Story
Rusty came to us because a friend of ours has moved and could not take him with them. We already have our hands full with 3 dogs of our own. Rusty is a very sweet dog. He craves snuggles. He’s fun to play with and loves attention meaning being close to you and loyal. He loves to be at his masters side. He’s good with our dogs however we have only had him for 3 weeks now. He’s trying to find his place with the 3 dogs we have and he wants to be THE ONE. Haha! He wants to be the favorite. He loves to be outside. He used to be an outdoor dog and we potty trained him and crate trained him and he has done so well. He would lift his leg the first day and we would get after him he learned fast that we don’t do that. He never does it now. He may need reminded in a new environment as all dogs do. He will be a forever best friend. I couldn’t get my YouTube videos of him to load so here is my YouTube channel name. Hopefully this helps! @sarahbean6170

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sweet Luna came to our rescue with puppies. She was an incredible momma. All of her pups have since been adopted but she is still patiently waiting on someone to call her their girl. She loves walks and just discovered how much she loves the sand volleyball court! This sweet girl came to DASH fearful and shy with little confidence. She has made great strides in the DASH Prison Training Program. Her handler says " Luna is better than a good pet, she's a good friend and a great roommate". When you wake up, she's looking at you like "What are we going to do today?", but she is not afraid to be alone either. She will do best with a person who responds in a calm, relaxed approach. She is highly intelligent, affectionate and loyal and attaches quickly to one person. She loves everyone though. She's a great dog who just needs a chance with a family that has time for her. She will need time to decompress, with love and patience to show her she is safe and part of the family. Luna is not cat-friendly but is sociable with other dogs, just not puppies. She has not been "kid tested" so proper meet & greets are always in order. We are excited and anticipate Luna finding her perfect home. Rescue Luna and she'll rescue you. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Fancy! Oh my goodness, look at this pretty girl with her salt & pepper looks and those accessorizing black ears! She is just a little beauty and is looking to waltz her fancy-pants self into your home and fill it with joy. She is currently in the DASH Prison Training Program where she is learning puppy manners and basic commands. She seems to be very intelligent and is learning fast but of course she will need to continue her training in her new home environment to fully develop. Her trainer says she is very affectionate and relaxed, also smart and sociable. Fancy likes to play with her toys and the other dogs and her favorite game is fetch. She is housebroken, walks on a leash, doesn't complain in her crate but would much rather be snuggling with you! She has not been cat or kid tested. She would love to meet you and see if you're her forever family. Apply to meet her today! Story
We really outdid ourselves with originality in naming Cattle Dog, or “Cattle D” for not much shorter. Cattle Dog has all the energy and big personality you would expect from a Cattle Dog—he will patrol your yard to protect it from both squirrels and ghosts, but when not under attack from these nefarious villains, he loves to play with his friends and loves giving kisses and hugs and getting attention from his people. He’s a fantastic dog and just the best boy. A physically fenced yard is required. Cattle Dog is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. Story
Mochi is a Great Pyrenees/Australian Cattle dog mix (based on DNA test for one of her siblings). Mom was a pure-breed Australian Cattle dog. Mochi is going on 2 years of age and weighs around 45 pounds. But she is tall and slim with long legs. Mochi was born at our rescue, was adopted, and has just been returned. We can find nothing wrong with this sweet girl. She is housetrained and crate-trained, obeys commands (sit, come, no), walks well on a leash, and is very well-mannered in the house (only one counter-surfing incident so far). Most of the hard work is done with this one. As with all dogs, her adoptive family must be the pack leaders. Mochi will benefit from continued training and socialization. She is good with children as her previous family had children and two other dogs. Mochi is active. We have many other dogs here at the rescue and she gets along with all of them. She loves other dogs and always wants to play. She is very submissive and rolls over on her back. Understandably, she was scared and confused about the trip back to Texas. But she adjusted quickly. She is food-motivated. Mochi is a very wonderful dog and deserves a fabulous forever home. She must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a fenced yard to run and play. Mochi is spayed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Lyme, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. She is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Mocha's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to several scheduled stops in Ohio - including but not limited to - Columbus, Cincinnati, and Akron OH. Story
RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.
