Story
We really outdid ourselves with originality in naming Cattle Dog, or “Cattle D” for not much shorter. Cattle Dog has all the energy and big personality you would expect from a Cattle Dog—he will patrol your yard to protect it from both squirrels and ghosts, but when not under attack from these nefarious villains, he loves to play with his friends and loves giving kisses and hugs and getting attention from his people. He’s a fantastic dog and just the best boy. A physically fenced yard is required. Cattle Dog is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. Story
Harry is so cute and sweet. We just love his big blue eyes and freckle on his nose. He loves to eat and is a bit of a piggy. Overall he is super chill, he doesnt bark or whine much, loves to play with toys or chew on bones and loves to snuggle. He will be fine as a single pet, with plenty of human attention, or will enjoy another pet playmate. He does great with my kids and is super curious about the big dogs in our house. He sleeps through the night without whining in his room (he is not crated at night but gated up in our laundry room). He will make a wonderful family pet. We dont think he has any vision problems, and he definitely has hearing just not sure if its 100%. Here are some photos of sweet beautiful Harry. You can apply to meet him at ricopetrecovery.org. Adoption fee is $350 and includes neuter, microchip and first 2 vaccines. 3rd and 4th vaccines will be covered by the new owner.

Story
Willy (William) is our tiny little deaf and blind special little guy. He is spunky and does whine when hes not getting enough attention. William is quite teeny tiny, definitely the little runt of the litter (about 1/2 the size of his brother) Willy will always need a buddy by his side, he does not do well alone. He loves attention from kids and snuggles as much as possible. Hes not a great eater, but does love to chew on a bone or play with a toy. He also sleeps through the night without whining in his room. Willy will require a special family who is willing to work with him and give him plenty of love and attention. Here are some photos of adorable little WillyYou can apply to meet Willy at ricopetrecovery.org. Adoption fee is $350 and includes neuter, microchip and first two sets of vaccines. Owner will cover 3rd and 4th set.

Story
Meet Bandit! This sweet 3 year old Australian Shepherd is ready to find his special home! Bandit came to us in 2023 as an owner surrender. He went through our PUPP training program and was quickly adopted! Unfortunately, it wasn’t the happily ever after we were hoping for. He has developed some separation anxiety and this caused the owners to be facing eviction from their apartment complex. They made the tough decision to return him to the rescue after having him for 10 months. We have spent the last month working with Bandit and identifying some of his anxieties. He is definitely triggered by being left alone. He does not destroy anything in the crate or try to escape! But he will bark incessantly. Due to this we do not recommend he live in an apartment, condo, townhouse or any home with shared wall space. Bandit started anxiety meds last week (Trazodone 2 times a day) and they seem to be helping! His barking when left has been cut way down! Typically, now he will only bark for 15-30 minutes, then sleeps while crated the rest of the day. His anxiousness also shows when meeting new people. He is very standoffish with other dogs and humans when he first meets them. But once he warms up, he is your best friend! Now on to the good! He is such a sweet pup! When you are home he is happy to run around the backyard, play with another dog, then grab a toy and chill out. He loves cuddling on the couch and sleeping in bed at night . He is a little intimidated by larger dogs, but does great with dogs his size or smaller! (His best friend in his foster home is a 1 year old Cocker Spaniel!) He is also great with cats! He has shown being pretty uncomfortable around kids so we recommend an adult only home or teenage aged kids. Due to his breed and age, Bandit is active! He will need a family committed to exercise and mental stimulation. We have found his anxiety in the crate decreases when he has had proper exercise before going in! (A walk, playtime in the backyard, etc.) He also has his moments of being a total couch potato <3. He would benefit greatly from someone who works from home! Bandit is 45 lbs., neutered, vaccinated, HW tested, microchipped, potty trained and knows basic commands! If you have space in your heart and home to give this guy the patience he needs we promise he is worth it! If you are interested please visit our website and complete an adoption application: https://www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables His fee is $350  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Due to the volume of apps and inquiries, we may not be able to respond to everyone.November 27, 2024, 9:50 am
