Story
Jax is a 2 year old, un-neutered male, who is very energetic but a very loyal dog. Jax come to us when he was about 5-6 months old, from a desperate family member who could not keep up with him due to health issues. Unfortunately the past year or so, Jax has not been getting along with our older dog which has resulted to us having to keep them separated. Due to our older dog’s age and health, we feel it would be best to indefinitely separate the two. We feel Jax could thrive in a new home, with a lot of room for running and play, he loves toys, tug of war and fetch. With Jax’s dominate behavior over other dogs and his temperament level, he would be best suited in a home as the only dog and with older children, if any. Jax is updated on all vaccinations, he also has an appointment to be neutered in September at a low cost pet clinic. Jax is potty trained as well as crate trained, he also loves going on walks. Please help Jax find a better suited home where he can thrive.

Story
Our pets are fostered and physically located in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can deliver to your location or one of our north eastern delivery locations. We have a transporter who delivers north ever other week. Aggie came from a local shelter along with her pups. Aggie was surrendered because she was VERY PROTECTIVE over her puppies. The former owner had a small child in the home and she was concerned about her toddler's well being. Aggie had always been perfect with her family until her pups were born. Being a protective first time mom is ONLY NATURAL and to be expected, The shelter knew my love for heelers and they knew I would be patient with her. I have handled Aggie extensively and she is a good girl. She would be better with women verses men. She is good with other dogs and I think she would be great on a working farm. That is where she came from, a working farm. She would be best with an active person and she would not do well cooped up in a small apartment all day. SHE IS A WORKING DOG. She is crate trained. She will go to her new home current on vaccines, heartworm tested(neg), current on preventives, deworming and microchipped. She will be spayed. She will receive a complete physical and a certificate of health issued by my vet prior to going home. The adopter will get all her health records with adoption. We require a pre screen application to adopt. You can get that on our website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
Bindi is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix weighing 30 pounds. She came to the shelter as an owner surrender due to not being able to provide the time and attention she needs. Potential adopters required to understand breed specific needs. Bindi is a high energy dog and needs an active family, she will not do well if left alone for any period of time. Bindi can be timid with strangers, letting her approach you is best. Once she knows you, she's a very sweet girl and loves belly rubs. Bindi is very smart, quick to listen to commands, she's been through puppy training and basic obedience classes. She loves to be outside and go on adventures, good at parks. She LOVES to play fetch, a tennis ball is her favorite toy. If she does not have a daily outlet for her energy and need to "work" or is left alone she becomes very anxious. When she becomes bored she gets herself into trouble. She is good with other dogs, another dog in the home may help her thrive. Good with children over 12 who will understand her boundaries. Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $20.75. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today!
