When it comes to leash manners, Brody is a total gentleman. He walks calmly on a loose leash, stays close by, and enjoys a good stroll. He’s also fully housebroken and crate trained, and does wonderfully in his crate when left unsupervised, especially since he currently shares a home with other dogs. He loves his plush toys—especially giving their faces a little “customization” with his enthusiastic chomps! Brody is smart, food-motivated, and eager to please. He thrives in a home that offers structure, consistency, and encouragement. His foster mom has put in great work helping him polish his obedience skills, and he’s made huge progress! While he may still get a little excited around assertive male dogs, with calm guidance and continued positive experiences, he’s continued to show how well he can adapt. He would be a great match for someone with experience with Cattle Dogs, Pitbulls, or other intelligent working breeds. Some dogs burst into a room and some quietly take a spot next to you on the couch. Rusty Cutie Patootie is very much the second kind he is gentle and peaceful. He has a presence that brings a sense of calm wherever he goes there is something comforting about having him nearby he just exists alongside you. His quiet nature makes every small connection feel meaningful, and when he chooses to lean in or linger by it feels so special. Rusty is a handsome cattle dog husky mix who’s about a year and a half old and weighs 60 pounds. He has a quiet presence and a gentle way about him. Rusty isn’t the type to demand attention instead, he stands nearby and softly lets you know he’s happy just being close. At first Rusty may come off as a little reserved but once he settles in he would love to lay next to his people all day. He may not immediately seek out constant affection but he truly appreciates it. Rusty did very well around other dogs. He was very polite, respectful and calm greeting them with sniffs and good manners. Well he didn’t show interest in playing or roughhousing he coexisted amazingly even with dogs who were eager to engage him. Rusty simply prefers to do his own thing. Explore the yard sniffing around or standing nearby taking everything in. Because of this he would do best with the calm, respectful dog sibling who won’t pressure him to play, though he would also be perfectly happy as an only dog soaking up a peaceful routine. When it comes to people Rusty does best when he is given a little time and space to feel comfortable, he can be unsure when people approach him quickly or when there’s a lot going on around him so a quiet, low traffic home would be ideal. Either an apartment or home with a yard could work for him. He does seem a bit uneasy around cars so a less busy area would help him feel more at ease to build confidence. One of his sweetest qualities is how well he did with kids. He showed a gentle calm, presents around them and seemed most comfortable in their company. He would do best with children who understand how to respect a dogs space allowing him to approach on his own terms and not push boundaries. But he is good with kids being crazy and roughhousing. He didn’t react just sat there and watched. Rusty did meet our cat and he did pretty well didn’t react much. I think he would need to get another cat test done to be sure but it is possible he could live with a cat. Rusty is not high energy or demanding. He’s a nice calm, easy-going dog who doesn’t need constant simulation to be happy, he’s a type of dog who would enjoy quiet mornings, long walks and peaceful evenings at home. With time,consistency and patience rusty has all the potential to blossom into an incredible loyal and loving best friend. Big ears, bigger heart, and BEST personality. Atlanta Peaches is the literal definition of happiness! Oh my goodness, is she happy all the time and has the ability to make every single person around her smile. Her ears do too LOL which are my personal favorite thing about her. Atlanta is more than just happy all the time, she is incredibly smart, loyal, dog friendly, loves every person that she meets, and so entertaining to watch when she plays with toys. She is a beautiful blend of fun and snuggles. She will literally use your foot as it dangles while you work to give herself extra affection. You can say her love language is all physical touch! It also doesn't take much to make her happy! She radiates with happiness and just wants to be with her people. People are her happy place. