Story
Name, age, breed: Whitney, 7m, Australian Shepard mix Likes: Meeting new people and new animals! She loves going for long walks and learning how to dog. She`s a big snuggle bug. She sleeps during the day and gets her puppy zoomies at night, which is her favourite time to play with toys. Dislikes: being in her crate while her humans are still up and out of the room. New places are still a little scary. What would be the ideal home? Room to run around and play. Could do well with another dog for confidence but could be a solo dog if her humans helped and encouraged her to be adventurous and social. Good with other cats? Yes, is fairly neutral towards them and would be good with a dog savvy cat.Good with dogs? Yes, loves them!Good with children? Yes, good with everyone really.Temperament: She`s very friendly and loving. Fairly low-key for a puppy (chills during the daytime), but does get big energy in the evening. She`s very sweet and breaking out of her shy shell.Motivators? Treats, praise, confident pals.Any commands? Just sit so far, she`s working on lay down and recall (she`s just starting to know her name).House trained? Getting so much better, but there are occasional accidents if she`s left alone for too long.Crate trained? Also getting better at. She whines to start but eventually settles. How long will it take to settle into a new environment? A few weeksAny special needs or traits an adopter should know? She has a low appetite, she likes to graze on her food throughout the day. Pretty good on leash so far!If you think Whitney is the one for you - fill out an application today!