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. One thing is a guarantee with Atlanta is that she is bursting at the seems with love and happinesses that it's contagious. Atlanta dog friendly and has been around a variety of different dogs all with different personalities and temperaments. She is not the playful type with other dogs and is more of a relaxed hangout type of girly that prefers to get attention from people. She is happy to be around dogs that have the same cool, calm, collected tempo as her. Atlanta also appreciates being around dogs that give her space at the beginning to get to know them first. She's a polite and respectful gal that likes for the same energy to be reciprocated. Once’s she’s comfortable, she does the cutest little play bows and loves to zoom around with her new friend in light hearted games of chase. In a home, she would do best with a mellow male dog that enjoys the company of other dogs and isn't looking for a playmate, only looking for company. She'll be perfect for that! Atlanta also does not need another dog in the home, so no worries there if you don't have a dog. She is so loving and affectionate that she has enough love to give that is equivalent to 3 dogs combined. She's something special! Atlanta would also do best in a home with no cats as she was a little too interested in our house cat Biggie. When it comes to training, Atlanta is ready and eager to learn! She loves treats and already knows a few basic commands such a sit and I'm fairly certain she has the foundation of already knowing how to sit pretty. You could probably even teach her how to dance too LOL. Atlanta is fairly easy to walk on a leash and only pulls every so often. Mainly, she'll pull towards something that smells yummy or interesting or she'll want pull towards someone to say hello to. Atlanta really does love every she meets! She responds well to correction and with consistency and practice she'll be walking like a queen on leash. Atlanta has wonderful house manners and is crate and potty trained. Atlanta will thrive with a semi-active family that enjoys frequent outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, going to the beach or even casual play time in the yard. A family or individual who appreciates nature and is ready to explore parks, trails, or snowy landscapes would be perfect. While she loves the great outdoors and loves to explore, Atlanta is also an affectionate gal at home and loves to burry her head into you for love. If you enjoy the outdoors but also cherish time spent relaxing indoors, Atlanta is the perfect fit. She would also do best in a home with a backyard as well. A place where she can stretch her legs, check out all of her favorite sniff spots, and roll around in the grass and sunbathe during those beautiful summer days. This cutie is Ranger. He is currently 7 months old. We think they may be a Heeler / Australian Cattle dog mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. She is fortunate and is being fostered in a loving home where they have shared she is peaceful, easy-going presence and a quiet way of keeping you company -never demanding, never overwhelming, just happy to be near you and part of the moment. She is estimated to be 3 years old and weighs 34 lbs- perfectly pint-sized and petite. Dolly is currently fostered in a loving home where she’s shown what a dream she can be day to day. She’s house trained and crate trained, settles beautifully at home, and will happily warm your lap as soon as offered. She’s affectionate in a soft, understated way with a true love for the resident recliner. She walks nicely on leash and is generally easy to manage, though new environments can make her a bit unsure so living somewhere with peaceful walking spaces will be important. In other words, Dolly would be happiest in a quieter neighborhood or a calm apartment building rather than a busy, city-style lifestyle with lots of noise and constant activity. Think peaceful streets, slower mornings, and a cozy couch (or recliner) to return to. Dolly lives with cats and respects them well. One of her feline housemates enjoys running, which sometimes sparks a very slow, half-hearted chase - more curiosity than intensity - and overall she coexists nicely with cats who understand dog boundaries and people who can read her chase as innocent playfulness. With other dogs, Dolly is polite, she is not initially a playful dog and won’t be the one to start out the play session but she handles being around busy, playful dogs calmly and confidently. She does get the occasional zoomie inspired moment with a dog in her foster home who is easy-going and playful without being pushy. In group settings, she tends to sniff hello and then wander off to contentedly do her own thing. She could live in a home with other dogs as long as they have each other to play with and don’t pressure her to join in. A lower-energy pup-pal who isn’t pushy would be the best fit but it is just as easy to see her being happy as your one-and-only. She hasn’t met littles yet, but we could see her doing well with older kids who will let her take her time to get to know them and build a friendship. She’s not a chaos-loving dog, and we all know that little kids bring their own kind of fun-loving chaos, she just isn't that kind of girl, she’s a quiet companion kind of girl. Dolly may not be the life of the party, but she’s something even better, steady, sweet, and perfectly snuggly.
